Cyprus Thought It Was “Just Israeli Investment” – Until it Wasn't

KernowDamo   Cyprus was warned. They said it couldn’t happen here. Then an Israeli developer was sentenced to five years — for doing exactly what they denied. Right, so they said it was overthinking. They said Cypriots were being dramatic. They said that concerns about Israeli land buying on the island, in light of the land and property seizures observed in Palestine were paranoid nonsense, it couldn’t happen here and that anyone raising the alarm about such things just didn’t understand how investment works and might perhaps just be an antisemite.    And then a Cypriot court sentenced an Israeli businessman to five years in prison for developing property in the Turkish-controlled north that still legally belonged to Greek Cypriots displaced in 1974. An Israeli stealing land for development in Cyprus then is it?    Suddenly the hysteria didn’t look so hysterical. Suddenly the warnings didn’t look so wild. The thing people were told could never happen had already...

Mossad ‘in contact from very beginning’ with killers of Italian PM, reporter reveals

A roving reporter who covered Italy’s top politicians explains to The Grayzone how his country was reduced to a joint US-Israeli “aircraft carrier,” and raises troubling questions about an Israeli role in the killing of Prime Minister Aldo Moro.   by Kit Klarenberg and Wyatt Reed   Part 6 - Moro rescue committee set up to fail   Throughout Moro’s 55 days in Red Brigades captivity, Italian officials declared that the “state must not bend” to “terrorist demands,” making it clear the Italian government would neither negotiate with the Red Brigades nor release any of its jailed members in return for the PM. The former Italian Prime Minister was subsequently bundled into a car trunk, shot 10 times, and left in the vehicle in central Rome for authorities to find. Today, many Italians view Rome’s inflexible approach with deep suspicion, given the government’s willingness to negotiate with terrorists both before and after Moro’s murder. Magistrate Mario Sossi, whose kidnap by the...

Hi-Tech Holocaust: How Microsoft Aids The Gaza Genocide

Israel’s genocide is being powered by Microsoft. From creating a massive digital dragnet, aiding in the production of A.I.-generated kill lists, hiring hundreds of Israeli spies to run its internal affairs, and suppressing figures opposing the slaughter, the Seattle-based tech corporation has played a key role in the violence.   by Alan Macleod    Part 1   MintPress has detailed the deep collaboration between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Amazon, Google, TikTok, Apple, Palantir, and Oracle, but Microsoft’s relationship with the government and armed forces of Israel is potentially the closest, leading then-CEO Steve Ballmer to state that “Microsoft is as much an Israeli company as an American company.”    MintPress explores the decades-long partnership between Microsoft and Israel, and the employees trying to break that marriage from the inside.  Source, links: https://www.mintpressnews.com/microsoft-israel-surveillance-azure-idf-gaza-genocide/...

Trump Is DESTROYING His Own Legacy – And For What?!

The Jimmy Dore Show   In this segment Jimmy Dore and guest Jackson Hinkle assess Donald Trump’s second terms so far, arguing that he has betrayed many of his campaign promises by expanding military spending, enforcing new censorship laws, and escalating foreign interventions. They contend that Trump has acted against free speech principles, supported Israeli and corporate interests, and failed to end the Ukraine war or reduce U.S. involvement abroad. Hinkle highlights U.S. aggression toward Venezuela, Colombia, Haiti, and other nations, claiming that Trump’s policies mirror those of previous presidents like Biden and Obama. Both conclude that Trump’s administration represents the continuation of American imperialism rather than the reform or restraint he once promised.
