That was too fast: Trump one step closer to secure interests of his billionaire class

Nearly a year ago, we wrote about the real "nature" of Donald Trump, according to our humble opinion. We have pointed that Trump's rhetoric of extreme cynicism has its roots back to the Thatcherian cynicism through which the neoliberal doctrine became the dominant culture in the West. Yet, the great contradiction here is that Donald Trump was promoted as an 'anti-establishment' candidate, while in reality, it appears to be only a reserve of the establishment, as has been pointed several times since then.

It has been mentioned back then thatthe eccentric billionaire, Donald Trump, is attacking on everyone, even on his internal Republican opponents, with words like "losers". Through an even more cynical manner, he attacks on the Mexican immigrants, saying that they are drug dealers and rapists. The "made in USA" hypocrisy is skyrocketing, as the businesses of CIA with the drug cartels all over Latin America is well known, as well as, the extreme exploitation of the immigrants by the US big capital, to which Trump belongs.”, concluding that “Americans are always pioneers. It has started with Mitt Romney and now it's Trump's turn. It's time for the "useless" politicians to step away, so that billionaires to come in the front line. Neoliberalism drops the final big leaf: Yes, we are the one percent who have exploited you and impoverished you, and we want to govern so that to make sure that you will never rise up ...

Well, guess who went to meet Trump yesterday. That's right, Mitt Romney! What an "evil" coincidence!

From japantoday:

President-elect Donald Trump and Mitt Romney met Saturday at the billionaire’s golf club in New Jersey, both emerging with smiles and a public handshake but no word on what, if any, role the 2012 GOP hopeful might play in the new administration.

Trump flashed a thumbs-up said the sit down “went great.” Romney said the two had a “far reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the United States of real significance.

The meeting alone was notable after the crackling rancor between the men all year. Romney assailed Trump in a stinging speech in March, calling him a “con man” and a “phony.” Trump responded by calling Romney a “loser” who “choked like a dog” during the 2012 election and let President Barack Obama win.

Well, it looks like the two multi-millionaire buddies gave a great performance before the election, supposedly attacking each other! Apparently, they have managed to erase their differences really fast!

In another, recent article, it has been mentioned that Donald Trump “played well his role as an anti-establishment candidate, but in reality, he is only a reserve of the establishment. What do you think he would do? Protect the interests of the poor working people or the interests of his billionaire class? Can you guess? It's not that hard. At least let's hope that he will resist against starting a war with Russia as the US deep state (and Hillary of course) wants.

Well, even the avoidance of an open conflict with Russia becomes more and more doubtful under Trump presidency. Pay attention to the new signals sent by Romney. He said that he had with Trump a “far reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the United States of real significance.

According to all recent developments, including the first who have been picked by Trump to serve in key positions, we conclude, unfortunatelly, that we were right. Of course, the possibility to pardon the Whistleblowers sounds like a joke. What is rather certain, is that Trump will mark a transition into a neofeudalism, where the cruel police state will be further reinforced on the pretext of terrorism, in order to protect the super-rich from "unexpected" resistance from the impoverished masses.

So, one could ask: should Americans have voted Hillary? The answer is: not at all. The dangerous, corrupted, warmongering, neoliberal, pro-neocon Hillary Clinton was not an option. But the American voters had at least two chances to change the course of history, bringing an unprecedented political earthquake.

The first was with Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primaries. If millions of Americans had massively rejected Hillary from the start, voting for Bernie, nothing could stop him. Not even DNC's dirty games. But they could also do the same thing later with Jill Stein and the Greens. Leaving behind the bipartisan dictatorship for good.

Let's hope that Donald Trump will show his real face soon, so that the US citizens to prepare for a real political revolution in 2020 that will manage to beat this dark age that is about to come. But for such a purpose, it is necessary all the real progressive forces to unite outside the bipartisan authoritarianism, to create the suitable conditions for this mass movement that is about to rise.

  1. The two options you suggest to trump and clinton, one a spineless pro-zionist fraud without a shread of morality in his entire being. The other a sideshow whose agenda never touched upon isdues of greater importance. Not to mention lacking the charisma of an aardvark. Amerika is a decaying corpse whose citizenry for the most part are interested in nothing that will change society for the better. I consistantly see authors like yourself bemoan the plight of the working and middle classes. I suggest you take a break from tapping upon your keyboard and get out among the many middle class folks who currently pack mall and retail parking lots, retail stores and restaurants. Lots chock full of foreign luxary vehicles, SUV's of every sort and those decked out pick-ups that will never be used to transport tools and materials. Children with the latest mobile phones, designer clothing, and $400 bats for youth baseball. Life in good ole suburbia.
Things for the middle classes have not become bad enough to even make them consider reality. Bread and circuses work for

  3. Socialism brings poverty, misery, and chaos. Every single time.

Capitalism and true liberalism brings prosperity, as Thatcher did.

  4. Let's hope he keeps the enemy close enough to report to him so he can question every move. If so, very clever move by Donald Trump, because out of sight, out of mind whilst dealing with other problems and thus lots of danger ahead.

Capitalism & Genocide - Yanis Varoufakis Speech at the Gaza Tribunal, 23rd October 2025, Istanbul

Yanis Varoufakis   On 23rd October, Yanis Varoufakis testified in front of the Jury of Conscience in the context of the Gaza Tribunal. His speech focused on the economic forces underpinning the genocide of the Palestinian people. In particular, he spoke on the manner in which capitalist dynamics have historically fuelled the white settler colonial project and, more recently, how the accumulation of a new form of capital - which he calls cloud capital - has accelerated, deepened and amplified the economic forces powering and propelling the machinery of genocide.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events. The following is a brief response to Ellsberg’s main points from someone who lives in Nicaragua and has observed the situation directly and intimately: https://grayzoneproject.com/2018/08/15/a-res...

Iran could be the US’s Boer war: a hollow victory that marks the beginning of the end of empire

US leaders anticipated a walkover. Now they’re embroiled in a conflict that could hasten the end of US economic dominance  by Larry Elliott   Nobody gave the Boers a prayer when the war in South Africa began in 1899. It was farmers ranged against the might of the British empire, and the expectation was that resistance would quickly crumble. Eventually, might did prevail. Britain won the Boer war, but it was a hollow victory that took the best part of three years to achieve and came at a high cost. The blow to British prestige – coming at a time when its global hegemony was under threat from fast-growing countries such as the US – was severe. Far from highlighting the extent of Britain’s power, it exposed its limitations. A century and a quarter later, the US risks being embroiled in its equivalent of the Boer war. What should have been a walkover threatens to become a prolonged conflict. The Iranians are using guerrilla tactics, just as the Boers did, with much success. There ...

Stephen Hawking confirms: The problem is Capitalism, not robots!

globinfo freexchange According to world famous physicist Stephen Hawking, the rising use of automated machines may mean the end of human rights – not just jobs. But he’s not talking about robots with artificial intelligence taking over the world, he’s talking about the current capitalist political system and its major players. On Reddit, Hawking said that the economic gap between the rich and the poor will continue to grow as more jobs are automated by machines, and the owners of said machines hoard them to create more wealth for themselves. The insatiable thirst for capitalist accumulation bestowed upon humans by years of lies and terrible economic policy has affected technology in such a way that one of its major goals has become to replace human jobs. If we do not take this warning seriously, we may face unfathomable corporate domination. If we let the same people who buy and sell our political system and resources maintain control of automated technology, the...
