Cold War 2.0: New evidence that the US are trying to surround China

Japan to ease military restrictions since World War II “ The Japanese government says it will push ahead with plans to ease restrictions on its military, which have kept it from fighting abroad since World War II.” “ Under the constitution’s Article 9, Japan’s military is banned from taking any military action except when the country is under attack. But the new plan will increase the country’s military options and allow its armed forces to fight on behalf of Tokyo’s allies.” “ The move, however, was not welcomed in the country, with a recent poll showing that 58 percent of respondents are against a more aggressive military stance. ” Source: http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2014/06/30/369258/japan-to-go-ahead-with-military-reform/ “ Unfortunatelly, there are indications that this may be possible. According to latest information, Washington proceeds in actions to surround China as well. It is not accidental that these revelations come aft

The start of the police privatization?

Coming soon: Private NSAs not obliged to give information about their activities even when they kill “ As part of the American Civil Liberties Union’s recent report on police militarization, the Massachusetts chapter of the organization sent open records requests to SWAT teams across that state. It received an interesting response.” “ As it turns out, a number of SWAT teams in the Bay State are operated by what are called law enforcement councils, or LECs. [...] Some of these LECs have also apparently incorporated as 501(c)(3) organizations. [...] According to the ACLU, the LECs are claiming that the 501(c)(3) status means that they’re private corporations, not government agencies. And therefore, they say they’re immune from open records requests. ” “ These agencies oversee police activities. They employ cops who carry guns, wear badges, collect paychecks provided by taxpayers and have the power to detain, arrest, injure and kill. They operate SWAT teams, which condu

Prisons of “type C”: A new test field in the Greek experiment

The neoliberal government attempts to steal the "glory" of the US police state through unprecedented measures in the next bill After dissolving labor rights and a first attempt to criminalize protests, the Greek government is preparing new, unprecedented measures to strengthen the police state, through the so-called prisons of "type C". Speaking on the radio station "In Red," Ioanna Drosou, member of the "Initiative for Prisoners' Rights", revealed the main points of the bill concerning the prisons of "type C". The first thing someone should notice, is that no change is predicted on the buildings of the new prisons. One would expect that new prisons of "special type", should satisfy special standards. However, the only thing that will change in existing prisons, or in sectors of existing prisons, is their name as prisons of "type C". Inmates planned to be jailed in those prisons, will be

Hillary for president in the middle of Cold War 2.0

A nightmare scenario “ The former First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State no doubt concurs with the nineteenth century French politician who said (more or less): 'If a person is not a socialist at 20, he has no heart. If he is still a socialist at 50 he has no head.' Of course, idealism is impractical, an unaffordable luxury for career politicians, who must learn to play ball with the powers that be if they wish to survive in public life.” “ Marrying Bill Clinton and moving to Arkansas, Hillary Rodham learned the art of compromise, beginning her own metamorphosis into the corporate entity, HRC. When Clinton ran for president in 1992, kicking off a long national soap opera, HRC learned to lie in public on venues like Sixty Minutes.” “ During her first term in office [Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC)] voted for every bellicose bit of war legislation the Bush administration saw fit to ram down the throats of the American people in the wake of 9/11: military actio
