ΣΥΡΙΖΑ: Take no prisoners

Ευχάριστα μουδιασμένο είναι ένα μεγάλο τμήμα της ελληνικής αριστεράς απέναντι στη νέα κυβέρνηση ΣΥΡΙΖΑ. Ακολουθώντας τη γνωστή βαλκανική ρήση «δεν πειράζουμε κάτι που δουλεύει» και σεβόμενοι το γεγονός ότι δεν έχουν περάσει ούτε 48 ώρες από τις εκλογές, αρκετοί υποστηρίζουν ότι δεν πρέπει να ασκείται καμία κριτική στη νέα κυβέρνηση.

Κι όμως αυτή ακριβώς είναι η στιγμή που απαιτείται, όσο ποτέ, η καλοπροαίρετη, συντροφική πίεση προς πιο ριζοσπαστικές θέσεις. Ο πρώτος που το κατάλαβε ήταν ο νομπελίστας οικονομολόγος Πολ Κρούγκμαν, όταν έγραψε στους New York Times ότι «αν υπάρχει κάτι που μπορούμε να καταλογίσουμε στον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ είναι ότι δεν είναι αρκετά ριζοσπαστικός». Δεν ήταν αιχμή – ήταν παρότρυνση να εκμεταλλευτούμε το πρωτοφανές momentum για την προώθηση των ελληνικών θέσεων.

Το κλίμα στις διεθνείς αγορές απέδειξε πως όχι μόνο δεν θα μας πέσει ο ουρανός στο κεφάλι αλλά ότι όλοι (πλην του Βερολίνου) κατανοούν πως το ελληνικό χρέος δεν είναι βιώσιμο και θα πρέπει να ληφθούν δραστικά μέτρα. Ακόμη και συντηρητικοί οικονομολόγοι, όπως ο Ντάνι Ρόντρικ, εύχονται καλή επιτυχία στη νέα κυβέρνηση κατανοώντας ότι η προηγούμενη πολιτική ήταν όχι μόνο καταστροφική αλλά και ηλίθια.

Όσο για την πτώση του χρηματιστηρίου στην Ελλάδα, αρκεί να έχει κανείς κατά νου δυο στοιχεία για να καταλάβει ότι πρέπει να γιορτάζουμε και όχι να ανησυχούμε: ότι οι ημέρες δόξας του Χ.Α ήταν ημέρες παρακμής, ρεμούλας και γιγάντωσης του χρέους και ότι σήμερα το μοναδικό χρηματιστήριο που γνωρίζει εκρηκτικούς ρυθμούς ανάπτυξης στη Μεσόγειο είναι αυτό στη χούντα της Αιγύπτου. Ας μην επιτρέψουμε λοιπόν στους «αλογομούρηδες» της ελληνικής χρηματαγοράς να παρουσιάζονται σαν δείκτης οικονομικής ευημερίας και πολιτικής σταθερότητας.

Πως αντιδρά ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ σε αυτή την τόσο ευνοϊκή συγκυρία; Σε κάποια ζητήματα ιδιαίτερα θετικά και σε κάποια άλλα αμήχανα ή και ανησυχητικά.

Καταρχήν σε κοινωνικό επίπεδο η πρώτη κυβέρνηση της αριστεράς υπόσχεται να αποτελέσει μια όαση δημοκρατίας και πολιτισμού σε σχέση με τα προηγούμενα χρόνια. Ύστερα από μια πενταετία που η χώρα κατηγορούνταν σχεδόν από το σύνολο των διεθνών οργανισμών για καταπάτηση στοιχειωδών δημοκρατικών ελευθεριών, βλέπουμε σε θέσεις κλειδιά ανθρώπους που μπορούν να φέρουν πραγματική αλλαγή. Παρά το γεγονός ότι ο Α.Τσιπρας παραλίγο να αποξενωθεί από το πιο προοδευτικό τμήμα της κοινωνίας, με την τελευταία Ιντερνετική του συνέντευξη, στη συνέχεια δημιούργησε το πιο ελπιδοφόρο υπουργικό σχήμα – πάντα σε ό,τι αφορά τα κοινωνικά ζητήματα.

Το ρεπορτάζ λέει επίσης ότι οργανώσεις ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων αλλά ακόμη και διεθνείς οργανισμοί εμφανίζονται ενθουσιασμένοι από τις επιλογές προσώπων. Η μοναδική ίσως απόφαση σε αυτή την κατηγορία, που προκάλεσε εύλογα ερωτήματα, ήταν η τοποθέτηση της Ζωής Κωνσταντοπούλου ως προέδρου της Βουλής. Ένας από τους πιο ικανούς και μαχητικούς πολιτικούς που έχουν περάσει από το ελληνικό κοινοβούλιο θα έπρεπε να βρίσκεται σε πιο μάχιμη θέση.

Η προτροπή του Κρούγκμαν όμως – ο οποίος μόνο σαν ριζοσπάστης δεν είναι – δεν αφορούσε τα κοινωνικά ζητήματα αλλά τη μάχη των μαχών – δηλαδή την οικονομία.

Η δήλωση του Γ.Βαρουφάκη στο BBC ότι δεν σκοπεύει να κουρέψει κατά 50% το χρέος – όπως είχε δηλώσει ο Τσίπρας στον Ν.Χατζηνικολάου – έχει εκληφθεί από αρκετούς ως η πρώτη παλινωδία και μάλιστα πριν ακόμη ορκιστεί το υπουργικό συμβούλιο. Ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ είχε κάνει ήδη αρκετές υποχωρήσεις στην προεκλογική περίοδο, διεκδικώντας έναν (ανύπαρκτο σε περιόδους κρίσης) μεσαίο χώρο.

Το οικονομικό επιτελείο είναι εξαιρετικά πιο συντηρητικό από την ομάδα που θα διαχειριστεί τα κοινωνικά ζητήματα ενώ θα έπρεπε να συμβαίνει ακριβώς το αντίθετο. Ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ δεν μπορεί να βρεθεί με πιο μετριοπαθή οικονομική ατζέντα σε σχέση με τους ΑΝ.ΕΛ. Ίσως μάλιστα να έχει να μάθει πολλά από τον «οικονομικό εθνικισμό» τους – όπως επίσης πρέπει να τσακίσει από την πρώτη στιγμή τον πραγματικό εθνικισμό τους.

Το αποτέλεσμα των εκλογών αποδεικνύει ότι οι Έλληνες ψηφοφόροι είναι έτοιμοι να δεχθούν ακόμη πιο ριζοσπαστικές θέσεις ενώ η αντίδραση των διεθνών αγορών αλλά και αρκετών Ευρωπαίων αξιωματούχων δείχνει ότι μας αντιμετωπίζουν σαν μετριοπαθείς διαπραγματευτές. Η μετριοπάθεια όμως δεν βοήθησε κανέναν. Αν μυριστούν φόβο θα μας κατασπαράξουν.

Ακόμη και όσοι διαφωνούν με τις πολιτικές ρήξης, που απαιτούν μεταξύ άλλων παύση πληρωμών, σύγκρουση ή έξοδο από την ευρωζώνη και άμεση αναδιανομή πλούτου, θα συμφωνήσουν ότι δεν πας σε μια διαπραγμάτευση με το προφίλ της μετριοπάθειας. Πηγαίνεις φωνάζοντας take no prisoners.

Έτσι άλλωστε θα σχηματίσεις και το μέτωπο, το οποίο θα καλέσεις να σε σώσει σε μερικούς μήνες, όταν το βαθύ κράτος και τα πολιτικά τζάκια θα βάλουν σε εφαρμογή την επιχείρηση ανατροπής σου.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique.
