Οι 638 «ευφάνταστες» απόπειρες δολοφονίας του Φιντέλ Κάστρο

Ήταν αδιαμφισβήτητα μία από τις πλέον εμβληματικές προσωπικότητες του αιώνα, που έφυγε αφήνοντας πίσω του ορκισμένους φίλους αλλά κι εχθρούς. Ο Φιντέλ Κάστρο, ο πατέρας της κουβανικής επανάστασης έφυγε τελικά από φυσικά αίτια στα 90 του χθες το βράδυ, έχοντας όμως καταφέρει να γλιτώσει από 638 απόπειρες δολοφονίας, κι αποδεικνύοντας πως ήταν... εκείνος που έπρεπε να ζήσει.

Ενορχηστρωτής της πλειοψηφίας των σχεδίων δολοφονίας του Κάστρο δεν θα μπορούσε παρά να να είναι η αμερικανική CIA. Με ευφάνταστους τρόπους, όπως ένα πούρο που είχε σχεδιαστεί για να εκραγεί, και λιγότερο ευφάνταστους όπως μια ερωμένη που είχε επιστρατευτεί για να τον δηλητηριάσει, η CIA δεν κατάφερε να εξοντώσει το «σκληρό καρύδι» που έμεινε στην ηγεσία της Κούβας για σχεδόν μισό αιώνα.

Σημειώνεται ότι ο ιστορικός ηγέτης της Κούβας είχε γραφτεί στο Βιβλίο των Ρεκόρ Γκίνες, ως το άτομο εναντίον του οποίου έχουν γίνει οι περισσότερες απόπειρες δολοφονίας. Ο ίδιος είχε δηλώσει χαρακτηριστικά ότι αν αν η αποφυγή δολοφονίας ήταν ολυμπιακό άθλημα, θα είχε πάρει το χρυσό μετάλλιο.

Μάλιστα, επέμενε ότι οι απόπειρες δολοφονίας εναντίον του δεν σταμάτησαν ακόμα και μέχρι τα τέλη της περασμένης δεκαετίας, επί προεδρίας του Τζορτζ Μπους.

Ίσως η πιο γνωστή απόπειρα δολοφονίας του Φιντέλ Κάστρο ήταν αυτή με το πούρο - βόμβα. Το έχουμε δει στα κινούμενα σχέδια, ωστόσο η CIA θέλησε να το κάνει και στην πραγματική ζωή. Το πούρο θα έμπαινε σε κουτί με πολλά ακόμα εκρηκτικά για να του διέλυε το κεφάλι. Το 1967, η Saturday Evening Post ανέφερε ότι ένας αστυνομικός από τη Νέα Υόρκη είχε επιφορτιστεί με το σχέδιο και την ελπίδα πως θα τα κατάφερνα κατά τη διάρκεια της επίσκεψης του Κάστρο στην σύσκεψη των Ηνωμένων Εθνών τον Σεπτέμβριο του 1960.

Όταν είδαν ότι το σχέδιο δεν ευόδωσε, δεν το έβαλαν κάτω και συνέχισαν να κάνουν σχέδια με τα πούρα. Η CIA έφτασε στο σημείο να προσλάβει έναν διπλό πράκτορα που θα έδινε στον Κάστρο ένα πούρο, στο οποίο είχαν βάλει βουτουλινική τοξίνη, η οποία είναι εξαιρετικά επικίνδυνη ουσία σε μεγάλες δόσεις.

Το να τον εξοντώσουν με ένα πούρο επιτελούσε διπλό στόχο για τις ΗΠΑ: Πέραν το ότι θα τον έβγαζαν από τη μέση, θα το έκαναν αυτό, πληγώνοντας το γόητρο του, αφού θα είχε σκοτωθεί με μια κίνηση που αποτελούσε το σήμα - κατατεθέν του πατέρα της κουβανικής επανάστασης.

Άλλο ένα σήμα κατατεθέν του Φιντέλ Κάστρο ήταν και η μακριά αντάρτικη γενειάδα του, η οποία πήγε επίσης να γίνει στόχος των «τσακαλιών» της CIA, που σκέφτηκαν να ρίξουν μία σκόνη στα παπούτσια του, που θα έκανε τα γένια του να πέσουν.

Από τις κορυφαίες στιγμές των αμερικανικών μυστικών υπηρεσιών, που γνώριζαν ότι ο Κάστρο ήταν ένας δεινός δύτης και βούταγε συχνά στα νερά του νησιού της Επανάστασης, ήταν η ιδέα τους να βάλουν έναν σπάνιο μύκητα στην καταδυτική στολή του, που προκαλεί σοβαρό αλλεργικό σοκ και θάνατο. Ούτε και αυτό όμως πέτυχε να ξεγελάσει τον υποψιασμένο Φιντέλ Κάστρο.

Όταν δεν φόρεσε τη δηλητηριασμένη στολή, αποφάσισαν να βάλουν εκρηκτικά σε κάποιο εντυπωσιακό όστρακο, στο αγαπημένο σημείο του που έκανε καταδύσεις. Σκεφτόντουσαν να το κάνουν ιδιαίτερο και με έντονα χρώματα ώστε να του τραβήξει την προσοχή, να το πάρει και να σκοτωθεί. Αλλά δεν…

Όταν δολοφονήθηκε ο Τζον Κένεντι, αποφασίστηκε να σκοτώσουν τον Κάστρο με ένα στυλο - σύριγγα. Ο Ρολάντο Κουμπέλα, στενός συνεργάτης του Φιντέλ, πέρασε στο άλλο στρατόπεδο και συμφώνησε να τρυπήσει τον Κάστρο με το δολοφονικό στυλο κατά την ετήσια ομιλία του το 1965 στο Βαραντέρ. Ωστόσο η επιχείρηση ματαιώθηκε καθώς κάποιος μίλησε κι έφτασε κι αυτό στα αυτιά του κομαντάντε.

Άλλο σχέδιο που συζητήθηκε ήταν η μόλυνση του αέρα στο ραδιόφωνο της Αβάνας με χημικό που είχε παρόμοιες επιπτώσεις με το LSD. Αν δεν τον σκότωνε, τουλάχιστον θα έπληγε την εικόνα του. Αλλά και αυτή φορά η CIA δεν είχε τύχη…

Κάποια στιγμή, η CIA καλλιεργούσε δηλητηριώδη βακτήρια με σκοπό να τα ρίξει στις πετσέτες και στο τσάι του Κάστρο. Μηδέν εις το πηλίκο και πάλι.

Στη συνέχεια, αν και το μιλσέικ αμερικανο - φέρνει ο ηγέτης της Κούβας θέλησε να δοκιμάσει κάποια στιγμή ένα. Η προσπάθεια απέτυχε και πάλι, όταν ο δολοφόνος - σερβιτόρος πήγε να βγάλει από την κατάψυξη το χάπι - δηλητήριο αλλά αυτό κόλλησε στα τοιχώματα με αποτέλεσμα να διαλυθεί.

Εξίσου αναποτελεσματική στάθηκε η προσπάθεια να ρίξουν μια γυναικά - αράχνη δίπλα του. Είναι ένα κόλπο που υποτίθεται ότι πιάνει σε όλους τους άντρες, αλλά όχι στον Κάστρο. Η γυναίκα «δηλητήριο» έγινε όντως ερωμένη του. Το σχέδιο ήταν να του ρίξει χάπια στο ποτό του, αλλά τα χάπια που της είχε δώσει η CIA έλιωσαν καθώς εκείνη τα είχε κρύψει σε ένα βαζάκι με μια κρέμα προσώπου. Ο Κουβανός ηγέτης ήταν όμως ήδη ενήμερος. Όταν βρέθηκαν οι δυο τους της έδωσε το ίδιο του το όπλο και την κάλεσε να τον σκοτώσει, αλλά η ίδια του είπε ότι «δεν μπορούσε να το κάνει» ...

Αφού δεν τα κατάφερε η ερωμένη, ανέλαβε ένας πρώην συμμαθητής του να βγάλει το φίδι από την τρύπα και να βάλει τον Κάστρο στον τάφο, ύστερα ανέλαβε ένας ελεύθερος σκοπευτής στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Αβάνας και άλλοι πολλοί, αλλά όπως αποδείχτηκε δεν ήταν μόνο έξυπνος αλλά είχε ίσως και την καλύτερη φρουρά του κόσμου.

Η τελευταία σοβαρη προσπάθεια δολοφονίας του έγινε το 2000 όταν σε μία επίσκεψη του στον Παναμά, αποκαλύφθηκε ότι κάτω από το βήμα από όπου θα μιλούσε, είχαν τοποθετηθεί εκρηκτικά.

Τελικά, ο Φιντέλ Κάστρο αποσύρθηκε από μόνος του, από την πολιτική το 2006, ενώ λίγο αργότερα διαγνώστηκε με καρκίνο του παχέος εντέρου.

Από ένα σημείο και μετά πάντως οι περιπέτειες του ηγέτη του νησιού της Επανάστασης και το πως κατάφερνε κάθε φορά να επιβιώνει, έγιναν ανέκδοτο για τους Κουβανούς.

Ένα από τα πιο γνωστά ήταν το εξής:

«Κάποιος δίνει στον Κάστρο δώρο μια χελώνα Γκαλαπάγκος. Ο Κάστρο την αρνείται όταν μαθαίνει ότι θα ζήσει μόνο 100 χρόνια, καθώς, όπως λέει, “αυτό είναι το πρόβλημα με τα κατοικίδια. Δένεσαι μαζί τους και μετά γερνάνε και πεθαίνουν”».

British diplomat exposes Iran hysteria and Israel lobby

Declassified UK   “Israel is not an ally” of Britain, former UK ambassador Sir Richard Dalton has told Declassified in a wide-ranging interview.   He also warns that Britain’s Israel lobby is getting “stronger” and exerts “a very powerful force in our society” including over politicians and political parties.
