Here we go again: neoliberal machine prepares ground to blame the Greens for a potential Biden defeat in November

globinfo freexchange

It seems that the neoliberal machine creates the suitable climate in order to put the blame on the usual scapegoats in case Joe Biden loses November's election.

Politico's recent article leaves little doubt. Check out the title:

Jill Stein cost Hillary dearly in 2016. Democrats are still writing off her successor.

And the first paragraphs confirm the case:

Jill Stein still haunts Hillary Clinton’s campaign team. “Oh woof. I can’t bear to talk about that,” said former communications director Jennifer Palmieri. For good reason: Had voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin cast their ballots for Clinton rather than the Green Party’s Stein, Clinton would be president.

Now, with the Green Party set to elevate its presumptive nominee — Howie Hawkins, a longtime labor activist keen on attracting disillusioned Bernie Sanders voters and calling for a “#DemExit” — many Democrats are unfazed. Not to worry, they say: Trump will be a sufficiently mobilizing force for Democrats this time around.

“I think there’s less of a concern than there was in 2016,” said Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ longtime aide who is also heading a Super PAC dedicated to mobilizing Sanders voters for Biden. “Even those of us who thought Trump could win thought Hillary Clinton would win, and I think that gave people a license to go vote for third-party candidates. But that’s not the case now. We know Trump can win.”

From the first paragraph, the article builds the narrative: "Had voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin cast their ballots for Clinton rather than the Green Party's Stein, Clinton would be president." Meaning that, current Green party's leadership, but also voters themselves, will be considered responsible if they vote Green, in case Biden loses the election.

It's the same narrative that has been manufactured for the purpose of blaming progressive voters for choosing not to compromise with the corrupted Democratic party.

It's also impressive that the vindictive neoliberal establishment won't give up from blaming anyone who considers responsible for its power loss, like Jill Stein. Obviously, she has been blacklisted by the ruthless neoliberal centrists forever.

Recall that in 2017, The Intercept published a podcast under the title The woman Democrats love to hate. It turns out that the title was prophetic: corporate Democrats will hate Jill Stein forever.

Politico's article also reveals the arrogance in the minds of the corporate Democrats. The fact that they believe that "Trump will be a sufficiently mobilizing force for Democrats this time around", so we should "not worry", tells you everything you need to know. They take progressive voters for granted. They believe they don't have to fight for anything, (like Medicare for All for example), because "Trump Scare" will be enough to persuade voters to vote for Biden! This is the typical neoliberal lesser-of-two-evils thinking of zero-substance politics. Just only to restore and preserve the neoliberal agenda in favor of the corporate America.

Note also Weaver's phraseology (how did Sanders let these people destroy his campaign from inside, by the way?) He says "... I think that gave people a license to go vote for third-party candidates". As if people are obliged to vote for the corporate Democrats and they have to take some kind of "license" to vote for a third party!

Someone has to tell these out-of-touch, full of arrogance Democrats, that voters don't belong to anyone. And that they have to earn the voters. They have to try hard to earn their vote, not take it for granted!

And it's impressive that even the neoliberal machine itself, through this article, alerts corporate Democrats not to underestimate the danger of significant leakage of progressive voters towards the Greens. It's clear in the following paragraph:

Democrats could come to regret their lack of concern. In an interview this week, Hawkins said, “We’ve got Bernie Sanders refugees coming in bursts ever since Super Tuesday.”

And further down, in another paragraph, you can see clearly that the neoliberal machine prepares ground to put Greens' new leader into the Russiagate basket, as they did with Jill Stein:

One Hawkins aide said Stein has “zero involvement in the campaign.” Even after criticism of Stein for dining with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2015 and evidence that Russians ran a Facebook ad promoting her candidacy, Hawkins occasionally appears on the Kremlin-backed network RT.

We saw lately an attempt for a sort of Russiagate revival, through this "Afghan Bounty scandal", which the liberal corporate media rushed to propagate intensively.

The first time, the neoliberal machine was unprepared to build an effective blame game against those who "dared" not to vote for Hillary Clinton, due to Trump's shocking victory. This time, it wants to make sure that voters will be "politically bullied" efficiently, in order to vote massively for Biden.

Yet, as we wrote recently, things won't be that easy this time for the neoliberal establishment.

Protests across the US, mostly by young people, have shown that there is a whole powerful movement now that seeks real change and it's not willing to compromise this time. Progressives are determined to abandon the corrupted Democratic party and push for a third grassroots independent party. Some of them think the Greens as the only alternative for now, but to vote someone like Biden is out of question, even if that means four more years of Trump.

And even if Biden wins in November, things will never be the same inside his party, as Bernie's political revolution is far from over. The progressive army is growing stronger and Biden will have a tough time to deal with the Leftist pressure inside the Democratic party. Maintaining the neoliberal agenda won't be a walk in the park on a sunny day.

Capitalism & Genocide - Yanis Varoufakis Speech at the Gaza Tribunal, 23rd October 2025, Istanbul

Yanis Varoufakis   On 23rd October, Yanis Varoufakis testified in front of the Jury of Conscience in the context of the Gaza Tribunal. His speech focused on the economic forces underpinning the genocide of the Palestinian people. In particular, he spoke on the manner in which capitalist dynamics have historically fuelled the white settler colonial project and, more recently, how the accumulation of a new form of capital - which he calls cloud capital - has accelerated, deepened and amplified the economic forces powering and propelling the machinery of genocide.

WikiLeaks reveals that literally every router in America has been compromised

The latest Wikileaks Vault7 release reveals details of the CIA’s alleged Cherry Blossom project, a scheme that uses wireless devices to access users’ internet activity. globinfo freexchange As cyber security expert John McAfee told to RT and Natasha Sweatte: Virtually, every router that's in use in the American home are accessible to hackers, to the CIA, that they can take over the control of the router, they can monitor all of the traffic, and worse, they can download malware into any device that is connected to that router. I personally, never connect to any Wi-Fi system, I use the LTE on my phone. That's the only way that I can be secure because every router in America has been compromised. We've been warning about it for years, nobody pays attention until something like WikiLeaks comes up and says 'look, this is what's happening'. And it is devastating in terms of the impact on American privacy because once the router...

Confirmed: US imperialists wanted to drag Russia into a war with Ukraine since at least 2019

globinfo freexchange   As we wrote in our previous article, after almost eight years, the US imperialists and the NATO criminals got what they wanted. They finally managed to drag Russia into a war with Ukraine.     We now have indisputable evidence for that, through a document by the top US think tank, RAND Corporation. In the preface of a 2019 report under the title Extending Russia, Competing from Advantageous Ground we read: [emphasis added]                            The purpose of the project was to examine a range of possible means to extend Russia. By this, we mean nonviolent measures that could stress Russia’s military or economy or the regime’s political standing at home and abroad. The steps we posit would not have either defense or deterrence as their prime purpose, although they might contribute to both. Rather, these steps ar...

Already happens: Capitalism destroys human labor force and goes to the next phase

by system failure Connecting the dots one can discover the most nightmarish scenarios. Destructive capitalism's next phase is the total substitution of the human labor force with robotic machines, or in other words, the hyper-automatization. There is a process taking place right now, and no one (or nearly no one) knows what would happen after its completion. The true picture behind unemployment From a latest article in PressTV: “ Did you know that there are nearly 102 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now? And 20 percent of all families in the United States do not have a single member that is employed. So how in the world can the government claim that the unemployment rate has “dropped” to '6.3 percent'?” “ Well, it all comes down to how you define who is 'unemployed'. For example, last month the government moved another 988,000 Americans into the 'not in the labor force' category.” http://www.presstv.ir/detail...

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events. The following is a brief response to Ellsberg’s main points from someone who lives in Nicaragua and has observed the situation directly and intimately: https://grayzoneproject.com/2018/08/15/a-res...
