People of Venezuela just proved again that common US sabotage operations are not effective anymore

globinfo freexchange Since Hugo Chavez era, the US empire has tried every dirty trick against the socialist governments in Venezuela. From continuous economic sabotage to funding provocative operations of the right-wing opposition, and of course, unlimited propaganda by the Western mainstream media. After the constitutional coup against Dilma Rousseff in Brazil, Nicolas Maduro is last barrier to be removed in the rοw of some key Latin America countries, so that the Empire will take back full control of its backyard. The dirty war against Venezuela becomes wilder and wilder since Chavez decided to put back under state control the oil industry. Which means that the US big oil cartel is primarily behind the common sabotage operations (that we've seen so many times in past especially in Latin America) against Venezuelan government. It's not rocket science. Recall that, a document under the title VENEZUELA: AMERICAN OIL AND SERVICE COMPANIES ENG

American liberals and neocons unite to push war in Ukraine

In the U.S. Russia-hating liberals are joining the neocons in seeking more war in Ukraine, as the prospects for a rational and peaceful resolution to the crisis continue to fade. by James W. Carden Part 1 Last January, Sen. John McCain led a delegation along with his longtime sidekick, Sen. Lindsey Graham, to a contingent of Ukrainian troops not far from the front line in eastern Ukraine. In the presence of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Graham told the soldiers: “ Your fight is our fight … 2017 will be the year of offense. All of us will go back to Washington and we will push the case against Russia. ” McCain promised the assembled troops, “ we will do everything we can to provide you with what you need to win. ” When contemplating the long careers of the two Republican senators, it is hard to escape the conclusion that McGeorge Bundy’s quip about the famed Cold War columnist Joe Alsop – that he had “ never known him to go to any area where blood co

Britain: How do we make Corbyn's speech a reality?

Part 8 - Terrorism and Foreign Policy Corbyn rightly pointed out that the plague of terrorism has been spread by imperialist interventions. He said Britain must “ put our values of peace and cooperation into foreign policy ”. He said a Labour government would oppose entirely the Saudi war against Yemen, and condemn Aung San Suu Kyi’s government’s ethnic cleansing of Rohingya muslims. Again, this is all correct. But how do we successfully implement this? Corbyn suggested appealing to the UN to organise conflict resolution. But the UN is completely impotent, depending as it does for all its power on the imperialist powers of the world. When the US wanted to invade Iraq, it ignored the UN and the UN could do nothing. And Saudi Arabia currently chairs the UN Human Rights Council, and in April of this year the UN elected Saudi Arabia to serve on the UN Commission on the Status of Women, a body “ dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment

Dear truck drivers: capitalism is your real enemy, not robots!

Millions of truck drivers around the world are considered the next "species for extinction" from the working class, as many predict their replacement by trucks without drivers. Once again, however, the enemy is not among the machines. globinfo freexchange Forty years will be passed in a few months since the release of "Convoy" by Sam Peckinpah - one of the few productions that had transferred to the big screen not the content of a book, but that of a song. Bill Fries' same title "Convoy", tells the story about a rebellion of a group of truck drivers crossing the US from the West to the East Coast without stopping at police and national guard controls. Despite the fact that the song and the film are two digestible products of the new American Country and that of anti-Westerns school in which Sam Peckinpah had specialized, they manage to capture the effects of the first major crisis of the capitalist system after WWII
