Despite global condemnation and the Palestinian resistance's acceptance of a ceasefire proposal, Israel began a ground invasion of Rafah where 1.4 million displaced Palestinians are taking refuge.
Throughout its bombardment of Gaza, Israel has forcibly evacuated Palestinians further south, originally designating Rafah a ‘safe zone.’ Israeli tanks entered Rafah Tuesday, sealing off the crossing with Egypt, cutting off all aid, and trapping Palestinians as it carpet bombs the besieged city.
