China on Thursday accused Israel of violating international law through its blockade of Gaza and urged the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
Speaking at a public hearing on Israel’s legal obligations in the occupied territories, Chinese representative Ma Xinmin said the suffering of Palestinians had persisted for over half a century and that the denial of aid now amounted to “collective punishment.”
Without naming the United States, Ma criticized unilateral actions that undermine multilateral efforts, calling on the international community to uphold the authority of the United Nations and reaffirm the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
