Tory plan to privatise the NHS

Leaked phonecall reveals all

The Tory-run Government has done nothing but dig the NHS deeper and deeper into the ground over the course of the last seven years, and a recently leaked meeting between two conservative MP’s confirms the final nail in the coffin for the Nation’s beloved health service.

Budget cut upon budget cut has resulted in an almost unrecognizable National Health Service and, through no fault of the fantastic, dedicated Nurses and Doctors who work hundreds of unpaid hours just to keep the doors open, the NHS has been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. Staff across the country are under constant pressure to cope with both the increase of patients and the decrease of available beds, which has left them in an impossible predicament.

Back in 2015 the Conservatives were forced to admit that their pledge to secure the NHS’s budget was nothing more than a lie, and that funding had in fact been cut by a whopping 8% (A number which has increased even more since then). As a regular visitor to my local hospital (To collect medication), I’ve seen first-hand how these budget cuts have impacted the system and it makes me disgusted to see the neglect that the government has had on the issue.

A source close to one of the major conservative MP’s has confirmed that Conservatives are planning to increase privatisation to the point where the NHS is run as a private business. “It’s time to stop those that are undeserving from taking advantage of our country’s health services,” the MP said adamantly over a phone call to an advisor. He blames the “freeloaders” who are taking advantage of the system and claims that making it a private entity is the only way to resolve the issue:

We know there are people who have no intention of ever seeking gainful employment, and make plans to reap the benefits our country offers them for their entire lives. Our new changes will weed these people out and expose them for the parasites they are.

When asked about the innocents who may suffer inadvertently due to these new changes (children especially), he said; “Every war has casualties. It’s not our fault. They’re not what they used to be, and we need to put an end to the chaos. Privatising the NHS is our only option.

With the Red Cross declaring a humanitarian crisis here in Britain, it’s utterly shocking certain Conservative politicians think that it’s acceptable to blame the issues with the NHS on the general public, instead of admitting that the issues are down to their handling of the situation. The below graphic perfectly sums up how ridiculous the current regeime have let it get:

While it’s still early days for the 2017 election and there is plenty of time for things to change, current polls have shown Labour narrow the gap by two points. It’s unlikely that they will overcome the massive 46%-27% gap between them and the Tories, but every slight increase makes a coalition government more likely.

As I’m sure you are aware, Labour has a completely different viewpoint on the matter than the Conservatives do, and they’re making it one of their main campaign points. They’ve pledged to increase pay and cut tuition fees for trainee nurses, which is a massive step in the right direction and should hopefully see the NHS restored to its former glory.

Labour’s new guarantees for NHS staff will help keep services running at the standards which England’s patients expect.

Capitalism & Genocide - Yanis Varoufakis Speech at the Gaza Tribunal, 23rd October 2025, Istanbul

Yanis Varoufakis   On 23rd October, Yanis Varoufakis testified in front of the Jury of Conscience in the context of the Gaza Tribunal. His speech focused on the economic forces underpinning the genocide of the Palestinian people. In particular, he spoke on the manner in which capitalist dynamics have historically fuelled the white settler colonial project and, more recently, how the accumulation of a new form of capital - which he calls cloud capital - has accelerated, deepened and amplified the economic forces powering and propelling the machinery of genocide.

Munich Shock: Rubio’s Vision of a New Western Century & World Order

GVS Deep Dive   At the 2026 Munich Security Conference, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered one of the most consequential foreign policy speeches of the year. Framed as a call for Western renewal, his address went far beyond NATO reassurance — outlining a vision of sovereignty, industrial consolidation, and civilizational confidence that may signal the end of the post-Cold War global order.   Is this the beginning of a Second Cold War?   Is the West reorganizing around bloc competition?   Or are we witnessing the construction of a new world order?

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events. The following is a brief response to Ellsberg’s main points from someone who lives in Nicaragua and has observed the situation directly and intimately: https://grayzoneproject.com/2018/08/15/a-res...

Η θύελλα έρχεται, Grexit τώρα!

Five reasons a war with Iran will mark the final fall of US empire

globinfo freexchange   1. The nature of war has changed dramatically since the Iraq war, due to technological developments. A ground invasion, especially against Iran, would be catastrophic for the US empire with unpredictable consequences, even if the regime-change mission successfully completed.  2. The Iran allies in the region are still active, despite their losses. This is connected with the first reason in a way because armed groups dispersed in the Middle-East and affiliated with Iran, can lead to an asymmetric, out-of-control conflict to the point where US forces may suddenly find themselves trapped in a wider deadly warzone with no exit. The new, relatively cheap technology of drones and small/middle range missiles, is easily accessible to these groups. The Ansar Allah group in Yemen, already demonstrated their ability to sabotage US military operations. 3. Iran is not Iraq. Not only due to its size and the fact that we live now in a very different period, but also be...
