Another plutocratic castle to fall in Europe

Podemos and the other anti-austerity forces in Spain will push plutocrats towards their limited options

by system failure

It is almost certain that the results in the recent regional elections in Spain activated another alarm and brought further anxiety to the European neoliberal economic empire. The governing Popular Party (PP) and the Socialists lost significant power, while Podemos and the anti-austerity parties in the Left of the political spectrum "have the prestige of holding power in Barcelona, and could form a coalition to rule in the Spanish capital." (podemos-are-coming) This was certainly a political earthquake that hit Spain's political establishment.

It would be worth to remember that Greece has gone through a similar path. The Leftist party, SYRIZA, marked a clear victory in the euro-elections and a significant rise in the regional elections, held at the same period. Although SYRIZA lost in most of the 13 regions, the party managed to win the most populous (Attica) and prevail also in the Ionian Islands. (Greek_local_elections,_2014) Less than a year later, SYRIZA managed to win the national elections and form a coalition government.

The German political elite and the Brussels bureaucrats have every reason to worry about the situation in Spain, as the country could follow the Greek path during the national elections in December. However, the plutocratic puppets have limited options to react against the next Leftist "threat" and prevent a potential domino (europe-get-ready-for-war) which could be proved disastrous for their plans.

As already analyzed in previous article, it seems that the only option available for the eurocrats concerning Greece, is to impose a kind of controlled default without Grexit (controlled-default-without-grexit). However, neither this scenario would be an easy case for Brussels and Berlin. The Greek government has shaped a clear stance and declared that it will pay pensions and salaries rather than the next IMF dose of the loan, in case that the lenders insist on further catastrophic austerity and cuts in order to provide liquidity.

Additionally, the most radical part of SYRIZA speaks now openly about their willing to confront the lenders directly, break the negotiation process and prepare for the return to a national currency. During the recent SYRIZA party conference, the radical part has lost only to a few votes against what has been decided, which is to keep the negotiation process alive, without, however, the government to retreat on basic red lines.

The mainstream media in Greece started to circulate scenarios about possible national elections soon. The systemic parrots try to set pre-determined conditions for SYRIZA, by bringing back the "list" possibility. According to this, Alexis Tsipras will form a specific list with the names of the moderate part of his party to be elected, excluding those who belong to the most radical. This would be probably a faster and cleaner way for the neoliberal establishment to transform SYRIZA into a centre-left social democratic party (the-plan-of-global-financial-mafia), therefore "drowning" the possibility of a general rise of the Left in Europe.

However, it would be not so easy to do it in such a short time until the Spanish national elections. If SYRIZA manage to stay united and alive against the propaganda war until then, plutocrats will start losing control over their financial empire. Europe will be ready to make a big turn, and leave behind the dangerous path towards the new Feudalism.

Capitalism & Genocide - Yanis Varoufakis Speech at the Gaza Tribunal, 23rd October 2025, Istanbul

Yanis Varoufakis   On 23rd October, Yanis Varoufakis testified in front of the Jury of Conscience in the context of the Gaza Tribunal. His speech focused on the economic forces underpinning the genocide of the Palestinian people. In particular, he spoke on the manner in which capitalist dynamics have historically fuelled the white settler colonial project and, more recently, how the accumulation of a new form of capital - which he calls cloud capital - has accelerated, deepened and amplified the economic forces powering and propelling the machinery of genocide.

Munich Shock: Rubio’s Vision of a New Western Century & World Order

GVS Deep Dive   At the 2026 Munich Security Conference, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered one of the most consequential foreign policy speeches of the year. Framed as a call for Western renewal, his address went far beyond NATO reassurance — outlining a vision of sovereignty, industrial consolidation, and civilizational confidence that may signal the end of the post-Cold War global order.   Is this the beginning of a Second Cold War?   Is the West reorganizing around bloc competition?   Or are we witnessing the construction of a new world order?

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events. The following is a brief response to Ellsberg’s main points from someone who lives in Nicaragua and has observed the situation directly and intimately: https://grayzoneproject.com/2018/08/15/a-res...

Five reasons a war with Iran will mark the final fall of US empire

globinfo freexchange   1. The nature of war has changed dramatically since the Iraq war, due to technological developments. A ground invasion, especially against Iran, would be catastrophic for the US empire with unpredictable consequences, even if the regime-change mission successfully completed.  2. The Iran allies in the region are still active, despite their losses. This is connected with the first reason in a way because armed groups dispersed in the Middle-East and affiliated with Iran, can lead to an asymmetric, out-of-control conflict to the point where US forces may suddenly find themselves trapped in a wider deadly warzone with no exit. The new, relatively cheap technology of drones and small/middle range missiles, is easily accessible to these groups. The Ansar Allah group in Yemen, already demonstrated their ability to sabotage US military operations. 3. Iran is not Iraq. Not only due to its size and the fact that we live now in a very different period, but also be...
