Ας μιλήσουμε λοιπόν για τον Ιάσονα Πιπίνη

Στην ελληνική δημοσιογραφία υπάρχει μια ιδιότυπη ομερτά. Οι δημοσιογράφοι δεν ασκούν κριτική σε συναδέλφους τους, ακόμη και όταν γνωρίζουν ότι διακινούν ψευδείς πληροφορίες εξυπηρετώντας συγκεκριμένα συμφέροντα.

Ομολογουμένως ο έλεγχος θα έπρεπε να γίνεται από εξειδικευμένα όργανα, όπως το πειθαρχικό της ΕΣΗΕΑ, ή από πρωτοβουλίες πανεπιστημιακών ή της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, όπως τα παρατηρητήρια (media watch) που υπάρχουν σε άλλες χώρες.

Όταν όμως δημοσιογράφοι μπαινοβγαίνουν σε κυβερνητικά πόστα, ο έλεγχός τους γίνεται και επισήμως καθήκον όλων των υπολοίπων δημοσιογράφων.

Η περίπτωση του Ιάσονα Πιπίνη ανήκει σε αυτή την κατηγορία. Δυστυχώς τα περισσότερα σχόλια που κυκλοφόρησαν στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης τον παρουσιάζουν σαν γραφικό ή ακόμη και αφελή, με αποτέλεσμα η κριτική να μεταφέρεται από τις δικές του πράξεις στην απόφαση του πρωθυπουργού να τον προσλάβει ως σύμβουλο.

Η εικόνα αυτή οικοδομείται εδώ και χρόνια. Οι προηγούμενες επιθέσεις από το site aixmi.gr, (του δημοσιογράφου Χρήστου Παναγιωτόπουλου – πρώην Διευθυντή Ειδήσεων και Ενημέρωσης του Mega), το οποίο χαρακτήριζε τον Πιπίνη σαν «πυροβολημένο αγωνιστή της επαναστάσεως» φάνηκε να ενισχύουν αυτή την εικόνα της αφέλειας. Και αυτό παρά το γεγονός ότι στο συγκεκριμένο άρθρο υπήρχαν καταγγελίες για τηλεφωνήματα (από ποιόν;) που γίνονταν στο σταθμό προκειμένου να μην απολυθεί ο δημοσιογράφος, ακόμη και όταν υπήρχαν καταγγελίες για διαστρέβλωση ειδήσεων.

Ο Πιπίνης όμως δεν είναι αφελής. Το γεγονός ότι είναι ανιψιός του πρώην προέδρου του Περού, Χουάν Βελάσκο Αλβαράδο, μιας εμβληματικής προσωπικότητας της λατινοαμερικανικής αριστεράς που συνεργάστηκε με τον Φιντέλ Κάστρο, τον Σαλβαδόρ Αλιέντε και τον Ούγο Τσάβες, του άνοιξε διάπλατα τις πόρτες σε αρκετά προεδρικά μέγαρα στη Νότια Αμερική.

Αυτό που δε γνώριζαν οι συνεντευξιαζόμενοί του, ήταν ότι σταδιακά τα ρεπορτάζ του άρχισαν να μεταφέρουν αυτούσιες θέσεις του Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ, οργανώσεων και κομμάτων που χρηματοδοτούνται από τις ΗΠΑ, ή ανθρώπων που ενεπλάκησαν σε κρατικά και παρακρατικά δίκτυα παραπληροφόρησης (η περίπτωση της μαφιόζικης επίθεσης Ραχόι εναντίον των Podemos).

Σχεδόν σε όλα τα κείμενά του ο Πιπίνης φροντίζει να προσθέτει τη φράση «σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες της αντιπολίτευσης», ενώ σχεδόν πάντα συναντάμε και τη λέξη «φερόμενος». Αυτό δεν δικαιολογεί όμως τη διαρκή διασπορά πληροφοριών, οι οποίες είτε διαψεύδονται άμεσα είτε δεν επιβεβαιώνονται ποτέ.

Αυτές οι φήμες ήταν συχνά ο πρώτος κρίκος σε μια μακρά αλυσίδα παραπληροφόρησης, που στήθηκε στην Ελλάδα από πολιτικούς και δημοσιογράφους που πρόσκεινται στη ΝΔ. Πρόκειται για μια από τις πιο σκοτεινές στιγμές της ελληνικής δημοσιογραφίας, καθώς οι λεγόμενες «πηγές» έδιναν αφορμή για να σπιλωθούν πολιτικά κόμματα, κινήματα και πολιτικοί, όχι μόνο στη Βενεζουέλα αλλά και στην Ελλάδα.
