Η κυβέρνηση Τσίπρα ήθελε να πουλήσει όπλα και στα ΗΑΕ που βομβαρδίζουν την Υεμένη

Διεθνείς οργανώσεις ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων καλούν το Διεθνές Ποινικό Δικαστήριο να ερευνήσει καταγγελίες για εγκλήματα πολέμου που πραγματοποιούν στην Υεμένη, τα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα -μια ακόμη χώρα στην οποία η κυβέρνηση Τσίπρα επιχειρούσε να πουλήσει οπλισμό.

Όπως αναφέρει το γαλλικό πρακτορείο ο Αραβικός Οργανισμός Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων, κατηγορεί τα ΗΕΑ ότι «βομβαρδίζουν αδιακρίτως άμαχο πληθυσμό» – κατηγορία που όπως εξηγήσαμε συνιστά έγκλημα πολέμου όχι μόνο για τη χώρα που πραγματοποιεί τους βομβαρδισμούς αλλά και για χώρες που εξοπλίζουν τους δράστες των βομβαρδισμών.

Σύμφωνα με τον τομεάρχη Άμυνας της ΝΔ, Βασίλη Κικίλια, ο υπουργός Άμυνας είχε εισηγηθεί στην αρμόδια επιτροπή της Βουλής, τον Απρίλιο του 2015, την πώληση 300 αεροπορικών βομβών τύπου ΜΚ-82 στα ΗΑΕ. Η Νέα Δημοκρατία βέβαια περιόρισε και πάλι την κριτική της στη διαδικασία της πώλησης, επιχειρώντας να συγκαλύψει την ουσία του ζητήματος.

Οι βόμβες ΜΚ-82, αμερικανικής κατασκευής, τις οποίες επιχείρησε να πουλήσει η ελληνική κυβέρνηση στα ΗΑΕ – όταν πλέον είχαν ξεκινήσει οι βομβαρδισμοί στην Υεμένη – έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί σε ορισμένες από τις πιο μαζικές σφαγές αμάχων από την αρχή των επιθέσεων.

Υπολείμματα των συγκεκριμένων βομβών είχαν βρεθεί σε μια από τις επιθέσεις στην πρωτεύουσα Σανά, όπου σκοτώθηκαν τουλάχιστον 140 άνθρωποι και τραυματίστηκαν περίπου 520.

Παρά το γεγονός ότι τα φώτα της διεθνούς δημοσιότητας στρέφονται συνήθως στη Σαουδική Αραβία, για τα εγκλήματα που πραγματοποιεί στην Υεμένη, διεθνείς παρατηρητές καταγγέλλουν εδώ και χρόνια τη δράση και των ΗΕΑ.

Το Σεπτέμβριο το αμερικανικό Κέντρο Διεθνούς Πολιτικής παρουσίασε έκθεση με την οποία συνέδεε ορισμένες από τις πιο φρικιαστικές επιθέσεις της Σαουδικής Αραβίας και με τις ένοπλες δυνάμεις των Ηνωμένων Αραβικών Εμιράτων. Μεταξύ άλλων έκανε αναφορά σε εκπαίδευση παραστρατιωτικών οργανώσεων στο εσωτερικό της Υεμένης αλλά και στον αποκλεισμό λιμανιών μέσω των οποίων γινόταν η μεταφορά ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας.

Στην έκθεση αναφέρεται ότι από το 2009 τα ΗΑΕ έχουν δαπανήσει τουλάχιστον ένα δισεκατομμύριο δολάρια σε βόμβες αμερικανικής κατασκευής τις οποίες αργότερα έριχναν στην Υεμένη.
