Germany's Pro-Israel "Left"


How did the German left end up defending genocide, occupation, militarism, and apartheid — all in the name of antifascism?

In this hard-hitting follow-up episode, hosted by Johannes Fehr of MERA25 Germany, the twisted rise of the Anti-Deutsche (Anti-German) ideology — a fringe but powerful current within the German left that unconditionally backs Israel’s violence and silences any critique of its apartheid policies, labeling it as antisemitism, is exposed. Yuval Gal Cohen, an Israeli anti-Zionist activist from Jewish-Israeli Dissent, JID Leipzig, and Udi Raz, a Jewish activist from Jewish Voice for Just Peace in the Middle East, break down how memory politics and imperial alliances have corrupted antifascism, leaving no room for dissent. This isn't just about Germany — it’s about the hollowing out of the left across Europe and the urgent need to reclaim solidarity, truth, and radical resistance.

Palestine has been the ultimate litmus test for the Western left. The German left has not only isolated itself from global resistance movements but has actively become complicit in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. In its blind defense of militarism, war crimes, and relentless attacks on the rights of both German and foreign citizens, it has betrayed its own principles. The real question is: Can this self-serving left ever claim moral ground again, or will it remain a hollow force, irrelevant and complicit in the machinery of oppression?
