Donald Trump fired his national security adviser, John Bolton, on Tuesday just as John Kiriakou predicted in an article published June 12 on Consortium News . The activist group Code Pink held a rally in front of the White House to celebrate. It’s not as though Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for running the most hawkish American official out of power (though when Barack Obama won his, he had arguably done even less), but Trump has taken an important step toward fulfilling campaign promises to not get the U.S. into even deeper military involvement in the world.
