Γερμανία: Ο στρατός προετοιμάζεται για ενδεχόμενη διάλυση της ΕΕ

Σχέδια επί χάρτου για το (όχι και τόσο) θεωρητικό σενάριο αποχώρησης και άλλων χωρών μελών της ΕΕ, στο πρότυπο του Brexit, πραγματοποιούν οι ένοπλες δυνάμεις της Γερμανίας, αποκάλυψε το περιοδικό Spiegel.

Πρόκειται για ένα από τα έξι σενάρια, τα οποία, σύμφωνα με αξιωματούχους του γερμανικού στρατού, θα μπορούσαν να προκαλέσουν γεωπολιτική αστάθεια στο χρονικό διάστημα μέχρι το 2040.

Σύμφωνα με το Spiegel, τα έξι σενάρια θα καθορίσουν τις εξοπλιστικές δαπάνες και την απόκτηση συγκεκριμένων οπλικών συστημάτων από τη Γερμανία το επόμενο διάστημα. Σε δυο σενάρια γίνεται αναφορά στο ενδεχόμενο επιστροφής σε κάποια μορφή “κρατικού καπιταλισμού” και διακοπή της παγκοσμιοποίησης.

Προφανώς τα σχέδια επί χάρτου δεν αποτελούν τίποτα περισσότερο από υποθετικά σενάρια και οι συγκεκριμένες εκθέσεις δεν αναφέρονται στο πόσο πιθανό είναι να πραγματοποιηθεί κάθε ένα από αυτό. Πολύ συχνά όμως, τέτοιου είδους μελέτες φέρνουν στην επιφάνεια τις πιο κρυφές ανησυχίες του πολιτικού και οικονομικού κατεστημένου κάθε χώρας. Και φυσικά για τη Γερμανία ο μεγαλύτερος φόβος είναι η κατάρρευση της σημερινής αρχιτεκτονικής της ΕΕ, η οποία προσφέρει στο Βερολίνο πλεονεκτήματα που δεν έχουν προηγούμενο από την εποχή του… δευτέρου παγκοσμίου πολέμου και της στρατιωτικής κατοχής της Ευρώπης.

Χάρη στους μηχανισμούς της ΕΕ και της ευρωζώνης η Γερμανία κατάφερε να διασώσει τις τράπεζές της, μετά την κρίση του 2007-2008 και να συγκεντρώσει γιγαντιαία πλεονάσματα, τα οποία μεταφράζονται σε ελλείμματα για το σύνολο των υπολοίπων χωρών του ευρώ.

Το γεγονός ότι οι γερμανικές ένοπλες δυνάμεις καλούνται να προετοιμαστούν για το ενδεχόμενο απώλειας ενός χρυσοφόρου μηχανισμού δεν θα πρέπει να προκαλεί έκπληξη σε κανέναν.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events.
