Florida GOP Senator Marco Rubio took note of the announcement that a number of nations around the globe, including some very powerful ones, are planning to go off the petrodollar and use other currencies as international mediums of exchange. If that happens, Rubio observes, the United States will lose virtually all its ability to threaten and otherwise terrorize “rogue” states with economic sanctions.
