Νέες αοριστίες, αντιφάσεις αλλά και αλήθειες από τον πρωθυπουργό Αντώνη Σαμαρά κατά την κοινή συνέντευξη τύπου με τον πρόεδρο της Ευρωπαϊκής επιτροπής Μπαρόζο χθες (08/01/2014), στα πλαίσια ανάληψης της προεδρίας της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης από την Ελλάδα.

Η ερώτηση του δημοσιογράφου είναι η εξής:

“Πολλοί μέσα στην Ευρώπη μιλούν με πολύ θετικά λόγια τόσο για την ανάληψη της Ελληνικής Προεδρίας όσο και για την αντιμετώπιση της οικονομικής κρίσης από τη χώρα μας. Όμως υπάρχουν και αυτοί που στέκονται είτε με επιφύλαξη είτε μιλούν και επικριτικά για τη Χώρα μας. Τι απαντάτε σε αυτούς, κυρίως που στέκονται επικριτικά απέναντι στην Ελλάδα;”

Και ο Έλληνας πρωθυπουργός απαντάει ως εξής:

“Ο καθένας ασφαλώς έχει το δικαίωμα και το σέβομαι, της γνώμης του. Νομίζω όμως ότι ο καλύτερος για ν’ απαντήσει είναι εκείνος ο οποίος παρακολουθεί το πιο αντικειμενικό στοιχείο που υπάρχει σήμερα και αυτό το στοιχείο είναι οι αριθμοί, ποιοι είναι οι αριθμοί. Έχουμε μια χρονιά πριν από το Πρόγραμμα, μας περίμεναν για του χρόνου, θα έχουμε από φέτος, πρωτογενές πλεόνασμα.

Και θέλω ιδιαίτερα στους ξένους συναδέλφους, τους δικούς σας δημοσιογράφους που μας κάνουν τη χαρά και την τιμή να βρίσκονται σήμερα στην Αθήνα, να τους πω ότι αυτό για μια χώρα η οποία έχει χάσει τα τελευταία τρία χρόνια το 25% του ακαθάριστου εγχώριου προϊόντος της, για μια χώρα στην οποίαν αν προσθέσετε σε αυτό το 25% φόρους και πληθωρισμό για το μέσο πολίτη της χώρας είναι σα να έχει χάσει το 38% με 40% του εισοδήματός του, του διαθέσιμου εισοδήματός του.

Όταν αυτή η χώρα κατορθώνει να έχει ένα χρόνο πριν από το πρόγραμμα πρωτογενές πλεόνασμα, καταλαβαίνετε ότι αυτός ο αριθμός νομίζω δίνει την καλύτερη απάντηση, αλλά να σας πω επίσης ότι είχαμε την ταχύτερη δημοσιονομική προσαρμογή που έχει ποτέ γίνει στον κόσμο.”

Είναι εκπληκτικό ότι, ο Σαμαράς υποστηρίζει στην ουσία ότι οι αριθμοί είναι η καλύτερη απάντηση απέναντι σ'αυτούς που αμφιβάλουν για την επιτυχία της Ελλάδας να αντιμετωπίσει την οικονομική κρίση και για να το υποστηρίξει αυτό παραθέτει το μοναδικό και χιλιοπαιγμένο επιχείρημα του πρωτογενούς πλεονάσματος χωρίς να αναφέρει κανέναν αριθμό.

Αντίθετα, στη συνέχεια, αναφέρει συγκεκριμένους αριθμούς που αποδεικνύουν, όχι μόνο την καταστροφή που υπέστη η Ελληνική οικονομία, αλλά και η πλειοψηφία των Ελλήνων πολιτών! (“... μια χώρα η οποία έχει χάσει τα τελευταία τρία χρόνια το 25% του ακαθάριστου εγχώριου προϊόντος της, για μια χώρα στην οποίαν αν προσθέσετε σε αυτό το 25% φόρους και πληθωρισμό για το μέσο πολίτη της χώρας είναι σα να έχει χάσει το 38% με 40% του εισοδήματός του, του διαθέσιμου εισοδήματός του.”)

Και επιμένει στη συνέχεια να αναφέρεται στο περίφημο “πρωτογενές πλεόνασμα” λέγοντας πως “... αυτός ο αριθμός νομίζω δίνει την καλύτερη απάντηση ...”, όπου και πάλι δεν υπάρχει πουθενά κανένας αριθμός!

Παρακάτω, ο πρωθυπουργός αναφέρεται σε έναν ακόμα εφιαλτικό αριθμό, ποσοστό για την ακρίβεια. Πρόκειται για την ανεργία των νέων:
“Γιατί σήμερα, όπως ξέρετε, η Ελλάδα κατέχει ρεκόρ στην ανεργία ιδιαίτερα των νέων, που μόλις τώρα τελευταία έπεσε κάτω από το 60%.”
Το ότι η ανεργία έπεσε κάτω από το τρομακτικό ποσοστό του 60%, “μόλις τώρα τελευταία”, αν ισχύει βέβαια κάτι τέτοιο και δεν πρόκειται για άλλο ένα “μαγείρεμα” τύπου “πρωτογενούς πλεονάσματος”, είναι κάτι που πρέπει άραγε να το εκλάβουμε ως επιτυχία;

Έτσι, παρά την “δημοσιογραφική” ερώτηση-πάσα στον πρωθυπουργό προκειμένου να εκθειάσει τις επιτυχίες της κυβέρνησης, αυτός κατάφερε να βάλει ένα μεγαλειώδες αυτογκόλ λέγοντας την αλήθεια.

Το κυβερνητικό μόρφωμα που λέγεται ΔΤ, έπαιξε σήμερα (09/01/14), στο κεντρικό δελτίο ειδήσεων, όπως ήταν φυσικό και όπως θα περίμενε κανείς, μόνο τα αποσπάσματα εκείνα όπου ο πρωθυπουργός μιλάει για το πρωτογενές πλεόνασμα και για την πτώση στα spreads, σε μια προσπάθεια “ρετουσαρίσματος” των πρωθυπουργικών δηλώσεων με τη βοήθεια μιας χονδροειδούς κοπτοραπτικής, όπως συνηθίζουν να κάνουν οι σύμβουλοι του πρωθυπουργού και τα διάφορα φιλοκυβερνητικά φερέφωνα, επιβεβαιώνοντας έναν βασικό λόγο για τον οποίο θέλησαν να “τελειώσουν” την ΕΡΤ μια ώρα αρχύτερα. Όμως, η αγωνία τους και οι απέλπιδες προσπάθειές τους να κρύψουν την πραγματική εικόνα, είναι πια κραυγαλέες.

Πράγματι λοιπόν, να που είπε και πάλι την αλήθεια ο κύριος πρωθυπουργός. Οι αριθμοί είναι αμείλικτοι και όντως λένε την αλήθεια, αλλά, με βάση τα δικά του πάντα λόγια, δεν αποδεικνύουν καμία επιτυχία για την Ελλάδα, αλλά αντίθετα, την καταστροφή της Ελληνικής κοινωνίας και οικονομίας!

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on.
