Δεν είναι μόνο το πετρέλαιο που θέλουν ΗΠΑ και ΕΕ από τη Βενεζουέλα

Το ακροδεξιό δίκτυο Fox News διέκοψε το πρόγραμμά του για να μεταδώσει την αυτοανακήρυξη του Γκουαϊντό σε «πρόεδρο» της Βενεζουέλας. Στα πρώτα πλάνα που μετέδωσε, όμως, δεν έβλεπες μόνο τον πραξικοπηματία πολιτικό αλλά και φωτογραφίες της… Αλεξάνδρας Οκάσιο-Κόρτες, που εκπροσωπεί το πιο προοδευτικό κομμάτι των Δημοκρατικών στις ΗΠΑ. Το μήνυμα ήταν σαφές, αν αφήσουμε τον Μαδούρο στην εξουσία σύντομα θα έχουμε «σοσιαλισμό» και στις ΗΠΑ, ο οποίος θα οδηγήσει εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους να αναζητούν την τροφή τους στα σκουπίδια.

Η τραγικότητα της συγκεκριμένης σκηνής έγκειται στο ότι ούτε ο Μαδούρο ούτε η Αλεξάνδρα Οκάσιο-Κόρτες είναι σοσιαλιστές. Ο πρώτος, αναζητώντας μια σανίδα σωτηρίας στην κατάρρευση της Βενεζουελάνικης οικονομίας, υιοθέτησε αρκετά νεοφιλελεύθερα μέτρα, «ξηλώνοντας» ορισμένα από τα επιτεύγματα του Ούγκο Τσάβες.

Ακόμη και στα χρόνια του Τσάβες, άλλωστε, ήταν ο ιδιωτικός και όχι ο δημόσιος τομέας που αυξάνοντας με μεγαλύτερους ρυθμούς ως ποσοστό του ΑΕΠ. Όσο για την Κόρτες έχει τολμήσει απλώς να ψελλίσει ότι δεν μπορούν να αφήσουν μια ομάδα δισεκατομμυριούχων να ελέγχουν τις ΗΠΑ.

Δύο πολιτικοί που απλώς επαναφέρουν στην ατζέντα μέτρα και πολιτικές που θα εφάρμοζαν ακόμη και δεξιές και χριστιναοδημοκρατικές κυβερνήσεις στην Ευρώπη της δεκαετίας του ’60, αντιμετωπίζονται πλέον σαν την απόλυτή απειλή που πρέπει αν εξοντωθεί ακόμη και με αιματοχυσία.

To πραξικόπημα, που βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη δεν πραγματοποιείται μόνο για τους προφανείς λόγους του ελέγχου των μεγαλύτερων αποδεδειγμένων πετρελαϊκών κοιτασμάτων στον πλανήτη και της απομάκρυνσης από την περιοχή ρωσικών και κινεζικών επιχειρήσεων που δραστηριοποιούνται στη Βενεζουέλα. Στο παρασκήνιο διεξάγεται μια στρεβλή ιδεολογική μάχη απέναντι σε οποιονδήποτε τολμήσει να χρησιμοποιήσει έστω και ένα τμήμα του κρατικού προϋπολογισμού για να ανασύρει μερικούς από τους πιο εξαθλιωμένους κατοίκους μιας κοινωνίας από την απόλυτη εξαθλίωση.

Αυτή ακριβώς η απειλή απέναντι στα προγράμματα λιτότητας έκανε την ΕΕ να σπεύσει να στηρίξει το πραξικόπημα. Και για αυτό η μάχη για τη Βενεζουέλα είναι και μια μάχη για την Ευρώπη και την Ελλάδα.
