Varoufakis exposes Troika's CIA-type method

Here's Varoufakis describing how Greece's creditors, the European Commission, European Central Bank and IMF (informally known as the Troika) treat the country's economy: 'Shortly before the cardiac arrest, we are granted a few breaths of air. Then we are put under water again, and the cycle starts anew.'”

The bailout Greece has been getting allows it to keep its public finances flowing, but also includes severe austerity conditions, as well as structural reforms like the privatisation of government-owned assets. When Spiegel said there were good people working at the Troika, this was Varoufakis' response: 'There were also very good people at the CIA when waterboarding was used against their will and therefore were in a terrible moral dilemma.'”

Given Germany's scepticism of US foreign policy, this comparison might play a little better, but it's unlikely to make him many friends at the CIA.”

"Today, Troika's joined forces in Greece represent a more 'successful story': In just three years, between 2010 and 2013, the GDP of the country shrank by 25%, not to mention the unprecedented poverty and unemployment. So, the joined forces of the European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund present better 'achievements' than IMF by itself." Tho one fights to maintain hope Syriza will not betray ...

Syriza's Tspiras & Varoufakis are tied to billionaire George Soros & the CIA-Brookings USA stink think tank, Varoufakis as well to US billionaire Bill Gates & to Greece's past Papandreou gov't ... & now the world's most famous fake progressive, US regime leader & fraud Barack Obama, is supporting Syriza too, as if in a kiss of death. These are enough seedy oligarch connections to chill the heart.

All current 'pressures' on Syriza (ECB cutting off bank funding etc) were crystal-clear predictable. After all, this is how the EU-ECB-IMF Troika sabotaged and removed from power, both Berlusconi in Italy, and Papandreou in Greece itself the other year, when Papandreou partly redeemed himself by trying to offer Greek citizens an Iceland-style referendum on their servitude.

It's said as well Tspiras has been crushing the anti-euro group within Syriza ... blocking Greeks from the key knowledge of which they are deprived, that it is the euro itself which is a prime tool of their slavery. Will Syriza betray? I fear ...

In a variety of interviews (most in his mother tongue) he has explained away many of connections alleged in the other readers comments. Varoufakis has been true to his word so far, (going back several years now - thinking back to before his 'modest proposal') and now, in his role as FinMin, finds himself up against monumental forces. My personal hopes are that this modern day hero (not to mention the many others fighting alongside him) succeeds in chopping Medusa's head from her body. There is too much avarice, hypocrisy and deceit among men. This is Medusa's head and it governs the world's "institutions" in this day and age. Democracy is the true enemy today. Not 'terrorism'
