What Trump asked from Putin behind the scenes

We can easily guess what is Trump's most deep, secret desire at this critical moment in the global geopolitical battlefield: to reverse the ongoing strengthening of the Sino-Russian alliance and achieve some first cracks on the currently solid bond between China and Russia.

In the tough bargain above Ukraine, we can guess that Trump promised to accept Putin's terms and asked a gradual distancing from China together with a re-approach with the US, as an exchange.

We don't know if Putin's references to "common enemies" in the past, the geographic proximity between Russia and US and the historic bonds, or, common interests in the economic field, have something to do with this Trump desire. Yet, it is difficult to imagine that anyone could even indirectly dictate Putin what to say in an official statement.

It is most probable that Putin made a statement with the typical references for such an occasion.

Besides, Putin is very far from being so naive to believe that any US president is looking for an honest relationship between US and Russia on the basis of mutually beneficial deals.

And that's not only because of the terrible record of previous US administrations, consisted of tons of lies and deception against US rivals and even allies. It's also because of a ruthless economic system that has completely prevailed in the West - a mutated capitalism that has evolved into a 21st century corporate feudalism. This system knows nothing about ethics, or mutually beneficial agreements. It wants to grab land (therefore resources necessary for the rising technologies) fast and by all means.

Putin knows it, Xi Jinping knows it, which means that the only way to keep their countries in one piece, against the Western biggest corporate vultures, is to strengthen ties and escape from the dollar prison, completely and permanently.

Besides, it was Trump himself the one who admitted openly (and foolishly), that he wants to drag Russia away from China and break the Sino-Russian front.

Therefore, we can assume that Putin gave to Trump a promise for some deals, in order to calm him temporarily, until he locks a final victory with his terms in Ukraine.
