Μπέρνι Σάντερς: Προς ένα πρωτόγνωρα μαζικό κίνημα στις ΗΠΑ;

Ένα μεγάλο ερώτημα πλανιέται πια πάνω από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής, και κατά –αναγκαστική- επέκταση και πάνω από ολάκερο τον κόσμο: άραγε ο πρωτοφανής λαϊκός ξεσηκωμός που προκαλεί η καμπάνια του Μπέρνι Σάντερς θα μπορέσει να μετατραπεί στο οργανωμένο λαϊκό κίνημα που θα φέρει τα πάνω κάτω στην καρδιά της ιμπεριαλιστικής υπερδύναμης και θα αλλάξει τον ρου της ιστορίας;

Δεν αμφιβάλλουμε για την έκπληξη και τις απορίες που θα προκαλέσει στον αναγνώστη το παραπάνω ερώτημα. Λαϊκό κίνημα στις ΗΠΑ; Και μάλιστα οργανωμένο; Που θα φέρει τα πάνω κάτω; Μα, είναι δυνατό να συμβαίνουν στις ΗΠΑ τέτοια «κοσμοϊστορικά» γεγονότα και κανένας να μην μιλάει εδώ για αυτά; Φυσικά, ο αναγνώστης έχει κάθε λόγο να απορεί. Και σίγουρα δεν φταίει αυτός για την έλλειψη στοιχειώδους πληροφόρησής του, αλλά μάλλον η τόσο επιμελώς οργανωμένη –σε διεθνή κλίμακα- πλήρης παραπληροφόρησή του. Είναι μάλιστα ενδεικτικό της κατάστασης που επικρατεί διεθνώς ότι ακόμα και εκείνοι που ψάχνουν με το φανάρι στις ειδήσεις, δεν έχουν καταφέρει να μάθουν παρά μόνον ότι ένας κάπως «ιδιότυπος» γηραιός Αμερικανός γερουσιαστής, που παρουσιάζεται ως «σοσιαλιστής» και ονομάζεται Μπέρνι Σάντερς, δημιουργεί τη μια έκπληξη μετά την άλλη και δυσκολεύει την πορεία της Χίλαρι Κλίντον προς το χρίσμα των Δημοκρατικών και στο… Λευκό Οίκο. Και πέραν αυτών ουδέν…

Τι θα λέγατε όμως αν σας έλεγαν ότι εδώ και μήνες, αυτός ο Μπέρνι Σάντερς δεν σταματάει να διαλαλεί ότι «αυτή η καμπάνια δεν είναι για να εκλεγεί πρόεδρος ο Μπέρνι Σάντερς. Είναι για να δημιουργηθεί σε αυτή τη χώρα ένα πολιτικό λαϊκό κίνημα». Και, όπως το εξηγεί ο ίδιος καθημερινά, κύριος –αν όχι αποκλειστικός- στόχος της καμπάνιας του είναι να βγάλει από το περιθώριο της πολιτικής και κοινωνικής ζωής τους Αμερικανούς εργαζόμενους και εργαζόμενες, τους νέους, τις καταπιεσμένες εθνικές και σεξουαλικές μειονότητες, τις γυναίκες, και τους μικρομεσαίους αγρότες, ώστε όλοι και όλες μαζί να συνειδητοποιήσουν την τεράστια δύναμή τους, για να πάρουν τις τύχες τους στα χέρια τους και να μπουν «στην πολιτική διαδικασία», και δημιουργώντας ένα «μαζικό κίνημα» να κάνουν πράξη την «πολιτική επανάσταση» που ευαγγελίζεται ο γερουσιαστής από το Βερμόντ!

Προφανώς όλα τα παραπάνω απέχουν παρασάγγες από την απλουστευτική εικόνα ακόμα και των πιο πληροφορημένων, που περιορίζει το «φαινόμενο Σάντερς» στις αλλεπάλληλες «απρόβλεπτες» εκλογικές του επιτυχίες και στην –όντως εκπληκτική- γεωμετρική αύξηση της δημοτικότητάς του, που ενώ πριν από ένα χρόνο δεν ξεπερνούσε το 3%, φτάνει σήμερα το 40%-47%! Ο λόγος λοιπόν όχι για το ενδεχόμενο να δούμε τον Μπέρνι Σάντερς στο Λευκό Οίκο, κάτι που παραμένει εντελώς εξωπραγματικό (ακόμα κι αν επρόκειτο να συμβεί, θα αρκούσε μια από τις … σφαίρες των αμερικανικών πολιτικών παραδόσεων για να αποτραπεί το «θαύμα»), αλλά για την προοπτική να δούμε να αφυπνίζεται η αμερικανική κοινωνία και να παίρνει σάρκα και οστά ένα γιγάντιο «κίνημα» των μέχρι τώρα άφωνων και άβουλων καταπιεσμένων πολιτών της.

Φυσικά, το εγχείρημα της δημιουργίας ενός τέτοιου οργανωμένου λαϊκού κινήματος είναι γιγάντιο και φοβερά δύσκολο. Εξάλλου, η επιτυχία του δεν εξαρτάται μόνο από την όποια καλή διάθεση και πρόθεση του Μπέρνι Σάντερς, όπως εξάλλου έχει μαλλιάσει η γλώσσα του να το λέει κάθε μέρα όταν προειδοποιεί τους οπαδούς του να μην πιστεύουν σε «σωτήρες» αλλά μόνο στις δικές τους δυνάμεις: «Αυτές οι εκλογές δεν είναι για τον Μπέρνι Σάντερς. Μπορείτε να έχετε τον καλύτερο πρόεδρο της ιστορίας του κόσμου -κάποιον με κουράγιο, έξυπνο και τολμηρό. Αυτό το πρόσωπο δεν θα είναι σε θέση να τα βγάλει πέρα με τις μεγάλες κρίσεις που αντιμετωπίζουμε εκτός και αν υπάρξει ένα μαζικό πολιτικό κίνημα –μια πολιτική επανάσταση- σε αυτή τη χώρα».

Το εξαιρετικά ελπιδοφόρο είναι ότι η ανάγκη αυτού του κινήματος απασχολεί ήδη όχι μόνο θεωρητικά αλλά και στη πράξη δεκάδες χιλιάδες αμερικανούς υποστηρικτές του. Έτσι, δεν είναι μόνον ότι αυξάνεται ραγδαία και φτάνει πια στο 33% το ποσοστό των (δεκάδων εκατομμυρίων) οπαδών του Μπ. Σάντερς που δηλώνουν ότι στη περίπτωση που αυτός δεν πάρει το χρίσμα, «αποκλείεται να ψηφίσουν» την Χίλαρι ή κάποιον άλλο υποψήφιο του «κατεστημένου». Είναι κυρίως, ότι πληθαίνουν οι κάθε λογής δικτυώσεις και λοιπές οργανωτικές δομές των υποστηρικτών του Σάντερς που προσανατολίζονται να συνεχίσουν να υπάρχουν, να συντονιστούν μεταξύ τους και να δρουν αυτόνομα και μετά τις προεδρικές εκλογές. Μια πρόχειρη ματιά στο διαδίκτυο αρκεί για να πάρει κανείς μια πρώτη γεύση αυτής της αληθινής οργανωτικής ριζοσπαστικής «κοσμογονίας» που δεν έχει καμιά σχέση με τις γνωστές αλλού οργανώσεις-σφραγίδες. Έτσι, εκτός από τις λίγο ή πολύ αναμενόμενες δικτυώσεις «Γυναίκες», «Αφρικανοί», «Νέοι», «Βετεράνοι», «Εργάτες», «Εβραίοι», «Σοσιαλιστές», ή «Λατίνοι για τον Μπέρνι» (που ετοιμάζουν όμως ήδη τα εθνικά συνέδρια τους με εκλογές αντιπροσώπων της βάσης), συναντούμε στους υποστηρικτές της υποψηφιότητας του Σάντερς πολυάριθμες καθαρόαιμα ριζοσπαστικές οργανώσεις όπως «Εξέγερση κατά της Πλουτοκρατίας» ή «Movement4Bernie» που, μαζί με προϋπάρχουσες ακροαριστερές και οικοσοσιαλιστικές οργανώσεις, εργατικά συνδικάτα και τοπικές κινήσεις πολιτών δηλώνουν ξεκάθαρα ότι εργάζονται για να δώσουν οργανωμένη κινηματική συνέχεια στην καμπάνια του Μπέρνι Σάντερς.

Ορισμένες χρήσιμες πληροφορίες για να μπορέσει ο αναγνώστης να αντιληφθεί τις διαστάσεις που θα μπορούσε να πάρει ένας τέτοιο λαϊκό βορειοαμερικανικό κίνημα. Σύμφωνα λοιπόν με όλες, χωρίς εξαίρεση, τις δημοσκοπήσεις, ο Σάντερς υποστηρίζεται από τη συντριπτική πλειοψηφία των πολιτών κάτω των 50 ετών, σε ποσοστό που αγγίζει μάλιστα το πρωτοφανές 80%-85% στις ηλικίες μεταξύ 18-35 ετών! Σημασία έχει επίσης ότι η υποστήριξη αυτών των νέων δεν είναι παθητική αλλά ενθουσιώδης και έμπρακτη και ότι χωρίς αυτούς θα ήταν πρακτικά αδύνατη η καμπάνια του Σάντερς που ξεκίνησε ουσιαστικά… άφραγκη και εντελώς απαξιωμένη από τα ΜΜΕ.

Μετά από τους νέους, είναι οι εργάτες και γενικότερα οι εργαζόμενοι που αποτελούν το δεύτερο μεγάλο πυλώνα της εκστρατείας του. Αν και πρόκειται κυρίως για τους «λευκούς» εργαζόμενους, που αψηφούν τις συνδικαλιστικές τους γραφειοκρατίες, υπάρχουν τελευταία σαφείς ενδείξεις ότι τους ακολουθεί πια ένα διαρκώς αυξανόμενο μέρος των «Λατίνων» συναδέλφων τους, ενώ ειδικά στο βιομηχανικό βορρά, αρχίζει να χειραφετείται από τον έλεγχο του κατεστημένου του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος και ένα σημαντικό τμήμα των μαύρων εργατών.

Γενικότερα, εκείνο που εντυπωσιάζει τον Ευρωπαίο αριστερό πολίτη που έχει πια συνηθίσει στις άχρωμες, άοσμες και αποστεωμένες ρουτινιέρικες –προεκλογικές και μη- συγκεντρώσεις της δικής του Αριστεράς, είναι η φοβερή μαζικότητα και ο άκρατος ενθουσιασμός όλων των εκατοντάδων συγκεντρώσεων –μέχρι και 4-5 τη μέρα!- του Σάντερς, σε μεγάλες, μεσαίες αλλά και πολύ μικρές πόλεις. Πρόκειται για ένα αληθινό ξέσπασμα που συνδυάζει την έκδηλη μαχητικότητα με μια διάχυτη συγκίνηση ότι οι συγκεντρωμένοι είναι συμμέτοχοι σε κάτι το «ιστορικό». Και όλα αυτά χωρίς δημαγωγίες και εύκολα συνθήματα, αλλά με τον Μπέρνι Σάντερς να απευθύνεται μόνιμα στο ταξικό ένστικτο και την ευφυΐα των παρισταμένων…

Κλείνουμε αυτό το άρθρο με την υπόσχεση να επανέλθουμε σύντομα προσπαθώντας να φωτίσουμε κάπως τις ρίζες αλλά και το πλαίσιο της, καθώς φαίνεται, ιστορικής κρίσης της αμερικανικής κοινωνίας και του αμερικανικού δικομματισμού μέσα στην οποία γεννήθηκε, κινείται και αναπτύσσεται το σημερινό «φαινόμενο Σάντερς». Επειδή όμως τίποτα δεν συγκρίνεται με τη δυνατότητα να σχηματίζουμε ανεπηρέαστα τη δική μας γνώμη στη βάση αυθεντικών χειροπιαστών ντοκουμέντων, ιδού στη συνέχεια ένα βίντεο 15 λεπτών μιας από τις αναρίθμητες ομιλίες του Μπέρνι Σάντερς, που μετάφρασε και υποτίτλισε ο Φίλιππας Φιλιππίδης, που έκανε το ίδιο και με την «ιστορική» ομιλία του Σάντερς για τα «δεινά του ελληνικού λαού και τους δημίους του» (http://contra-xreos.gr/arthra/1005-bernie-the-greek-video.html). Ακούστε τον και βγάλτε μόνοι τα συμπεράσματά σας…
