Λαβρόφ: «Κλειδί» για την ασφάλεια στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο η ανεξάρτητη Κύπρος

Την ανάγκη επίτευξης συνολικής, δίκαιης, σταθερής και βιώσιμης λύσης του Κυπριακού, τονίζει ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών της Ρωσικής Ομοσπονδίας, Σεργκέι Λαβρόφ.

Σε συνέντευξη στην εφημερίδα "Η ΣΗΜΕΡΙΝΗ", ο Σ. Λαβρόφ διαβεβαιώνει ότι παραμένει αναλλοίωτη η θέση αρχής της Ρωσίας στο Κυπριακό, τονίζοντας ότι στόχος είναι η αποκατάσταση της Κύπρου, υπό τη μορφή ενός ανεξάρτητου, κυρίαρχου και εδαφικά ακέραιου και ενωμένου κράτους, που θα ανταποκρίνεται στα συμφέροντα των ιδίων των Κυπρίων.

Μια τέτοια εξέλιξη, προσθέτει, «θα αποτελέσει το "κλειδί" για τη διασφάλιση της ειρήνης και της ασφάλειας στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο».

Ο Σ. Λαβρόφ χαρακτηρίζει απαράδεκτες τις προσπάθειες έξωθεν επιβολής έτοιμων αποφάσεων και τεχνητών χρονοδιαγραμμάτων και υποδεικνύει ότι το Συμβούλιο Ασφαλείας των Ηνωμένων Εθνών αποτελεί τη μόνη οδό για την εξεύρεση ενός συστήματος ασφάλειας στην Κύπρο.

Τονίζει, επίσης, ότι οι διεθνείς πτυχές του Κυπριακού, πρέπει να συζητηθούν στο πλαίσιο μιας Διεθνούς Διάσκεψης με τη συμμετοχή και των πέντε μονίμων μελών του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας.

Ο Ρώσος υπουργός επισημαίνει ότι η υποστήριξη αυτής της ιδέας από τον πρόεδρο Αναστασιάδη, κατά την ομιλία του στη Γενική Συνέλευση των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, αλλά και στην τελευταία επίσκεψή του στη Μόσχα, «θα υποβοηθήσει την προσπάθεια για διαμόρφωση ενός νέου συστήματος ασφάλειας, το οποίο θα ανταποκρίνεται στις σύγχρονες πραγματικότητες και στις ανάγκες της Κύπρου».
