Τουρκική εισβολή στη Συρία: ο Ερντογάν πετυχαίνει τους πρωταρχικούς του στόχους


Είναι γενικά παραδεκτό ότι οι Κουρδικές δυνάμεις έπαιξαν καθοριστικό ρόλο στην ήττα των Τζιχαντιστών εξτρεμιστών στη Βόρεια Συρία. Είναι σχεδόν βέβαιο ότι οι Αμερικανοί ήταν έτοιμοι να τους ανταμείψουν δίνοντάς τους τον πλήρη έλεγχο της περιοχής. Αυτό ήταν κάτι που άνοιγε το δρόμο για το πρώτο, πλήρως αυτόνομο Κουρδικό κράτος. Άλλωστε, η προοπτική αυτή ήταν απόλυτα συμβατή με τα σχέδια των ΗΠΑ και των Δυτικών, να επαναχαράξουν τα σύνορα στη Μέση Ανατολή.

Αυτό ήταν κάτι που σίγουρα σήμανε συναγερμό για τον Ερντογάν επειδή θα άνοιγε τον ασκό του Αιόλου για ένα Κουρδικό κράτος στην ευρύτερη περιοχή, το οποίο θα συμπεριλάμβανε φυσικά και ένα σημαντικό τμήμα της Τουρκικής επικράτειας.

Άρα, ο ίδιος έπρεπε να ρισκάρει, μη έχοντας πολλά περιθώρια. Με μεθοδικό τρόπο προσπάθησε να προσεγγίσει τη Ρωσία και να κάνει τους Αμερικανούς να πιστέψουν ότι η Τουρκία δεν θα δίσταζε να αλλάξει στρατόπεδο. Αρκεί να θυμηθούμε τις δημόσιες δηλώσεις του με τις οποίες έστελνε ξεκάθαρο μήνυμα ότι η Τουρκία θα μπορούσε να εγκαταλείψει τη Νατοϊκή συμμαχία. Ταυτόχρονα, έπαιξε το παιχνίδι με τους Ρωσικούς πυραύλους S-400 και τα Αμερικανικά μαχητικά F35 για να στείλει μήνυμα στους κατάλληλους αποδέκτες και ειδικότερα στο Αμερικανικό βαθύ κράτος, ότι εννοεί αυτά που λέει και δεν μπλοφάρει.

Είναι επίσης σχεδόν βέβαιο, ότι ο Ερντογάν, ειδικότερα στην τελευταία συνάντηση με τον Τραμπ, πίεσε τον Αμερικανό πρόεδρο να αποσύρει τις Αμερικανικές δυνάμεις από τη Βόρεια Συρία, δίνοντας το πράσινο φως για την Τουρκική εισβολή. Αυτός ήταν ο πρώτος άμεσος στόχος του.

Ο Τραμπ δεν είχε πολλές επιλογές. Δεν θα ρίσκαρε να χάσει έναν εξαιρετικά κρίσιμο σύμμαχο για χάρη των Κούρδων. Και έτσι, τα σχέδια για τη δημιουργία ενός Κουρδικού κράτους θα έπρεπε να αναβληθούν άλλη μια φορά.

Έτσι, έχοντας πετύχει τον πρώτο του στόχο, ο Ερντογάν ήταν ελεύθερος να εισβάλει στη Βόρεια Συρία για να πετύχει τον δεύτερο στόχο του: να σαμποτάρει αποτελεσματικά τα σχέδια για ένα πλήρως αυτόνομο Κουρδικό κράτος. Με τους Αμερικανούς εκτός παιχνιδιού, η συμμαχία με τις δυνάμεις του Άσαντ και τη Ρωσία κατά δεύτερο λόγο, ήταν τελικά μονόδρομος για τους Κούρδους, κάτι που αυτόματα σήμαινε ότι θα έπρεπε να ξεχάσουν τα σχέδιά τους για πλήρη αυτονομία.

Είναι εξαιρετικά απίθανο ο Ερντογάν να ρισκάρει μια σύγκρουση με τον Συριακό στρατό και ίσως με τους Ρώσους. Άλλωστε, δεν υπάρχει λόγος. Φαίνεται πως στην παρούσα φάση όλοι είναι κερδισμένοι. Ο Ερντογάν κερδίζει χρόνο και μπορεί πλέον να επιβάλλει τους όρους του στις συζητήσεις για το τελικό καθεστώς στην περιοχή, προκειμένου να αποσύρει τις Τουρκικές δυνάμεις. Ενώ η Συριακή κυβέρνηση και οι σύμμαχοι Ρώσοι, αποφεύγουν τον διαμελισμό της Συρίας, βάζοντας εμπόδια στα Αμερικανικά σχέδια για επαναχάραξη των συνόρων.

Παρόλα αυτά, είναι πολύ δύσκολο κανείς να προβλέψει τι θα συμβεί στη συνέχεια σε αυτό το χαοτικό παζλ στη Μέση Ανατολή.

Ένα είναι σίγουρο. Καθώς οι διάφοροι αδίστακτοι παίχτες παίζουν τα παιχνίδια τους στη γεωπολιτική σκακιέρα, το μάρμαρο το πληρώνουν και πάλι οι χιλιάδες άμαχοι που χάνουν τις ζωές τους και εγκαταλείπουν τις εστίες τους, προκειμένου να γλιτώσουν από τη βαρβαρότητα του πολέμου. 

Υ.Γ. Σε λιγότερο από 24 ώρες από την δημοσίευση της Αγγλικής έκδοσης του άρθρου, ο Ερντογάν δήλωσε ότι "δεν τον ενοχλεί" η ανάπτυξη των Συριακών δυνάμεων γύρω από την πόλη Μανμπίτζ, αρκεί να φύγουν οι Κούρδοι μαχητές. Είναι μια δήλωση που δείχνει να επιβεβαιώνει τις εκτιμήσεις μας.
