The 'metamorphosis' of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez already started ...

Progressives choose an increasingly defensive stance against the establishment pressure


Last month, right after Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez' unprecedented victory, we immediately identified typical operations by the establishment machine to make Bernie's progressives comply with the US political status quo.

It seems that the progressives are choosing an increasingly defensive stance against the establishment pressure, obviously because they fear that the smearing campaigns against them will be multiplied towards 2020 presidential election.

Their further 'slippery' towards the establishment lines was really deafening, if we look at two tweets by Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, concerning John McCain:





Yet, hundreds of angry responses against these tweets were equally deafening. People openly expressed their rage for the fact that a warmonger was praised in such a manner that actually resembles the establishment pro-McCain 'litanies'.

Whitney Kimball even pointed, through an article, the flood of hundreds of angry responses against Cortez' tweet. It couldn't go unnoticed.

It seems that both Sanders and Cortez didn't even bother to check the reactions against another tweet by a key element of the military-industrial complex. In a really unusual case, Lockheed Martin - a private arms company, has openly chosen to tweet a heartfelt eulogy to John McCain. The flood of responses was equally brutal by angry tweeter users.


It's not safe to draw conclusions from the behavior of the people in social media. Yet, this is a case where all these responses leave little doubt. People are sick and tired of the establishment narratives concerning various matters. So, why the most famous progressives choose to adopt these narratives? Why do they keep retreating to what the establishment dictates?

The whole story shows that the strategy of 'compromise with the establishment' is not the right way. The progressives will end up doing what the establishment wants and will be 'swallowed' by the corporate Democrats. It seems that the process of 'metamorphosis' of the young Cortez has already started.

It is clear that the progressives have taken the wrong path. Unless they choose to confront directly and defy openly the establishment, they will soon lose the trust and the support of the people.

Bernie should have known already. He saw the response of the audience when he chosen to endorse Hillary Clinton:

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique.
