Indications
that, after Golden Dawn, the systemic establishment is planning a
similar operation for the Left in Greece
by system
failure
For the
first time, the SYRIZA Leftist party in Opposition in Greece clearly
precedes in recent polls concerning potential national elections in
the country. The government knows very well that there is nothing
left to do in order to reverse its negative picture and therefore it
is possible to accelerate the application of new cruel measures, as
lenders demand. Recent statements from Schäuble - Daiselbloom,
through which they sent a message one more time to Greece, that "more
things need to be done", are not accidental.
Together
with the tactics of "artificial destruction" through which
the systemic establishment is planning to give a more or less,
destroyed country to those who will replace current government, it
also tries to begin a "retouch" operation for the Left in
Greece. The purpose is to force the Left to abandon "radical"
intentions which threaten the system, a kind of "domestication"
of the Left, and this shows that there are probably some hidden polls
and estimations according to which SYRIZA precedes by a higher
percentage.
SYRIZA's
different approach stands against neoliberal reforms in Europe and
recognized not only in Greece, but also abroad by many people. These
reforms were adopted also by the social democrats in Europe as
necessary and inevitable. An example of this recognition is Leo
Panitch's analysis speaking at the REAL NEWS network
(http://adiritos.blogspot.gr/2014/01/syriza-succeeds-in-greece-by.html).
Panitch supports that because of this different approach, SYRIZA now
precedes in all polls while the neoliberal parties of the government
coalition are losing power.
It seems
that, the European economic-political elites worry that SYRIZA may
become an example for the Leftist parties of Europe on the oncoming
euro-elections in May. This could start a "domino effect"
of undesirable and uncontrolled rise of a totally opposed to the
neoliberal policies Left in Europe.
All these
explain the move of Adonis Georgiades, Minister for Health, MP with
the Right-wing neoliberal government party Nea Dimokratia, who
actually spoke about a potential cooperation with SYRIZA "for
the benefit of the country" setting the terms of course, as well
as a specific poll published by "Ethnos", one of the
biggest newspapers in Greece, according to which, nearly six out of
ten people stated that they want to see a compromise between the
Right and the Left in order to govern through a new coalition.
It is also
not accidental that, lately, the systemic "journalists" of
the mainstream media in Greece treat SYRIZA MPs more "gently",
since especially the most famous journalists play of course a central
role in this operation concerning the "domestication" of
the Left.
It appears
that on the other hand, SYRIZA leader, Alexis Tsipras, is trying to
gain some time and convince that he is willing to follow more
systemic-friendly policies to calm Berlin in order to stay alive from
the war against him in case that SYRIZA will lead an anti-memorandum
government.
In a nearly
destroyed country, delivered by the current government, any potential
new political coalition which will be called to govern, will have to
deal with extremely difficult problems and will be very hard not to
retreat to pressure and not to compromise. However, history has shown
that, those who try to compromise and increasingly retreat to
continuous pressure, finally slip towards the side of the systemic
establishment which gradually absorbs them.
The Left in
Greece and Europe must show that is determined to give an alternative
solution to societies, retaining its basic principles and fighting
against neoliberal policies. The oncoming euro-elections is a big
opportunity to prove this.
