It's over: corporate neoliberal pseudo-Left takes over Sanders' "Our Revolution" - Time for a third, grassroots party
Back to zero. Back to the corrupted, failed, obsolete, destructive neoliberalism. US corporate establishment played every dirty game to get rid of Bernie Sanders and take over Justice Democrats and Our Revolution. They did it.
The rebranding of Our Revolution into "pragmatic progressives" is all you need to know to understand that the corporate power has eventually crushed the progressive momentum. The neoliberal component of the corporate America, the Clintonian machine and the establishment of the Democratic party is actually giving the finger to the progressive movement. It tells progressives to sit down and be quiet. No significant change is going to come.
The message is brought to you by the most official channels of the neoliberal establishment:
Rather than insisting on “Medicare for All” — Sanders’ trademark universal, government-funded health care plan — or the climate-change-fighting Green New Deal, Our Revolution is focusing on the more modest alternatives endorsed by President Joe Biden. Those include expanding eligibility for the existing Medicare program and curtailing federal subsidies for fossil fuel companies. The group says it wants to make sure Biden keeps his promises on those and other top issues.
The corporate, neoliberal, pseudo-Left, pseudo-alternative dogs, like TYT, are out there to do the dirty job: make sure to bury forever any chance for a real progressive revival inside the corrupted Dems.
Note again that the obsolete, corporate neoliberal stooge, Joe Biden, refuses to take the critical step for Medicare for All in the midst of a horrible pandemic, which the US and the "advanced" West still struggling to control.
We already mentioned that Biden's victory was a disaster for the real Left in the United States. The Biden liberal loyalists, aka corporate Dems, will now demand from all wings to comply with their terms. Including "The Squad" and every other single progressive.
And as we wrote right before the 2020 election, with a potential Biden victory the corporate Dems will re-establish their position in the party against progressives, as they will be able to play the Trump-scare card for four more years. During that time, they will get all the help they want from the liberal media to bury forever the most popular Socialist policies. Simply by claiming that the Trump nightmare could return in 2024. Therefore, they will demand "unity" from all party members under their own terms, in short, under full restoration of the neoliberal status quo.
The official channels of the neoliberal establishment will use covert psy-ops to discourage a further-to-the-Left shift of the Democratic party, as can be seen in the example below:
The shift reflects a progressive movement that is at a crossroads. Biden won the Democratic nomination last year by offering more centrist alternatives to much of Sanders’ agenda. Since then, progressive candidates have faced a series of electoral disappointments and are contending with anxiety from moderate Democrats worried that the party’s leftward shift could cost them control of Congress during next year’s midterm elections.
Yet, what the establishment can't fix, is the fact that progressive candidates have demonstrated that you don't need corporate money to get elected. That is, you don't need to be inside the establishment political duopoly to get elected. In fact, the American people more and more realize that real change will come through a grassroots third party, which would be completely free from the corporate control.
We've already mentioned it: it's impossible to transform the DNC beast and bring real changes for the benefit of the US working class through the Democratic party. It will take a grassroots Socialist party, completely detached from the corporate America, or, a Socialist revolution.
