Έτοιμο το Podemos να αλλάξει το πολιτικό σκηνικό

ΙΣΠΑΝΙΑ – δημοτικές εκλογές

Την πρώτη σημαντική και ιδιαίτερα συμβολική εκλογική νίκη είναι έτοιμο να πετύχει το Podemos στις δημοτικές εκλογές της Κυριακής στην Ισπανία, κερδίζοντας τη δημαρχία της Βαρκελώνης, της πρωτεύουσας της Καταλωνίας. Θα πρόκειται για το πρώτο μεγάλο τεστ του κινήματος στην άσκηση της εξουσίας, που θα επισημοποιήσει παράλληλα τη μετεξέλιξή του από κινηματικό μέτωπο σε πλατιά κοινωνική συμμαχία ρήξης και ανατροπής.

Η πρωτοφανής κοινωνική κρίση, αποτέλεσμα των μέτρων λιτότητας που επέβαλαν Βερολίνο και Βρυξέλλες στην Ισπανία ως αντάλλαγμα των τραπεζικών διασώσεων, έχει υπερσκελίσει πλέον όλα τα άλλα ζητήματα που κινητοποιούν τους Καταλανούς, όπως το αίτημα για ανεξαρτησία.

Η λίστα "Barcelona en Comun" (Συλλογική Βαρκελώνη), στην οποία συμμετέχουν κόμματα της εξωκοινοβουλευτικής Αριστεράς με επικεφαλής το Podemos, θεωρείται φαβορί για τις εκλογές της Κυριακής στο μεγάλο λιμάνι της Μεσογείου και δεύτερη μεγαλύτερη πόλη της Ισπανίας, με πληθυσμό 1,6 εκατ. κατοίκων.

«Μπορούμε να κερδίσουμε τη Βαρκελώνη, αιχμή του δόρατος μιας δημοκρατικής αλλαγής στην Ισπανία και στον Νότο της Ευρώπης», δηλώνει στο Γαλλικό Πρακτορείο η Άντα Κολάου, επικεφαλής του ψηφοδελτίου του συνασπισμού, οι "απαρχές" του οποίου ανάγονται στο κίνημα των Αγανακτισμένων, τον Μάιο του 2011. Η 41χρονη ακτιβίστρια δεν έχει "εκπαιδευθεί" στην πολιτική, όμως ο συνεπής αγώνας της για την υπεράσπιση των μικροϊδιοκτητών και των ενοικιαστών που απειλούνται με έξωση, στις τάξεις της οργάνωσης PAH, την έκανε γνωστή και αποδεκτή στο ευρύ κοινό.

Αν κερδίσει τη δημαρχία, την οποία κατέχει από το 2011 ο συντηρητικός εθνικιστής Ξαβιέ Τρίας του κόμματος CiU, η Άντα Κολάου υπόσχεται να επιτεθεί στην «επείγουσα κοινωνική κρίση» που πλήττει την πόλη, η οποία έχει 107.000 ανέργους, ενώ το ένα τρίτο των κατοίκων της βρίσκεται στα όρια της φτώχειας. Το πρόγραμμά της προβλέπει τη μετατροπή των άδειων διαμερισμάτων σε κοινωνικές κατοικίες, τη θέσπιση ενός ελάχιστου εισοδήματος 600 ευρώ για τις φτωχές οικογένειες και μειώσεις στην τιμή του νερού, του αερίου και του ηλεκτρικού.

Η «μάχη» της Μαδρίτης

Ο Δήμος της Μαδρίτης έχει ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον, καθώς στην κάλπη συγκρούονται δύο διαφορετικοί κόσμοι. Η Εσπεράνθα Αγκίρε συναντά την Μανουέλα Καρμένα.

Η Εσπεράνθα Αγκίρε είναι η υποψήφια του Λαϊκού Κόμματος (ΡΡ) του Μαριάνο Ραχόι και η Μανουέλα Καρμένα τέθηκε επικεφαλής της συμμαχίας Αhora Madrid, την οποία στηρίζουν οι Podemos, αλλά και κινήματα της ευρύτερης Αριστεράς.

Η 63χρονη Αγκίρε είναι παλιά καραβάνα στην πολιτική. Πολλοί την χαρακτηρίζουν Θάτσερ της Ισπανίας, λόγω των φιλελεύθερων θέσεών της. Δημοτική σύμβουλος από τη δεκαετία του 1980, έγινε υπουργός Παιδείας στην πρώτη κυβέρνηση του Χοσέ Μαρία Αθνάρ το 1996, ενώ το 1999 εξελέγη πρόεδρος της Γερουσίας.

Ακολούθησε μια δεκαετία στην ηγεσία της περιφερειακής κυβέρνησης της Μαδρίτης, από την οποία αποχώρησε -προς έκπληξη όλων- το 2013, λόγω προβλημάτων υγείας. Βέβαια, κανείς δεν πίστεψε ότι ένας άνθρωπος με την πολιτική στο αίμα του θα αποχωρούσε οριστικά. Και πράγματι, πριν από λίγο καιρό ανακοινώθηκε ότι θα είναι η υποψήφια του Λαϊκού Κόμματος για τον Δήμο της Μαδρίτης.

Η 71χρονη Μανουέλα Καρμένα είναι δικηγόρος και πριν από λίγα χρόνια συνταξιοδοτήθηκε από το δικαστικό σώμα. Τα χρόνια της δικτατορίας του Φράνκο υπερασπίστηκε τα εργατικά δικαιώματα, όπως και κρατούμενους από το καθεστώς.

Υπήρξε μέλος του ΚΚ Ισπανίας, ενώ το 1977 ίδρυσε μαζί με άλλους συναδέλφους της ένα δικηγορικό γραφείο για την υπεράσπιση των εργασιακών δικαιωμάτων.

Τον Φεβρουάριο του 1977, στα δύσκολα ακόμα χρόνια της Μεταπολίτευσης, ακροδεξιοί ένοπλοι μπήκαν στο γραφείο και σκότωσαν πέντε δικηγόρους. Εκείνη γλίτωσε. Αρκετά χρόνια αργότερα, τρία άτομα καταδικάστηκαν σε πολυετείς ποινές κάθειρξης για τις δολοφονίες.

Μόλις βγήκε στη σύνταξη, άνοιξε ένα blog προκειμένου να ενθαρρύνει το διάλογο για περισσότερη και καλύτερη δικαιοσύνη.

Παράλληλα, έστησε ένα μαγαζί σε κεντρικό σημείο της Μαδρίτης, όπου πωλούνται είδη μπεμπέ φτιαγμένα από φυλακισμένες γυναίκες. Μάλιστα τα έσοδα διατίθενται για την κάλυψη των αναγκών τους.

Ακόμα και η ίδια η Καρμένα συμμετέχει σχεδιάζοντας παπουτσάκια για μωρά. Κυκλοφορεί δε πάντα με ποδήλατο.

To 2015 αποδέχθηκε την πρόταση να τεθεί επικεφαλής της λίστας Ahora Madrid για το αξίωμα του δημάρχου.

Η μάχη μεταξύ των δύο αντανακλά τη μάχη που δίνεται στην κεντρική πολιτική σκηνή εν όψει των βουλευτικών. Η συζήτηση στις τηλεμαχίες ξεφεύγει από τα προγράμματα για τις γειτονιές της Μαδρίτης και αφορά όλη την Ισπανία.
