Μα γιατί τέτοια εμμονή με το Βγενόπουλο βρε παιδί μου;

Όταν ξεκινήσαμε τις έρευνες για τον Ευάγγελο Βενιζέλο πριν από χρόνια -αυτές που θα θυμάστε πως χαρακτήριζε επιθέσεις- ο Βενιζέλος ήταν ο συνταγματολόγος της καρδιάς μας, ο υπουργός των υπουργών, ο πλούσιος από προίκα φυσικά, ο ρήτορας και ευφυής πολιτικός. Κανένας δεν τολμούσε να τον αποκαλέσει Ναπολέοντα και νομοπαρασκευαστή της διαπλοκής. Να αποκαλέσει την πολιτική του επιτομή της έκφρασης συμφερόντων και τη ρητορεία του μπουρδολογία, κενότητα και βερμπαλισμό.

Έμπαινε στα στούντιο, τα φώτα και οι κάμερες άναβαν, ο Βενιζέλος φώναζε, γέλαγε, ίδρωνε και οι δημοσιογράφοι δίπλα του αντί να ρωτήσουν κόμπαζαν “μα τι ωραία που τα λέτε”, “είναι γνωστό πως είσαστε ευφυής”, “υπουργέ μου έχετε απόλυτο δίκιο”. Μου έχουν πει πως κάποιες παρουσιάστριες τον έχουν αποκαλέσει έως και γοητευτικό, αλλά αυτό είναι θέμα γούστου και σίγουρα το μικρότερο κακό για τη δημοσιογραφία.

Τρομαγμένη η κοινή γνώμη και άφωνοι οι θαυμαστές του επειδή κάναμε την ιεροσυλία να τον ακουμπήσουμε, μάθαιναν για το πώς άλλαξε νόμους και γλύτωσαν τη φυλακή οι πιο επιφανείς Θεσσαλονικείς, πώς έκανε άλλους νόμους για να βολευτεί η οικονομική ελίτ, πώς προμηθεύτηκε τα υποβρύχια αφού πρώτα κάλυψε τον Άκη για τα προηγούμενα, πώς ξελάσπωσε τη SIEMENS, πώς έκανε το PSI (ίσως το μεγαλύτερό του σκάνδαλο), πώς έκρυψε τη λίστα Λαγκάρντ.

Αποκαλύπταμε, αποκαλύπταμε, αποκαλύπταμε, αλλά κανένας δεν έγραφε κουβέντα.

Από ένα σημείο και μετά άρχισαν τα σχόλια «αμάν με το Βενιζέλο» , «έχεις εμμονή μαζί του», «δεν υπάρχουν άλλα θέματα» και άλλα τέτοια πονηρά ή έστω αφελή. Σήμερα ο Βενιζέλος μπαίνει με το ζόρι στη Βουλή, στην περιφέρειά του τον περνάει ακόμη και ο Λεβέντης, όταν επιστρατεύει το στόμφο τα social media τον αντιμετωπίζουν ως ανέκδοτο και αποφεύγει πια να πει, ακόμη και όταν είναι δικαιολογημένο, τη λέξη «εγώ» γιατί διαισθάνεται –αν και δεν θέλει να πιστέψει- πως γελάει το σύμπαν.

Εκτός από το Βενιζέλο ασχοληθήκαμε με το σύνολο της διαπλοκής, πιστοί σε ένα δικό μας δημοσιογραφικό δόγμα πως όταν ξεκινάς κάτι το πας ως το τέλος. Όταν η αποκάλυψη έφτανε στο ζενίθ της, άρχιζαν και πάλι «μα τι εμμονή είναι αυτή» με τον Άδωνη, τον Αθανασίου, τον, τον... τον.

Το ίδιο συμβαίνει με το Βγενόπουλο σήμερα. Ο ίδιος προσπαθεί να δείξει πως πρόκειται για προσωπικό μένος και κάποιοι άλλοι για εμμονή. Ο Βγενόπουλος, όπως και ο Βενιζέλος (που προχθές προσέτρεξε στη στήριξή του μιλώντας για παρεμβάσεις στη Δικαιοσύνη), δεν εμφανίζεται εδώ και χρόνια στα μίντια που έχει δανειοδοτήσει για να δώσει συμβουλές σωτηρίας της Ελλάδας. Το θέμα δεν είναι πως ο κόσμος έχει καταλάβει πως ο Βγενόπουλος δεν είναι σωτήρας, αλλά πως έχει καταλάβει πως είχε μια τράπεζα η οποία έδινε δάνεια σε επιχειρηματίες, ακόμη και σε επιχειρήσεις δικών του συμφερόντων, για να κάνουν αύξηση κεφαλαίου σε δικές του επιχειρήσεις. Έχει επίσης καταλάβει πως κάτι τρέχει με τη Δικαιοσύνη και την έρευνα για το Βγενόπουλο.

Σε αυτό το κρίσιμο σημείο, ο δανειοδοτημένος από το Βγενόπουλο ΣΚΑΪ βγάζει το Βγενόπουλο να βρίσει, να συκοφαντήσει, ακόμη και να βουρκώσει μπροστά στις κάμερες, μπας και βρεθούν αυτοί που θα πουν «μα τι εμμονή είναι αυτή με το Βγενόπουλο».

Να ξεκαθαρίσω λοιπόν και στους πονηρούς και στους αφελείς. Δεν υπάρχει καμιά εμμονή με το Βγενόπουλο. Μόνο δημοσιογραφική επιμονή. Αν στην Ελλάδα υπήρχαν αξιοπρεπή Μέσα Ενημέρωσης, δεν θα χρειαζόταν ούτε η δικιά μας επιμονή και ο κόπος. Οι εφημερίδες και τα κανάλια θα έκαναν τη δουλειά τους, θα έψαχναν ή έστω θα έθεταν το ερώτημα «πώς είναι δυνατόν οι Κύπριοι να τον ερευνούν, να προσπαθούν να τον ανακρίνουν, αυτός αν και αθώος να βρίσκει συνεχώς προφάσεις για να το αποφύγει και στην Ελλάδα να είναι Σάββατο μεσημέρι με ήλιο»;

Απ’ ό,τι βλέπετε, δεν κάνουν το αυτονόητο που είναι και καθήκον τους. Έτσι, ό,τι αποκαλύπτεται για τον Βγενόπουλο, θεωρούν πως μπορεί να το καλύψουν με τη σιωπή, με τη μη αναπαραγωγή του. Το κάνουν χρόνια με επιτυχία για κάθε κομμάτι της διαπλοκής. Το κάνουν και τώρα, ακόμη και όταν για τον Ψυχάρη υπάρχει κακουργηματική δίωξη ή για τον Νίκο Γεωργιάδη αποκαλύπτεται η σχέση του με παιδιφιλία. Σιωπή. Ένοχη σιωπή. Σιωπή με σκοπιμότητα. Ντροπιαστική σιωπή για το επάγγελμα του δημοσιογράφου που μοιραία θα κλαίει σε λίγο γιατί αντί να στηρίξει τη δημοσιογραφία στήριζε αφεντικά που καταρρέουν.

Δεν είμαστε ανώμαλοι να σπαταλάμε μήνες για να ψάχνουμε το Βγενόπουλο.

Δεν είμαστε τρελοί για να έχουμε 20 μηνύσεις από τον «αθώο» που δεν τολμά να καταθέσει ούτε ως μάρτυρας στην Κύπρο και να επιμένουμε. Σεβόμαστε τον εαυτό μας, τη δουλειά μας και είμαστε μόνοι. Γι’ αυτό παλεύουμε με επιμονή για να τα μάθει περισσότερος κόσμος μήπως υπάρξει αποτέλεσμα. Γιατί ούτε η δημοσιογραφία είναι οι πληρωμένοι τους λακέδες μόνο, ούτε οι δικαστές τα τσιράκια τους, ούτε οι πολίτες οι δούλοι τους.

Γι’ αυτό χρειάζεται να είμαστε τόσο επίμονοι. Αν υπήρχε δημοσιογραφία στην Ελλάδα, θα ήμασταν απλώς αυτοί που έκαναν μια έρευνα και τη δημοσιοποίησαν για να βρει συνολικά η δημοσιογραφία και οι δημοσιογράφοι την αλήθεια.

Τους συμφέρει να το αποκαλούν εμμονή, πολιτική σκοπιμότητα, εκβιασμό, επίθεση των εξωγήινων, οτιδήποτε μπορεί να δημιουργήσει αμφιβολίες στο κοινό. Δεν μας νοιάζει. Μας ενδιαφέρει να έχει αποτέλεσμα. Και αν κρίνουμε από τη βρωμιά που ρίχνουν πάνω μας, έχει.
