US imperialists are about to get what they wanted from Russia's invasion of Ukraine

In our 2014 article The big barrier called Putin, we concluded:

What was left to do, for the moment, is to challenge Putin in order to drag Russia in an endless attrition war in East Ukraine and this explains to a degree Putin's hesitation to act like he did in Crimea. Against Russian army, of course, the West will not risk to put an organized military force, but only teams of mercenaries of private armies, as already did. It is certain, however, that, despite that the global economic oligarchy has lost valuable time because of its wrong moves, it will not give up its plans for Russia easily ...

After almost eight years, the US imperialists and the NATO criminals got what they wanted. They finally managed to drag Russia into a war with Ukraine.

For eight years, the NATO criminals were provoking Russia by arming the far-right and neo-nazi militia groups who also infiltrated in the Ukrainian army and operate in East Ukraine against Russian populations. At the heart of the war, these groups continue to operate by targeting civilians in East Ukraine. The Western media propaganda machine never mentioned the ethnic cleansing operations against Russian populations, and even now, they blame only the Russians for all civilian casualties.

Under these conditions, the Minsk agreements was impossible to implement.

As all that time Russia was also occupied with the war in Syria, it would be almost impossible to open the Ukrainian front too. Yet, finally, the US imperialists pulled their best card to force Putin take military action against Ukraine. They put again on the table the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO through their puppet Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Russia's last red line was violated and Putin saw the invasion of Ukraine as the only option left.

It is almost certain that Putin understood that the US imperialists and their allies wanted to drag Russia into an endless attrition war, that's why he designed a full-scale operation, hoping to take the whole Ukraine under full control in a few days in order to impose his own terms. It seems that he had a Blitzkrieg in mind, in order to surprise the West, end the war very quickly with minimum casualties.

Yet, while the war still goes on, it seems that the US imperialists already got most of what they wanted.

They managed to turn all their European allies against Russia by forcing them to participate in the heaviest sanctions ever.

They forced Germany to cancel (at least for now) the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, which means that the US companies in the liquefied natural gas market will see a significant rise in their profits.

They saw neutral Finland and Sweden thinking of joining NATO.

They saw former progressives being transformed into the most hawkish neocons, and promoters of the US military-industrial complex interests by demanding military action against Russia!

Which means that the corporate Democrats (a key element of the US imperialist machine) eliminated any remnants of progressiveness inside their corrupted party, just as they planned.

We should pray for this war to end as soon as possible, not only for the end of human suffering. But also because if Putin start to realize that he is stuck in the Ukrainian swamp and run out of options, he will probably not hesitate to open the utter gates of hell. And this would mean the elimination of the entire human race.
