Update:

27 people have been killed an Israeli strike on a UN school in the Gaza Strip, according to local medics cited by AFP.

The blast hit a school west of the Jabalia refugee camp, a regular target of Israeli attacks.

The health ministry said the school had been housing displaced Palestinians fleeing violence and bombardment in other parts of Gaza.

The government's media office reported on Thursday that at least 14,854 people to have been killed in Gaza since 7 October.

It said 6,150 children and 4,000 women were among the dead, while a further 36,000 people wounded.

The health ministry previously warned it could no longer give exact tolls as Israel's ground invasion and closure of access to several areas in the Gaza Strip had prevented the recovery of bodies.

At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others injured after an Israeli strike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

According to Palestinian news agency, Wafa news, children were among those killed after the strike hit the Ayyash family home in Nuseirat

The number of Palestinians killed by Israel has crossed 14,000, with at least 5,840 children killed.

At least five Palestinians were killed and scores wounded when Israeli forces raided the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to Arabic media.

The incursion involved bombing a home with a drone strike and obstructing ambulances as they tried to reach Thabet Thabet hospital.

On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers arrested one wounded person from hospital emergency room.

Israeli forces attacked the city with bulldozers, razing roads, destroying infrastructure and private property, according to Palestinian new agency, Wafa news.

Update:

The Palestinian health ministry said at least 13,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched its assault on the besieged enclave.

The ministry said the death toll includes 5,600 children and 3,550 women.

It added that at least 6,500 people are still reported missing, with the vast majority of them being women and children.

Update:

Air strike on UN school leaves scores dead.  Meanwhile, hundreds of patients have been forced out of al-Shifa Hospital on beds and in wheelchairs.

The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 12,300 people, according to a statement released by the government's media office in Gaza. The dead include more than 5,000 children and 3,300 women. In addition, 30,000 people have been injured.

The Palestinian health ministry, meanwhile, has said that dozens of bodies currently litter the streets of the northern Gaza Strip and that it is impossible to count them because the Israeli army has been targeting ambulances and medical workers trying to approach them.

An Israeli strike on a building in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza on Saturday has killed 32 people from the same family, a health ministry official told AFP.

The health ministry released a list of 32 members of the Abu Habal family who were killed in the attack. Nineteen of them were children.

That means that more than 80 people were killed on Saturday in two separate Israeli strikes on Jabalia refugee camp.

"At least 50 people" were killed in an Israeli air strike on the UN-run Al-Fakhoora school, which was sheltering Palestinians, the official added.

Update:

Palestine's Health Ministry said Israeli forces had made a number of arrest during its raid of the al Shifa hospital in Gaza.

A spokesperson for the Health Ministry said the Israeli army arrested "two engineering health crews, the only electrical generator mechanic technician and the only technician for the hospital's oxygen station.

The Ministry's announcement come after eyewitnesses confirmed that Israel had withdrawn from the hospital but remained on the outskirts of the facility.

More than 100 Unrwa staff killed by Israel in Gaza.

Much of the focus  on day 39 of the Israel-Palestine war has been on Israeli attacks close to hospitals, most notably al-Shifa, from which people have been unable to flee and outside which dead bodies lie uncollected.

It's important to note that more than half of these medical centres and facilities  have now been destroyed or no longer function. Those that survive, including al-Shifa, the enclave's largest hospital, and al-Quds, have stopped admitting new patients and are without oxygen, the most basic medicine,  and power.

Up to 15,000 people inside Gaza's largest hospital face slow death, doctors warn.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, issued a warning after making contact with health professionals at the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.

"The situation is dire and perilous," Ghebreyesus said in a post to social media, noting that it has been three days since the hospital had electricity or water.

"The constant gunfire and bombings in the area have exacerbated the already critical circumstances. Tragically, the number of patient fatalities has increased significantly. Regrettably, the hospital is not functioning as a hospital anymore," he continued.

"The world cannot stand silent while hospitals, which should be safe havens, are transformed into scenes of death, devastation, and despair. Ceasefire. NOW."

The United Nations agency Unrwa announced on Sunday that 101 of their staff have been killed by Israel in Gaza.

According to the organisation, around one third of those killed were killed in southern and middern areas of the Gaza Strip, which was declared safe.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has managed to restore communication with health professionals at the Al-Shifa hospital in northern Gaza, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Sunday.

"Regrettably, the hospital is not functioning as a hospital anymore," he added in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

WHO lost communication on Saturday and the health ministry in Gaza said that operations at Al Shifa hospital complex, the largest in the Palestinian enclave, were suspended after it ran out of fuel.

Five out of 39 premature babies have now died at al-Shifa Hospital due to Israel cutting off all resources in the Gaza strip, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

The neonatal intensive care unit stopped working on 11 November due to a lack of electricity, the facility’s director said.

The remaining babies in the neonatal intensive care unit are at risk of losing their lives as the hospital runs out of fuel.

The spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health also said that seven people in the intensive care unit have also died.

Israeli forces have destroyed more than 40,000 housing units in the Gaza Strip, according to local officials. Meanwhile, Israeli bombardments have damaged at least 50 percent of housing units across the besieged strip, officials said.

Update:

Around half a million Palestinian children have been affected by Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement.

The estimated figure includes those who have been killed, injured, or whose family homes have been damaged or destroyed.

The Geneva-based human rights organisation reported that 6,100 children have been killed or reported missing under the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israel’s intense air and artillery attacks on the Strip, stating that chances for their survival diminishes with each passing day.

More than 15,500 children have been injured, the group reported, with dozens of them in critical condition.

Other children have suffered limb amputations, while hundreds more have suffered severe burns to their bodies, the group said.

Up to 15,000 people inside Gaza's Al Shifa hospital face slow death, doctors warn.

Update:

All bakeries in the north of Gaza have now closed due to “lack of fuel, water and wheat flour,” said the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Access to bread in the south of Gaza has also become desperate. The only operating mill in Gaza remains unable to grind wheat due to a lack of electricity and fuel.

Eleven bakeries have been hit and destroyed since 7 October. Only one of the bakeries contracted by the World Food Programme (WFP), along with eight other bakeries in the south, intermittently provides bread to shelters, depending on the availability of flour and fuel.

People queue for long hours in bakeries, where they are exposed to airstrikes, added OCHA.

Update:

Israel's military is carrying out "intense bombings" near a number of hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.

“For more than an hour, intense bombings have been taking place around hospitals,” Salama Maarouf, head of the government’s media office in Gaza, told reporters.

According to the Wafa news agency, Israeli bombardment on Sunday evening had killed and injured scores of Palestinians in the vicinity of Gaza City.

The Palestinians communications and information ministry confirmed that Israel had cut all internet and communications for the third time since the war began.

Update:

At least seven Palestinians were killed and many others were wounded from an Israeli air strike on a house in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to Wafa news agency.

Israel has repeatedly bombarded the camp - home to over 100,000 people - in recent days.

The Palestinian health ministry said earlier today that 9,572 had been killed by Israeli bombardment in Gaza, and over 26,000 injured. More than 1,600 others were unaccounted for, and feared dead under the rubble.

Update:

Israeli fighter jets targeted three hospitals in Gaza on Friday within the space of a few hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.

Bombs were dropped in the courtyards of the Indonesian hospital, the al-Quds hospital, and al-Shifa hospital, Gaza's biggest medical facility.

At least 15 people were killed in the Shifa shelling, according to Al Jazeera.

Dozens of others have been wounded, including people injured during previous attacks.

One of the bombs hit a convoy carrying patients that departed from Shifa and was en route to southern Gaza for further treatment.

Update:

Israeli fighter jets killed at least seven people in air strikes targeting a cemetery in the Gaza Strip on Friday morning.

According to local media, a group of people working at the cemetery in Beit Lahia are among those killed in the bombing.

WikiLeaks reveals that literally every router in America has been compromised

The latest Wikileaks Vault7 release reveals details of the CIA’s alleged Cherry Blossom project, a scheme that uses wireless devices to access users’ internet activity. globinfo freexchange As cyber security expert John McAfee told to RT and Natasha Sweatte: Virtually, every router that's in use in the American home are accessible to hackers, to the CIA, that they can take over the control of the router, they can monitor all of the traffic, and worse, they can download malware into any device that is connected to that router. I personally, never connect to any Wi-Fi system, I use the LTE on my phone. That's the only way that I can be secure because every router in America has been compromised. We've been warning about it for years, nobody pays attention until something like WikiLeaks comes up and says 'look, this is what's happening'. And it is devastating in terms of the impact on American privacy because once the router...

Confirmed: Alex Jones' popularity rises after Infowars banning from social media

globinfo freexchange We wouldn't expect to be confirmed so fast on this. A few days ago in the article IT and social media supergiants have just made Alex Jones a hero in the eyes of the ultra-conservative audience , we wrote that Alex Jones' wet dream has just become reality thanks to the combined move by Facebook, Apple, YouTube and Spotify to ban Infowars. These private IT and social media companies couldn't give a better gift to him right now. At a time where Infowars was going through a saturated period according to the best scenario, the corporate giants actually saved it with that stupid(?) strategy. Suddenly, a corporate branch of the liberal establishment gave real value to Alex Jones' awful performance, pretending to be the 'anti-establishment' hero - just like Donald Trump - and made him a real hero in the eyes of the ultra-conservative audience that has been brainwashed by his absurd conspiracy theories. Only a couple of days later...

Stephen Hawking confirms: The problem is Capitalism, not robots!

globinfo freexchange According to world famous physicist Stephen Hawking, the rising use of automated machines may mean the end of human rights – not just jobs. But he’s not talking about robots with artificial intelligence taking over the world, he’s talking about the current capitalist political system and its major players. On Reddit, Hawking said that the economic gap between the rich and the poor will continue to grow as more jobs are automated by machines, and the owners of said machines hoard them to create more wealth for themselves. The insatiable thirst for capitalist accumulation bestowed upon humans by years of lies and terrible economic policy has affected technology in such a way that one of its major goals has become to replace human jobs. If we do not take this warning seriously, we may face unfathomable corporate domination. If we let the same people who buy and sell our political system and resources maintain control of automated technology, the...

CIA had an agent at a newspaper in every world capital at least since 1977

Joel Whitney is a co-founder of the magazine Guernica, a magazine of global arts and politics, and has written for many publications, including the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. His book Finks: How the C.I.A. Tricked the World's Best Writers describes how the CIA contributed funds to numerous respected magazines during the Cold War, including the Paris Review, to subtly promote anti-communist views. In their conversation, Whitney tells Robert Scheer about the ties the CIA’s Congress for Cultural Freedom had with literary magazines. He talks about the CIA's attempt during the Cold War to have at least one agent in every major news organization in order to get stories killed if they were too critical or get them to run if they were favorable to the agency. And they discuss the overstatement of the immediate risks and dangers of communist regimes during the Cold War, which, initially, led many people to support the Vietnam War. globinfo freexchange...

How normal human behavior became a false mental disorder epidemic

globinfo freexchange In the early nineties, an epidemic of mental disorder was sweeping America and Britain. It had been uncovered by a new system for identifying disorders. Psychiatry had been attacked for relying on the personal and fallible judgement of psychiatrists. But instead, a new objective method based on checklists had been invented. These listed only the objective symptoms, and deliberately did not enquire into why the individuals felt an anxiety. In the late 80s, nationwide surveys had revealed an incredible picture: more than 50% of Americans suffered from mental disorders. But at the very same, the drug companies had announced that they had created a new type of drug, called an SSRI, which they claimed, targeted the circuits inside the brain that were causing these malfunctions. The SSRIs were marketed under names like "Prozac". What they did was alter the amounts of serotonin that flowed across the circuit connections within the brain, and they...

Confirmed: US imperialists wanted to drag Russia into a war with Ukraine since at least 2019

globinfo freexchange   As we wrote in our previous article, after almost eight years, the US imperialists and the NATO criminals got what they wanted. They finally managed to drag Russia into a war with Ukraine.     We now have indisputable evidence for that, through a document by the top US think tank, RAND Corporation. In the preface of a 2019 report under the title Extending Russia, Competing from Advantageous Ground we read: [emphasis added]                            The purpose of the project was to examine a range of possible means to extend Russia. By this, we mean nonviolent measures that could stress Russia’s military or economy or the regime’s political standing at home and abroad. The steps we posit would not have either defense or deterrence as their prime purpose, although they might contribute to both. Rather, these steps ar...
