Μήπως τελικά παίζουμε το παιχνίδι τους;

Το σύστημα ενδεχομένως εκμεταλλεύεται το γεγονός ότι ζητήματα όπως η ανεργία, οι παρακολουθήσεις, ο έλεγχος του πληθυσμού, ή, ακόμα και η πιθανότητα ενός πυρηνικού πολέμου, γίνονται όλο και πιο δημοφιλή (viral) στο διαδίκτυο

Είναι πραγματικά εκπληκτικό το πως η ανεξάρτητη πληροφορία που διακινείται μέσα στο διαδίκτυο, άλλαξε την ισορροπία μεταξύ της μη ελεγχόμενης πληροφόρησης και της απόλυτα ελεγχόμενης πληροφόρησης που φτάνει στον μέσο θεατή από τα συστημικά ΜΜΕ. Χιλιάδες ανεξάρτητα μπλογκς και ιστοσελίδες φιλοξενούν πληροφορίες, αναλύσεις και γνώμες οι οποίες θα είχαν αποκλειστεί σε περίπτωση που δεν είχε εφευρεθεί ακόμα το διαδίκτυο.

Παρόλα αυτά, είναι αλήθεια ότι και στο διαδίκτυο διακινείται αρκετή παραπληροφόρηση και προπαγάνδα, καθώς τα συστημικά ΜΜΕ συμμετέχουν και αυτά στον "διαδικτυακό πόλεμο" της πληροφόρησης, ή, λόγω του ότι υπάρχουν ανεξάρτητες πηγές που προωθούν την δική τους μυστική ατζέντα. Ωστόσο, κάποιος έχει τουλάχιστον την δυνατότητα να βρει μια εναλλακτική προσέγγιση για πολλά ζητήματα, διαφορετική από αυτή που προωθείται από τους "επίσημους διαύλους" του κυρίαρχου - Δυτικού προς το παρόν - συστημικού κατεστημένου.

Αυτός είναι πιθανόν και ο λόγος που οι κυβερνήσεις προσπαθούν να βρουν τρόπους ελέγχου του διαδικτύου και επομένως της ροής πληροφορίας από κάθε πηγή προς κάθε αποδέκτη.

Ωστόσο, σε πολλές περιπτώσεις, οι κυβερνήσεις, ή, άλλα συστημικά κέντρα αποφάσεων, εκμεταλλεύονται το διαδίκτυο, καθοδηγώντας την κοινή γνώμη και την ανεξάρτητη κρίση προς την πλευρά της "επίσημης ερμηνείας" των γεγονότων και αυτό δεν γίνεται μόνο μέσω της ροής παραπληροφόρησης στο διαδίκτυο, αλλά και μέσω άλλων μεθόδων, όπως για παράδειγμα, το λεγόμενο "τρολλάρισμα":

Άλλα πόσο χρήσιμο θα μπορούσε να γίνει το μη-ελεγχόμενο κομμάτι του διαδικτύου σε περίπτωση που το σύστημα θα ήθελε να προετοιμάσει το κοινό για πρωτοφανή γεγονότα;

Ένα τέτοιο παράδειγμα θα μπορούσε να είναι η πληροφορία ότι η ανεργία ήρθε για να μείνει λόγω της υπερ-αυτοματοποίησης. Καθώς αυτή η πληροφορία γίνεται "viral" μέσω της αυξανόμενης αναπαραγωγής της στο διαδίκτυο και πολλοί από εμάς συζητάμε ένα ανάλογο θέμα σε διάφορα μπλογκς και ιστοσελίδες, οι άνθρωποι θα συνηθίσουν τελικά στην ιδέα ότι το ποσοστό της ανεργίας θα είναι αναπόφευκτα υψηλό από εδώ και στο εξής και ότι θα πρέπει να ζουν από τα επιδόματα του κράτους, απλώς και μόνο για να επιβιώνουν και να καταναλώνουν, στην καλύτερη, βέβαια, περίπτωση.

Εξάλλου, τίθεται και ένα σοβαρό ζήτημα στο κατά πόσο ανεξάρτητη είναι η πληροφόρηση, καθώς σε πολλές περιπτώσεις, διάφορες ανεξάρτητες ιστοσελίδες, απλώς αναπαράγουν την πληροφορία που "διαρρέει" από τα συστημικά ΜΜΕ, ή, από πηγές που τα ίχνη τους οδηγούν σε κάποιον συστημικό "επίσημο δίαυλο".

Σε αυτή την περίπτωση, ένας τέτοιος "επίσημος δίαυλος", μπορεί να εισάγει μια πληροφορία στο διαδίκτυο, η πληροφορία να γίνει "viral" και τελικά, οι άνθρωποι να αρχίζουν να συνηθίζουν στην ιδέα των πιο ακραίων και τρομακτικών σεναρίων, όπως για παράδειγμα, μιας πυρηνικής σύγκρουσης, ή, μιας ακραίας απόπειρας ελέγχου του πληθυσμού. Φυσικά, αυτό είναι μόνο μια θεωρία, άλλη μια "θεωρία συνωμοσίας" αν προτιμάτε. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, ορισμένες φορές το σύστημα μπορεί να εκμεταλλευτεί την ειλικρινή πρόθεση των ανεξάρτητων μπλόγκερς να διαδώσουν την αλήθεια.

Δεν υπάρχει, βέβαια, εναλλακτική οδός. Δεν θα μπορούσαμε ποτέ να επιστρέψουμε στη "λίθινη εποχή" του μονοπωλίου των συστημικών ΜΜΕ. Υπάρχει πραγματικά ανεξάρτητη πληροφόρηση και θα πρέπει πάντα να την αναζητάμε και να την διαδίδουμε. Αλλά θα πρέπει επίσης να έχουμε πάντα στο νου ότι, οτιδήποτε γίνεται "viral" μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για να μας “εκπαιδεύσει” να αποδεχόμαστε το αδιανόητο. Αρκεί να δούμε τις εικόνες φρίκης από τη Γάζα, την Ουκρανία, τη Μέση Ανατολή και άλλα μέρη του πλανήτη, που κατακλύζουν καθημερινά το διαδίκτυο και τα συστημικά ΜΜΕ. Τείνουν να γίνουν τόσο συνηθισμένες, που κινδυνεύουμε στο τέλος να μεταμορφωθούμε σε απαθή ζόμπι ...
