Journey to Aleppo: exposing the truth buried under NATO propaganda

The Syrian people are suffering under the ‘moderate rebels’ and ‘opposition forces’ backed by the US, NATO member states and their allies in the Gulf states and Israel. Yet their suffering is largely ignored in the mainstream media unless it furthers the agenda dictated by the State Department. This article is the first in a two-part series of one Western journalist’s journey to Aleppo, a city ravaged by an insurgency supported by the United States, NATO member states, and their allies in the Gulf states and Israel. In Part I, Vanessa Beeley lays out the mainstream narrative on Syria, revealing a neoconservative agenda promoted by NATO-funded NGOs. These NGOs paint the destruction of the historic city as being caused by the Syrian government under Bashar Assad, not the violent armed insurgents which receive arms, funding and training from Western governments and their allies.

NO EURO International Forum

The Coordination brings together political parties and popular movements that consider non-negotiable principles of freedom, social equality and brotherhood among peoples. This is why we oppose the neo-liberal globalization, which is based on dogmas that are at opposite: replacement of democracy with the despotic rule of an oligarchic elite, cult of savage competition and increasing social injustice, suppression of national sovereignty in favor of imperial regimes. The European Union, with its single currency, represents the most advanced and dangerous attempt put in place by these oligarchic elites. The European Union irreversible crisis pushes the dominant classes to sharpen the austeritarian and anti-people policies. There is no way to reform this reactionary and imperialist Union. It must be dismantled, supporting all the social emancipation movements. Our Coordination is considered a place to discuss possible alternatives to globalization and to the E

Your vote for Jill Stein is not a wasted vote

“ There are differences between the two candidates and the parties. But those differences aren’t enough to save your job.” by Kevin Gosztola When Jill Stein ran as the Green Party’s presidential nominee in 2012, media attention to her candidacy was rare. Now, with two of the most unpopular presidential candidates in history, she has received widespread attention. There seems to be record interest in third party campaigns, including Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson. The Nation published a debate between Socialist Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant and Nation contributor Joshua Holland. The editors gave Sawant’s column the negative headline—”Don’t Waste Your Vote On the Corporate Agenda—Vote for Jill Stein and the Greens”—but column does not hinge on loathing Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Rather, it makes a positive case for supporting Stein by primarily arguing the need for progressives to build an alternative to the two pro-capital
