BRICS: Νέο βήμα απεξάρτησης από το Δυτικό καταστροφικό μονοπώλιο

Η Βραζιλία, η Ρωσία, η Ινδία, η Κίνα και η Νότια Αφρική, γνωστές και ως BRICS, μετά από τρία χρόνια διεργασιών εγκαινίασαν τη νέα αναπτυξιακή τους τράπεζα τη New Development Bank (NDB). Πρόκειται για μια απάντηση των πέντε αναδυόμενων οικονομιών στο ΔΝΤ και την Παγκόσμια Τράπεζα, και ένα μήνυμα προς τη Δύση πως πλέον δεν εξαρτώνται από τα δικά της χρηματοπιστωτικά ιδρύματα.

Όπως γράφει η Deutsche Welle, χρειάστηκαν τρία χρόνια μέχρι να πάρει σάρκα και οστά η ιδέα για τη δημιουργία μιας αναπτυξιακής τράπεζας από τις χώρες BRICS, τις πέντε αναδυόμενες οικονομίες της Βραζιλίας, Ρωσίας, Ινδίας, Κίνας και Νότιας Αφρικής. Ίσως η καθυστέρηση στην υλοποίηση να οφείλεται στη διαφορετικότητα των χωρών αλλά και τα ποικίλα εθνικά τους συμφέροντα. Για αρκετό χρονικό διάστημα οι τέσσερις χώρες δεν ήθελαν να συμβάλει η Κίνα τα περισσότερα χρήματα στο αρχικό κεφάλαιο, ανησυχώντας μήπως η τράπεζα περιέλθει υπό τον έλεγχο του Πεκίνου.

Τελικά όμως η Κίνα έδωσε το μεγαλύτερο ποσό για το αρχικό κεφάλαιο, εξασφαλίζοντας ότι η έδρα της New Development Bank (NDB) θα είναι η Σαγκάη. Ως αντάλλαγμα ο πρόεδρος της τράπεζας ορίζεται εκ περιτροπής από όλες τις χώρες BRICS.

Τέλη Φεβρουαρίου διευθετήθηκαν και τα τελευταία ανοιχτά ζητήματα και η νέα αναπτυξιακή τράπεζα είναι έτοιμη να διαθέσει πιστώσεις. Υπάρχουν ωστόσο μερικά ερωτήματα.

Πολλοί διερωτώνται τι νόημα έχει μια νέα αναπτυξιακή τράπεζα όταν υπάρχουν ήδη άλλα αντίστοιχα χρηματοπιστωτικά ιδρύματα, όπως η Ασιατική Επενδυτική Τράπεζα Υποδομών (AIIB). Ο Ρολφ Λάνγκχαμερ από το Ινστιτούτο Παγκόσμιας Οικονομίας του Κιέλου δηλώνει σχετικά στην Deutsche Welle: «Υπάρχουν πλέον διάφοροι θεσμοί που έχουν τον ίδιο στόχο. Δεν αποκλείονται να προκύψουν προβλήματα συντονισμού».
