June 11, 2013: Neoliberal dictatorship shuts down the Hellenic Public Broadcaster in one night!

One of the worst moments of Greece in the post-junta period One year from the announcement of the Hellenic Public Broadcaster (ERT) shutdown today. It came completely unexpectedly by the Greek governmental representative Simos Kedikoglou. With an incredibly arrogant style which refers directly to a representative of a fascist regime, mister "Goebbels" of the domestic governmental troika (now transformed in two-party coalition after withdrawal of Dimokratiki Aristera), announced the extermination - in just one day - of ERT, and got rid of its 2656 employees, in order to satisfy the outside troika lenders - who demanded more and more blood – and the domestic big media owners directly connected for years with the two-party establishment PASOK and Nea Dimokratia who brought country in this mess, in order to serve exclusively their own interests.

Barroso administration: Golden medal in serving interests A research by the Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) “ Through the course of the crisis, attempts by corporations and corporate lobby groups to influence EU policies have probably been more successful than ever, in part due to a close relationship with the Commission.” “ Corporate Europe Observatory has gathered a lot of evidence over time and covering many different areas that shows how the Commission is easily captured by corporate interests. This report is an attempt to produce a condensed version of how the Commission has come to act on behalf of corporations over the past five years, focusing on climate policies, agriculture and food, finance, economic, and fiscal policies.” 7 - The citizens initiative: Mock participatory democracy – an experiment dead in the water? Key findings “ The way the Commission answered the European Citizens Initiative (ECI) on the Right to Water is another example of

Greece heading for national elections?

Neoliberal government weaker than ever tries to impose predetermined conditions by system failure Recent euro elections gave a clear historical win for the Left in Greece. The main Leftist party SYRIZA have won by a difference nearly 4 pc and this was an alarming fact for many inside and outside Greece. The neoliberal government will try to avoid possible national elections soon, but this would not be very easy since the term of the Greek presidency ends in February 2015 and any person suggested for the presidency will require at least 180 votes from the parliament. It is almost certain that SYRIZA will try to block the suggested person by the neoliberal government, which is weaker than ever with minimum support in the parliament, and therefore, very difficult to collect the required number of votes. The next possible steps by Samaras administration will be to change the electoral law and impose predetermined conditions for a possible future Leftist government.
