Νέες ενδείξεις

του system failure

Όλο και περισσότερες ενδείξεις, όλο και πιο γρήγορα, βγαίνουν στην επιφάνεια για το γεγονός ότι βιώνουμε μια πρωτοφανή μετάλλαξη του καπιταλισμού μέσω της υπερ-αυτοματοποίησης. Μια μετάλλαξη που εξηγεί σε μεγάλο βαθμό το τεράστιο πρόβλημα της ανεργίας που αντιμετωπίζει σχεδόν στο σύνολό του ο Δυτικός κόσμος.

Απ'ότι δείχνουν τα πράγματα, σε αυτή τη μετάλλαξη πρωτοστατούν οι εταιρίες υψηλής τεχνολογίας, οι οποίες δεν φαίνεται να ανησυχούν ιδιαίτερα για την πρωτοφανή μείωση της καταναλωτικής ισχύος σε πολλές χώρες της Δύσης, αφού το άνοιγμα των αγορών σε Κίνα, Ινδία, Βραζιλία, καθώς και στις χώρες της ΝΑ Ασίας, προσφέρει νέες τεράστιες δεξαμενές καταναλωτών.

Το χειρότερα κρυμμένο μυστικό της Apple και του κατασκευαστή της Foxconn στην Ταϊβάν δεν είναι οι κακές συνθήκες εργασίας. Δεν είναι καν το γεγονός ότι χρησιμοποιούν ρομπότ για την συναρμολόγηση όλων των κομματιών του iPhone. Είναι ότι τα ρομπότ τους, πραγματοποιούν όλο και περισσότερες ανθρώπινες λειτουργίες.

Η μητρική εταιρία της Foxconn, Hon Hai, σχεδιάζει την κατασκευή 10.000 ρομπότ γραμμής συναρμολόγησης, που θα καλύψουν την παραγωγή του πολυαναμενόμενου iPhone 6. Ο Terry Gou, διευθύνων σύμβουλος της Hon Hai, αποκάλυψε σε ένα πρόσφατο συμβούλιο των μετόχων, ότι η Apple θα είναι ο πρώτος πελάτης των ρομπότ που κατασκευάστηκαν πρόσφατα από την Foxconn.

Ορισμένοι άνθρωποι της αγοράς πιστεύουν ότι τα ρομπότ μπορούν να αναλάβουν και την παραμικρή λεπτομέρεια κατασκευής ίσως και μέσα στα επόμενα πέντε χρόνια. Άλλοι αναλυτές υποστηρίζουν ότι αυτή η τάση προς την υπερ-αυτοματοποίηση μεταμορφώνει τις αγορές σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο και ότι η τάση αυτή αυξάνεται γρηγορότερα απ'ότι συνειδητοποιούν οι περισσότεροι. Πολλοί λένε ότι μέσα στις δύο επόμενες δεκαετίες δεν θα υπάρχει τίποτα που να μην μπορούν να κάνουν τα ρομπότ καλύτερα από τους ανθρώπους.

Η μετατόπιση προς την αυτοματοποίηση, αναμφίβολα θα επιφέρει μεγάλα πλεονεκτήματα στην παραγωγή των εταιριών, αλλά αυτό θα επιφέρει ταυτόχρονα και ένα αυξανόμενο ρίσκο απωλειών θέσεων εργασίας.

Ο Larry Summers, πρώην υπουργός οικονομικών επί κυβέρνησης Κλίντον και νυν διν/της του Εθνικού Οικονομικού Συμβουλίου της κυβέρνησης Ομπάμα, προβλέπει ότι η τεχνολογία θα έχει μια προφανή επίπτωση στον μέσο εργαζόμενο. Θα υπάρχουν όλο και λιγότερες ευκαιρίες για εργασία, ιδιαίτερα για το ανειδίκευτο εργατικό δυναμικό.

Οι εργασίες στις αποθήκες θα αυτοματοποιηθούν πλήρως τα επόμενα δύο χρόνια. Δεν το βλέπει σχεδόν κανένας, γιατί οι αποθήκες δεν είναι μέρη στα οποία πάει κάποιος συνήθως.

Ο Γιάννης Βαρουφάκης υπήρξε αυτόπτης μάρτυρας της νέας κατάστασης και έγραψε αυτό που είδε σε ένα πρόσφατο άρθρο:

“Αν και στην αρχή δεν το πρόσεξα, μετά από λίγα λεπτά συνειδητοποίησα ότι κάτι έλειπε από αυτό το εργοτάξιο: οι άνθρωποι! Για την ακρίβεια, μέτρησα τρεις. Και οι τρεις τους, με τα κράνη και τη στολή προστασίας, ήταν μαζεμένοι σε ένα μικρό γραφείο εξωτερικού χώρου πάνω από μια συστάδα υπολογιστών, σκεπασμένοι από τέντα που θύμιζε στρατό ξηράς. Δέκα μπουλντόζες, τρεις γερανοί και καμιά δεκαριά άλλα κινούμενα εργαλεία, τουλάχιστον όσο μπορούσα να διακρίνω, κινούνταν μόνα τους γύρω τους. Άνευ οδηγών, χειριστών, εργατών εν γένει.”

“Όταν επέστρεψα στο γραφείο, πήγα κατευθείαν να βρω συνάδελφο που γνωρίζει καλά τα τεκταινόμενα. Με πληροφόρησε ότι το εργοτάξιο που παρατήρησα είναι το νέο εργοστάσιο της Apple όπου θα παράγονται τα MacBook Pro. Και, ναι, η κατασκευή του έχει αυτοματοποιηθεί σχεδόν ολοκληρωτικά. Τα υλικά έχουν επιλεχθεί με τρόπο που αυτόματα μηχανήματα, ρομπότ δηλαδή διασυνδεδεμένα μεταξύ τους μέσω intranet (τοπικού ασύρματου δικτύου), να μπορούν να συναρμολογούν χωρίς την ανθρώπινη παρέμβαση – ακόμα και τα υδραυλικά του κτιρίου θα τα τοποθετούν υδραυλικοί-ρομπότ. Ένα εργοτάξιο που κανονικά θα απασχολούσε χιλιάδες εργαζόμενους λειτουργεί με την παρουσία λιγότερων από εκατό ψυχές.”

“Τον ρώτησα για την απόφαση της Apple να παραγάγει υπολογιστές στην Αμερική, επαναπατρίζοντας την παραγωγή από την Κίνα για πρώτη φορά μετά από δεκαετίες. 'Πώς κι έτσι;'. Η απάντηση ήταν αναμενόμενη, αλλά, παρ' όλα αυτά, άκρως συγκλονιστική: 'Οι μισθοί δεν έχουν πλέον καμία σημασία. Η εξαγωγή παραγωγικών διαδικασιών από την Αμερική προς την Κίνα (το off-shoring) δεν ήταν παρά ένα ενδιάμεσο στάδιο. Η παραγωγή επέστρεψε στην Αμερική. Όχι όμως και οι θέσεις εργασίας. Το νέο εργοστάσιο της Apple όχι μόνο κατασκευάζεται χωρίς τον ιδρώτα Αμερικανών εργατών αλλά και θα παράγει τα MacBook Pro πλήρως αυτοματοποιημένα, χωρίς να προσληφθούν Τεξανοί. Καλώς όρισες στον Νέο, Γενναίο Κόσμο' κατέληξε χαμογελαστά, αναφερόμενος προφανώς στο Brave New World του Άλντους Χάξλεϊ.”

Φαίνεται ότι η Ελλάδα, αλλά και άλλες χώρες, όπως η Ισπανία, με πρωτοφανή ποσοστά ανεργίας, αποτελούν τα πειραματόζωα στα οποία τεστάρονται οι συνθήκες αυτού του "θαυμαστού νέου κόσμου"!

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’
