«Είναι το πετρέλαιο, ανόητε…»

Παλιότερα, όταν η Αριστερά ήταν στα πάνω της, θεωρούσε υποχρέωσή της να καταδικάζει τις επεμβάσεις του ιμπεριαλισμού και να στηρίζει προοδευτικές κυβερνήσεις και ριζοσπαστικά κινήματα. Τα κόμματά της έκαναν το διεθνιστικό καθήκον τους.

Οργάνωναν διαδηλώσεις για να υποστηρίξουν το Φαραμπούντο Μαρτί στο Σαλβαδόρ, υπερασπίζονταν τους Σαντινίστας στη Νικαράγουα, που δέχονταν επιθέσεις από τις ένοπλες δεξιές ομάδες, οι οποίες είχαν εξοπλιστεί, εκπαιδευτεί και χρηματοδοτηθεί από τη CIA. Τα χρόνια πέρασαν, μεσολάβησε το κοσμοϊστορικό 1989, η Αριστερά παραμένει διασπασμένη και η καταγγελτική ορμή της έχει υποχωρήσει. Στις μέρες μας, έχει αναλάβει τον ρόλο του προστάτη της δημοκρατίας η Δεξιά.

Ποτέ δεν χώνεψε τη μεγάλη ανατροπή που σημειώθηκε στη Λατινική Αμερική πριν από χρόνια. Οι εκλογικές νίκες των αριστερών μετώπων σε πολλές χώρες της πίσω αυλής των ΗΠΑ ήταν καρφί στο μάτι της. Ο φόβος του μεταδοτικού παραδείγματος τη στοίχειωνε. Τα νέα καθεστώτα έδιναν νικηφόρες μάχες κατά της φτώχειας και του αναλφαβητισμού. Η Δεξιά τα χαρακτήριζε λαϊκιστικά και επικίνδυνα, αλλά δεν μπορούσε να τα υπονομεύσει, γιατί διέθεταν μαζικό λαϊκό έρεισμα.

Οι ντόπιες ολιγαρχίες, με τη βοήθεια του αμερικανικού παράγοντα και την αμέριστη στήριξη των μιντιακών ελίτ (τα περισσότερα μέσα ενημέρωσης ήταν και είναι στα χέρια εκατομμυριούχων), επιχείρησαν με μεθοδικότητα να αλλάξουν τα πράγματα.

Σε αρκετές περιπτώσεις τα κατάφεραν, αξιοποιώντας και τα λάθη των αριστερών κυβερνήσεων. Η Βραζιλία, η Αργεντινή, ο Ισημερινός, έχουν περάσει στο αντίπαλο στρατόπεδο. Τώρα είναι η σειρά της Βενεζουέλας, της χώρας δηλαδή που την περίοδο του Τσάβες λειτουργούσε ως μοντέλο για τις καθημαγμένες μάζες της Λατινικής Αμερικής. Οργάνωσαν πραξικόπημα εναντίον του, επέβαλαν οικονομικές κυρώσεις, αλλά απέτυχαν.

Στήριξαν με κάθε μέσο τις αντιπολιτεύσεις, έστησαν προβοκάτσιες, αλλά ο Τσάβες κέρδιζε τις εκλογές. Τώρα με τον Μαδούρο εκτιμούν ότι η κατάσταση είναι ευνοϊκή. Ο Μαδούρο δεν είναι Τσάβες και τα προβλήματα, εξαιτίας της ανεπάρκειάς του, του αυταρχισμού του αλλά και των δολοφονικών κυρώσεων από τις ΗΠΑ, έχουν διογκωθεί. Η υποστήριξη στο καθεστώς έχει μειωθεί, δεν είναι όμως αμελητέα και γι’ αυτό πολλοί φοβούνται ότι μπορεί να ξεσπάσει εμφύλιος.

Με τη Βενεζουέλα ασχολείται συστηματικά εδώ και καιρό το πολιτικό προσωπικό και τα μέσα ενημέρωσης στην Ελλάδα. Είναι αυτό κακό; Οχι, βεβαίως. Περισσεύει, όμως, η υποκρισία. Η εγχώρια Δεξιά έσπευσε να αναγνωρίσει ως νόμιμο πρόεδρο τον Χουάν Γουαϊδό, ο οποίος αυτοτοποθετήθηκε στη θέση αυτή. Χαρακτηρίζει δικτάτορα τον Μαδούρο και πλέρια δημοκράτη τον Γουαϊδό. Είναι, όμως, έτσι; Μαθαίνουμε στην Ελλάδα όλα όσα γίνονται στη Βενεζουέλα ή υπάρχει επιλεκτική ενημέρωση;

Ο τύπος που υποδύεται τον πρόεδρο ζητάει από τους διεθνείς οργανισμούς να επιβάλουν και άλλες κυρώσεις στη χώρα του, αδιαφορώντας προφανώς για τις συνέπειες που έχουν τα οικονομικά μέτρα στους φτωχούς, καλεί τις ξένες χώρες να μπλοκάρουν στις τράπεζες τα χρήματα της πατρίδας του και εκλιπαρεί βοήθεια από τις φίλες γειτονικές χώρες, δηλαδή εισβολή, και από τον στρατό της Βενεζουέλας, δηλαδή πραξικόπημα.

Ολα αυτά θεωρούνται φυσιολογικά για τη Δεξιά και για ορισμένα μέσα ενημέρωσης. Ομως ξέχασαν (;) να μας πουν ότι την τακτική του Χουάν Γουαϊδό αποδοκιμάζει μια ηγετική μορφή της αντιπολίτευσης, ο πρώην αντίπαλος του Μαδούρο στις προεδρικές εκλογές του 2014, ο Ενρίκε Καπρίλες. Δεξιός είναι ο άνθρωπος, δεν είναι τσαβίστας.

Σε άρθρο του με τίτλο «Ποιος είναι ο εχθρός στην Εθνοσυνέλευση», αποκαλεί «σαμποτέρ» του διαλόγου και των δημοκρατικών διαδικασιών τον Γουαϊδό και όσους τον ακολουθούν, κατηγορώντας τους για ανευθυνότητα, απουσία σχεδίου και παιχνίδια με τη φωτιά. «'Η απλά δεν έχουν την παραμικρή ιδέα για το πώς λειτουργεί η διεθνής πολιτική πραγματικότητα ή είναι εκεί μόνο και μόνο για να σαμποτάρουν την όποια συγκροτημένη πρόταση από όσους από εμάς πιστεύουμε στην εθνική ενότητα και την πολιτική δουλειά», γράφει ο Καπρίλες και αναρωτιέται μήπως «σκοπεύουν να χρησιμοποιήσουν τον λαό ως κρεατομηχανή για να μην αναλάβουν εν συνεχεία την ευθύνη για τον χαμό που ίσως επακολουθήσει».

Και για όσους έχουν την αυταπάτη ότι η καούρα της Δύσης, κυρίως του Τραμπ και της παρέας των ζάπλουτων φίλων του, είναι η επιστροφή της δημοκρατίας (όπως την εννοούν) στη Βενεζουέλα, πρέπει να πούμε ότι αυτό που επιδιώκουν είναι να βάλουν χέρι στα πλούσια κοιτάσματα πετρελαίου της χώρας. Σύμφωνα με τον οίκο αξιολόγησης S&P Global Platts, ανάμεσα «στα άμεσα σχέδια της αυτοανακηρυχθείσης “μεταβατικής κυβέρνησης” είναι η αλλαγή της διοίκησης της Citgo Petroleum Corporation, θυγατρικής της κρατικής πετρελαϊκής PDVSA που παράγει 750.000 βαρέλια την ημέρα, με το 4% του συνόλου να διυλίζεται στις ΗΠΑ».

Κι αν δεν πιάσατε το φωναχτό υπονοούμενο πάρτε και τη δήλωση του συμβούλου ασφαλείας του Τράμπ, Τζόν Μπόλτον: «Θα έχει μεγάλη διαφορά από οικονομικής πλευράς για τις ΗΠΑ αν πετύχουμε τη συμμετοχή αμερικανικών πετρελαϊκών εταιρειών στις επενδύσεις και την παραγωγή πετρελαίου στη Βενεζουέλα». Θέλουν οι… δημοκράτες να κρυφτούν κι η χαρά δεν τους αφήνει.
