Αναζητώντας απεγνωσμένα μια αφορμή

Πτήση MH-17: Άλλο ένα τραγικό συμβάν προς εκμετάλλευση

του system failure

Είναι δύσκολο να πει κανείς τι είναι πιο τρομακτικό: Η ασυγκράτητη βούληση της Δύσης να εκμεταλλευτεί οτιδήποτε μπορεί να παρασύρει τη Ρωσία σε ένα θερμό επεισόδιο, ή, η υποκρισία της κάθε φορά που χάνονται ανθρώπινες ζωές;

Μέσα σε 24 ώρες από την τραγική πτήση ΜΗ-17, πολλοί Αμερικανοί αξιωματούχοι έσπευσαν να ευθυγραμμιστούν με την Ουκρανική κυβέρνηση, βασιζόμενοι σε "αποδείξεις" που βγήκαν στην επιφάνεια με εκπληκτική ταχύτητα. Ενώ σε άλλες περιπτώσεις οι Δυτικοί υποκριτές "συνιστούν ψυχραιμία" και υποδεικνύουν προς πάσα κατεύθυνση να μην βιάζεται να βγάζει συμπεράσματα, αυτή είναι μια περίπτωση που παραβιάζουν εντελώς την ίδια τους την πολιτική-συμβουλή προς τους άλλους.

Άσχετα με το τι θα δείξει τελικά το πόρισμα για το ποιος ευθύνεται για την κατάρριψη του αεροπλάνου των Μαλαισιανών αερογραμμών, αν βγει τελικά αξιόπιστο πόρισμα, οι Δυτικές αντιδράσεις δείχνουν ότι οι ΗΠΑ και οι σύμμαχοί τους προσπαθούν να εκμεταλλευτούν κάθε ευκαιρία για να προκαλέσουν τον Πούτιν.

Μια από τις πρώτες, αναμενόμενες, αντιδράσεις, ήρθε από την Χίλαρι Κλίντον, που έσπευσε να κατηγορήσει τους φιλο-Ρώσους και τον Πούτιν. Η αντίδραση αυτή είναι επίσης μια καλή ένδειξη ότι η Χίλαρι θέλει απεγνωσμένα να διαδεχθεί τον Ομπάμα στην προεδρία των ΗΠΑ και άρα προσπαθεί να ικανοποιήσει τον "σκληρό πυρήνα" των νεοσυντηρηρικών στην Ουάσιγκτον.

Από την άλλη, φαίνεται ότι οι νεοσυντηριτικοί πιέζουν ασφυκτικά τον Ομπάμα να εκμεταλλευτεί τέτοια περιστατικά προκειμένου να εντείνει την αντιπαράθεση με τη Ρωσία. Αυτό εξηγεί σε μεγάλο βαθμό και τον λόγο που δέχεται ασταμάτητα πυρά εντός των ΗΠΑ, καθώς προσπαθεί να τελειώσει τη θητεία του με "καθαρά χέρια".

Ο τρόπος που αντιδρούν ορισμένοι στην Ουάσιγκτον, δείχνει ότι οι "συνήθεις ύποπτοι", εμπνευστές και θιασώτες του παλιού, αλλά και του νέου ψυχρού πολέμου, είναι αυτοί που κινούν και πάλι τα νήματα. Άνθρωποι όπως ο Χένρι Κίσινγκερ, και ο Ζμπίγκνιου Μπρεζίνσκι, που έχουν δείξει τις προθέσεις τους στο παρελθόν σε πολλές περιπτώσεις σε όλο τον πλανήτη και είναι σχεδιαστές και φορείς της πιο σκληρής Αμερικανικής πολιτικής.

Όμως, εκτός των άλλων, το τραγικό συμβάν με την πτήση MH-17, έδωσε την ευκαιρία στα Δυτικά κυρίαρχα ΜΜΕ να αφήσουν τη Γάζα για λίγο, ακριβώς την στιγμή της Ισραηλινής χερσαίας εισβολής. Ήταν μια μεγάλη ανακούφιση, καθώς δεν είναι πλέον υποχρεωμένα να εστιάζουν αποκλειστικά στα όσα συμβαίνουν στη Γάζα. Ο θάνατος ανθρώπων σε άλλη μια τραγωδία, χρησιμοποιήθηκε και για λόγους αποπροσανατολισμού από άλλο ένα μεγάλο έγκλημα στη Γάζα ...

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on.
