Μόλις 59 πύραυλοι Τόμαχοκ χρειάστηκαν ώστε η φιλελεύθερη Αμερική να αφήσει στο παρελθόν το μίσος της για τον «αγροίκο» Ντόναλντ Τραμπ και να τον εντάξει στον πάνθεον των μεγάλων πολιτικών που βομβαρδίζουν κυρίαρχα κράτη σε όλο τον κόσμο.

Χτες το βράδυ «ο Ντόναλντ Τραμπ έγινε πρόεδρος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών της Αμερικής, ήταν μια μεγάλη στιγμή» έλεγε ο δημοσιογράφος του CNN Φαρίντ Ζακάρια, ξεχνώντας τον ανοιχτό πόλεμο τον οποίο υποτίθεται ότι έχει ο σταθμός του με τον νέο πρόεδρο.

«Η στιγμή που κάποιος γίνεται πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ, είναι η στιγμή που χρησιμοποιεί την ισχύ των αμερικανικών ενόπλων δυνάμεων» συμπλήρωνε άλλος παρουσιαστής στο MSNBC.

Ο δημοσιογράφος του MSNBC Μπράιαν Ουίλιαμς δεν κατάφερε να κρύψει την μιλιταριστική του «στύση» και χαρακτήρισε «όμορφους» τους πυραύλους Τόμαχοκ, καθώς απογειώνονταν στο νυχτερινό ουρανό για να σκοτώσουν έξι ανθρώπους στο έδαφος της Συρίας. Ο ίδιος μάλιστα χρησιμοποίησε στίχους του Λέοναρντ Κοέν λέγοντας: «Με οδηγεί η ομορφιά των όπλων μας».

Κανένας από τους ισλαμοφάγους φιλελεύθερους ζεσουίδες, δεν φάνηκε να ενοχλείται από τις πληροφορίες ότι η επίθεση εναντίον του Άσαντ θα ενισχύσει τις δυνάμεις τζιχαντιστών που πρόσκεινται στην Αλ Κάιντα -δυνάμεις δηλαδή οι οποίες χρηματοδοτούνταν και εξοπλίζονταν άμεσα ή έμμεσα από τις ΗΠΑ, επί προεδρίας Ομπάμα.

Αυτό ήταν λοιπόν. Όσο φώναξε φώναξε η «άλλη» Αμερική, που ενοχλούνταν από τις άσεμνες εκφράσεις του Ντόναλντ Τραμπ για τις γυναίκες αλλά χειροκροτούσε τους βομβαρδισμούς από τον Ομπάμα και ονειρευόταν την Χίλαρι Κλίντον στον Λευκό Οίκο να διατάζει και αυτή με τη σειρά της την ολοκληρωτική καταστροφή πόλεων και χωρών.

Ας βομβαρδίζει ο πρόεδρος, ας εκτοξεύονται σε μια νύχτα οι μετοχές της Raytheon, που κατασκευάζει τους πυραύλους Τόμαχοκ, και ας μην είναι πολιτικά ορθός.

Παραδόξως, εκτός από το μικρό αλλά συνεπές αντιπολεμικό κίνημα των ΗΠΑ, που κατέβηκε στους δρόμους για να καταδικάσει τους βομβαρδισμούς στη Συρία, οι μόνοι που ενοχλήθηκαν από τους πυραύλους Τόμαχοκ ήταν οι σκληροπυρηνικοί οπαδοί του Τραμπ, που είχαν πιστέψει το παραμύθι του νέου αμερικανικού απομονωτισμού το οποίο συνοψιζόταν στην φράση «Πρώτα η Αμερική».

Μέσα σε λιγότερο από ένα μήνα ο Τραμπ έχασε σχεδόν όλες τις σημαντικές πολιτικές μάχες που τον διαφοροποιούσαν από το πολιτικό κατεστημένο (αρχικά με την ψηφοφορία για το Obamacare και τώρα με την κλιμάκωση της αντιπαράθεσης με τη Ρωσία). Το βαθύ κράτος των ΗΠΑ κατάφερε να του επιβάλλει τις θέσεις του στην εξωτερική πολιτική ενώ ο ίδιος θα εκπληρώσει το όνειρο των απανταχού φιλελεύθερων: να κυβερνήσει τη χώρα όπως θα διοικούσε μια επιχείρηση – δηλαδή χωρίς ούτε τις τυπικές ενοχλήσεις που προκαλεί η αστική δημοκρατία στον αδιαμεσολάβητο έλεγχο του κράτους από τις επιχειρήσεις.

Ο Τραμπ είναι ο τέλειος πρόεδρος για την αστική τάξη των ΗΠΑ. Και όσοι πίστεψαν ότι θα μπορούσαν να τον αντιμετωπίσουν συμμαχώντας με τους αιμοδιψείς Δημοκρατικούς, που αντικαθιστούν την ταξική σύγκρουση με τα identity politics, μπορούν τώρα να χαζεύουν τους «όμορφους» τόμαχοκ που εκτοξεύονται από πλοία που στάθμευαν στη ναυτική βάση της Σούδας στην Ελλάδα.
