American air defence systems seem to be struggling against Iranian attacks. Footage has been released showing an Iranian ballistic missiles bypassing multiple Patriot air defence missiles in Jordan, while new satellite pictures showed that Iran scored a direct hit on a similar system in Iraq.
According to a statement carried by Iran's state broadcaster IRIB, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its aerospace forces launched several ballistic missiles at the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, where U.S. forces are stationed. The IRGC claimed the strikes destroyed a command-and-control centre and hangars housing MQ-9 drones at the base. In another statement, the IRGC said it also fired ballistic missiles at the U.S. military's Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The force claimed it destroyed a fighter aircraft maintenance and repair centre, along with a command-and-control centre at the base.
