Θύελλα αντιδράσεων για τα drones που φέρουν οπλισμό στις ΗΠΑ

“Το να επιτρέπεται στην αστυνομία να χρησιμοποιεί τηλεκατευθυνόμενα μη επανδρωμένα εναέρια οχήματα που φέρουν όπλα στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής μπορεί να αποδειχθεί ιδιαίτερα επικίνδυνο, ενώ συμβάλλει στην περαιτέρω στρατιωτικοποίηση των υπηρεσιών επιβολής του νόμου, προειδοποίησε χθες μια οργάνωση προάσπισης των πολιτικών και ατομικών δικαιωμάτων.”

“'Η Βόρεια Ντακότα μόλις ψήφισε έναν νόμο για τα τηλεκατευθυνόμενα μη επανδρωμένα εναέρια οχήματα που επιτρέπει τα drones της αστυνομίας να μπορούν να φέρουν οπλισμό όπως τέιζερ, λαστιχένιες σφαίρες, δακρυγόνα, ηχητικά όπλα. Αυτή είναι μια φρικτή ιδέα', ανέφερε η Αμερικανική Ένωση Πολιτικών Ελευθεριών (American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU). Την Τετάρτη ο ιστότοπος Daily Beast ανέφερε ότι οι αρχές στην πολιτεία της Βόρειας Ντακότας αποφάσισαν να επιτρέψουν στην αστυνομία να κάνει χρήση τέιζερ, όπλων που προκαλούν ηλεκτροσόκ, να προχωρά σε ρίψεις δακρυγόνων ή βλημάτων με επικάλυψη από καουτσούκ από τηλεκατευθυνόμενα μη επανδρωμένα εναέρια οχήματα (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, UAVs).”

“Η ACLU επισήμανε ακόμη ότι η απόφαση είναι επικίνδυνη διότι η χρήση τέτοιων μέσων θα καταστήσει ευκολότερη τη χρήση βίας εξ αποστάσεως από την αστυνομία. Τα μη θανατηφόρα όπλα σκοτώνουν και αυτά, σημείωσε. Επιπλέον, η οργάνωση ανέφερε ότι η χρήση των UAVs μπορεί να είναι επικίνδυνη λόγω προβλημάτων ελέγχου, έλλειψης επικοινωνίας κ.λπ.”

Είναι φανερό ότι ενισχύεται σημαντικά το κράτος καταστολής, καθώς το πείραμα στην Ελλάδα πρέπει να ολοκληρωθεί πάση θυσία. Η προσπάθεια για την μεγαλύτερη ποινικοποίηση των διαδηλώσεων, θα διευρύνει σημαντικά το πεδίο ορισμού του ανθρώπου που είναι επικίνδυνος για την "ασφάλεια της χώρας, ή τη δημόσια τάξη". Αν όλα αυτά συνδυαστούν και με την πρόθεση της Ελληνικής αστυνομίας να προμηθευτεί μη επανδρωμένα αεροσκάφη, τα αποκαλούμενα "Drones" (http://www.tvxs.gr/news/ellada/drones-o-ekseligmenos-%C2%ABmegalos-adelfos%C2%BB-erxetai-stin-ellada), για πάσης φύσης υποκλοπές και παρακολουθήσεις, τότε εύκολα μπορεί να καταλάβει κανείς που οδηγούνται τα πράγματα.

Βλέπουμε ήδη τα πεδία δοκιμών των οπλικών συστημάτων του μέλλοντος˙ τα μη επανδρωμένα αεροσκάφη (drones) στο Αφγανιστάν, Ιράκ και αλλού. Δεν είναι τυχαίο ότι οι πολεμικές βιομηχανίες, κατασκευάζουν και επιδεικνύουν διάφορα οπλικά συστήματα που σχεδιάζονται για να χρησιμοποιηθούν μέσα σε αστικά κέντρα για την καταστολή πιθανών εξεγέρσεων. Δεν θα υπάρχει "εξωτερικός εχθρός" στο μέλλον. Η απειλή για το κυρίαρχο σύστημα θα έρχεται από το εσωτερικό, από τα μεγάλα αστικά κέντρα.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on.
