Βαρουφάκης: οι τεχνολογίες πληροφορικής θα ανατρέψουν τον Καπιταλισμό


Ο Γιάννης Βαρουφάκης τελείωσε την πρόσφατη ομιλία του σχετικά με το μέλλον του Καπιταλισμού στο New School, New York, με ορισμένες ενδιαφέρουσες επισημάνσεις.

Όπως είπε:

Ο κόσμος που ζούμε γίνεται όλο και πιο ακυβέρνητος, μέσα σε μόνιμη ύφεση που εκδηλώνεται με αργό ρυθμό, ενώ την ίδια στιγμή, η αυξανόμενη συγκέντρωση στον τομέα της πληροφορικής δημιουργεί νέες τεχνολογίες που θα καταφέρουν αυτό που δεν κατάφερε η Αριστερά: να ανατρέψουν τον Καπιταλισμό. Είναι πραγματικά πολύ απλό.

Τη στιγμή που οι μηχανές καταφέρουν να περάσουν το τεστ Τούρινγκ κανονικά και - για παράδειγμα - σηκώσετε το τηλέφωνό σας και δεν θα μπορείτε να καταλάβετε αν αυτός/αυτή που σας μιλάει είναι ανθρώπινο ον ή μηχανή˙ τη στιγμή που θα κατασκευαστούν 3D εκτυπωτές που θα εκτυπώνουν από καρφίτσα μέχρι και ολόκληρο αυτοκίνητο, τη στιγμή που θα γίνουν αυτά, δεν θα έχουμε απλά μια δημιουργική καταστροφή τύπου Σουμπέτερ, αλλά μια διαδικασία όπου οι οικονομίες κλίμακας και η όλη λογική του κορπορατικού Καπιταλισμού καταρρέει.

Σε αυτό το σημείο, έχουμε την πλήρη απογύμνωση του πολιτικού συστήματος από κάθε επίφαση Δημοκρατίας, το οποίο δεν θα μπορεί να αναλάβει ρυθμιστικό ρόλο. Σε αυτό το σημείο, η ανθρωπότητα βρίσκεται σε μια κρίσιμη καμπή: είτε θα προχωρήσει προς μια Ουτοπία τύπου Σταρ Τρεκ, όπου η τεχνολογία γίνεται ο σκλάβος μας και καταφέρνουμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε τη δυνατότητά της για παραγωγή πλούτου προς το κοινό καλό, κάτι που θα καθορίζεται με δημοκρατικό τρόπο και όχι με βάση την τεχνολογία, ή, θα προχωρήσουμε προς μια Δυστοπία τύπου Μάτριξ, όπου οι άνθρωποι, ασχέτως αν είναι οι ιδιοκτήτες αυτών των μηχανών ή οι φτωχοποιημένες μάζες που θα βρίσκονται έξω από την παραγωγική διαδικασία, θα καταλήξουν όλοι τελικά να γίνουν οι υπηρέτες των μηχανών.

Η επιλογή εξαρτάται από την Δημοκρατική πολιτική. Η επιλογή εξαρτάται από τον καθένα.

Σε αυτή τη φάση, οι αδίστακτες ελίτ σπάνε το κοινωνικό συμβόλαιο, λόγω υπερ-αυτοματοποίησης. Ελέγχουν τους διεφθαρμένους πολιτικούς και τους χρησιμοποιούν για να απορυθμίσουν το σύστημα τελείως, με βάση τα συμφέροντά τους. Το Ελληνικό πείραμα θα μπορούσε να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως πρότυπο για την διαδικασία αυτή.

Μια επικίνδυνη ψευδαίσθηση των ελίτ είναι ότι θεωρούν ότι μπορούν να ξεφύγουν, όπως και στο παρελθόν, σε περίπτωση μιας μαζικής κατάρρευσης. Όμως, αν ποτέ υπάρξει επανάσταση στον 21ο αιώνα σύντομα, αυτή θα γίνει από εκείνους που κατέληξαν να είναι στατιστικά νούμερα καταγραφής της φτώχειας, της ανεργίας, της ανισότητας και του κοινωνικού αποκλεισμού από αυτό το ανελέητο σύστημα. Άνθρωποι χωρίς ελπίδες και όνειρα, χωρίς να αναζητούν ένα καλύτερο μέλλον, χωρίς ταξική συνείδηση. Άνθρωποι που δεν έχουν τίποτα να χάσουν. Θα είναι άσχημο, χαοτικό, ανεξέλεγκτο, απρόβλεπτο και μάλλον αμφίβολο αν θα μπορούσε να το αποκαλέσει κανείς "επανάσταση".

Η άλλη μεγάλη τους ψευδαίσθηση, είναι ότι πιστεύουν ότι μπορούν να ξεφύγουν από αυτό που υπονοεί ο Βαρουφάκης. Ότι δηλαδή, σε ένα εντελώς απορρυθμισμένο σύστημα όπου η πολιτική ισχύς θα έχει εξαλειφθεί και όλες οι διαδικασίες θα καθορίζονται από τη δύναμη της τεχνολογίας, ακόμα και οι ελίτ θα καταλήξουν τελικά να υποταχθούν στις εξαιρετικά εξελιγμένες, υπερ-αυτοματοποιημένες μηχανές. Αυτός είναι ο δρόμος προς μια Δυστοπία τύπου Μάτριξ για όλους.

Μπορούμε μόνο να ελπίζουμε ότι τα πράγματα θα εξελιχθούν διαφορετικά προς μια "Σταρ Τρεκ Ουτοπία" όπως περιγράφει ο Βαρουφάκης. Η δίψα για περισσότερη δύναμη και κέρδη, μπορεί να οδηγήσει τις μεγαλύτερες εταιρίες σε ένα νέο κύκλο σκληρού ανταγωνισμού. Επιπλέον, μπορεί να αποδειχθεί δύσκολο γι'αυτές να κρατήσουν το μονοπώλιο της τεχνολογίας για πολύ καιρό. Τελικά η τεχνολογία των υπερ-αυτοματοποιημένων μηχανών θα ξεφύγει από τα μονοπώλια και μια νέα σειρά μικρομεσαίων επιχειρήσεων θα ανθήσει στον τομέα αυτό. Σύντομα, θα μπορούσαμε να δούμε να επαναλαμβάνεται το σενάριο με τους υπολογιστές και το Ίντερνετ. Ωστόσο, στην περίπτωση αυτή, η επίδραση στις κοινωνίες θα είναι πολύ πιο προφανής. Αν οι υπερ-αυτοματοποιημένες μηχανές γίνουν όλο και πιο φθηνές και προσβάσιμες σε εκατομμύρια νοικοκυριά, θα ήταν κάτι που θα μπορούσε να εκτοξεύσει την ποιότητα ζωής εκατομμυρίων ανθρώπων σε άνευ προηγουμένου επίπεδα.

Ωστόσο, οι πιθανότητες είναι ενάντια σε μια τέτοια προοπτική, ακριβώς επειδή οι ελίτ χρησιμοποιούν την αυξανόμενη δύναμή τους, ώστε να οδηγήσουν τις κοινωνίες σε αντίθετη κατεύθυνση. Χρειάζεται όλοι να παλέψουμε για να αλλάξουμε τις ισορροπίες. Χρειάζεται να φέρουμε τις πολιτικές διαδικασίες και πάλι στο κέντρο των κρίσιμων αποφάσεων που θα καθορίσουν το μέλλον μας. Να χρησιμοποιήσουμε την τεχνολογία προς όφελος όλων. Αλλιώς, η ανάπτυξη πλήρους τεχνητής νοημοσύνης θα μπορούσε να σημάνει το τέλος της ανθρώπινης φυλής, όπως προειδοποίησε ο διάσημος Βρετανός επιστήμονας Stephen Hawking, αλλά και πολλοί άλλοι.

    η Ελίτ θα ξεφεύγει πάντα. Δεν ειναι κορόιδα και ελέγχουν τα πάντα. Δεν πρόκειται η ελίτ να υποδουλωθεί στις μηχανές. Η ελίτ θα χρησιμοποιήσει τις μηχανές για να περάσει καλά.
    Η ελίτ θα καταφέρει μέσω επέμβασης στο ανθρώπινο DNA να δημιουργήσει την πραγματική ράτσα της ελίτ - μιλάμε για βάθος χρόνων έτσι?- χρησιμοποιώντας τους ΄΄αναλώσιμους απλούς ανθρώπους΄΄ για να κάνει τις δουλειές της απολαμβάνοντας μια πολύ μεγάλη και χωρίς προβλήματα ζωή.
    Άλλωστε αυτό που συμβαίνει τώρα δεν είναι κάτι άλλο παρά η επίθεση της ελίτ σ΄αυτούς που τόλμησαν και σήκωσαν κεφάλι δείχνοντάς τους ότι η θέση τους είναι αλλού και όχι εκεί που προσπαθούν να φτάσουν.
