Biden said Trickle Down economics has never worked, but guess who else said that before and what happened

Forget the fact that it took him about forty years to realize that one of the biggest neoliberal fairy tales is essentially the utter fraud. Not to mention that, all these years, he became part of the failed neoliberal system. That, he was faithfully following orders from the wealthy donors,  efficiently sustaining this utter fraud and other neoliberal deceptive policies, to protect their interests.

 

"Uncle Joe" suddenly discovered that Trickle Down economics has never worked and made the statement to a joint session of US Congress as if he had discovered an earth-like planet with a technologically advanced civilization.

 

This is one of the most suitable cases for someone to respond with the phrase: "No shit, Sherlock".

Yet, the weirdness of this parody doesn't end here. It's even funnier the fact that someone else before "Uncle Joe" made this great "discovery". And it took another big crisis to realize it (or admit it publicly). And he was the man who was promoted by the liberal establishment as the "new" who will bring hope for the US working class. And he was the head of the administration in which "Uncle Joe" served as vice-president. And his name is ... Barack Obama.

 

What did Obama do to fight the Trickle Down fraud? Essentially nothing. In fact, he did much more to boost it rather than abolish it.

 

Not only he enabled and encouraged roughly 9 million foreclosures. Not only he saved the corrupted banks and made them bigger. He actually reinforced corporate monopolies too. So much for the "big hope" of the working class.

Under Obama, income inequality grew bigger and the gab between the richest and the working class/poorest Americans, widened. The Obama administration was such a big disappointment for the US working class that the Democrats lost to a right-wing demagogue in 2016. And the funniest picture was the shocking faces of the mainstream liberal gurus who were wondering what happened and couldn't accept it.

Finally, it took another big crisis (a health crisis this time), and an awful response by Donald Trump who failed to deal with it efficiently, to return America back to the neoliberal norm with "Uncle Joe". Biden's victory was a big relief for the liberal capitalists who took back America from their capitalist rivals.

 

And now, "Uncle Joe" came back (as president this time), to "discover" again the same thing that Obama already "discovered" about a decade ago, in order to convince you that he will fight for the working class. We are talking about the man who, according to his record, could be easily placed further to the right of the "moderate Republican" Obama. Do you seriously believe him?
