FairCoin: Ένα κρυπτονόμισμα για τη δίκαιη οικονομία

Ένα εναλλακτικό, ψηφιακό, οικολογικό νόμισμα με στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός μετα-καπιταλιστικού μοντέλου. Αυτή είναι η βασική ιδέα πίσω από το κρυπτονόμισμα FairCoin, που δημιουργήθηκε με σκοπό την προώθηση της ισότητας και της οικονομικής δικαιοσύνης.

Η ιστορία ξεκίνησε το 2010 στην Καταλονία ως πείραμα μιας μικρής ομάδας ακτιβιστών και κατέληξε τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2014 με τη «γέννηση» της FairCoop -ενός αποκεντρωμένου κινήματος βάσης, ενός διεθνούς συνεταιρισμού που αυτοοργανώνεται μέσω διαδικτύου- που απλώθηκε στις πέντε ηπείρους και στη συνέχεια, δημιούργησε το FairCoin.

Με άλλα λόγια, το FairCoin είναι το κρυπτονόμισμα που η FairCoop επέλεξε για να στηρίξει νομισματικά τη δημιουργία του αυτοδιαχειριζόμενου κοινωνικοοικονομικού συστήματος της, συνεπώς δεν έχει τίποτα κοινό με το bitcoin ή, όποιο άλλο από τα γνωστά κρυπτονομίσματα που φέρουν τις «αρχετυπικές», «παραδοσιακές αξίες» του καπιταλισμού, όπως, για παράδειγμα, τη διαρκή προσπάθεια φοροαποφυγής.

Το FairCoin βασίζεται σε ένα ομότιμο και αποκεντρωμένο δίκτυο συναλλαγής με προστασία κρυπτογράφησης, εξού και δε μπορεί να θεωρηθεί χρεόγραφο με την καθιερωμένη νομική/χρηματοοικονομική έννοια.

Ο καινοτόμος μηχανισμός block-block της Proof-of-Cooperation (PoC) είναι ένας μοναδικός αλγόριθμος συναίνεσης που αναπτύχθηκε για το FairCoin. Απαιτεί πολύ λιγότερη ενέργεια από άλλα blockchains και επιπλέον, επιτρέπει ταχύτερες συναλλαγές.

Έγινε το πρώτο κρυπτονόμισμα που δεν χρειάζεται εξόρυξη -η «εξόρυξη» (mining) ή κοπή (minting) είναι δύο συστήματα που βασίζονται στον ανταγωνισμό- καθώς διαμοιράστηκε ισότιμα, προκειμένου να προωθηθεί η όσο το δυνατόν μεγαλύτερη οικονομική ισότητα και όχι οι οικονομικές δυνατότητες. Και ακριβώς επειδή δεν χρειάζεται εξόρυξη, έχει χαρακτηριστικά που το καθιστούν κατάλληλο για αποταμίευση χρημάτων με πολύ χαμηλό οικολογικό κόστος.

Η FairCoop ξεκίνησε διανέμοντας 50 εκατομμύρια νομίσματα. Συγκεκριμένα, 50.000.000 faircoins δημιουργήθηκαν το Μάρτιο του 2014, και μεταξύ 6 - 8 Μαρτίου διανεμήθηκαν μέσω μιας διαδικασίας μαζικών προσφορών, που ονομάζεται «εναέρια ρίψη», με ρυθμό 1.000 FairCoins/ώρα σε όποιον υπέβαλε αίτηση.

Από τότε, υπήρξε ένα μικρό ποσοστό αύξησης μέσω της αποταμίευσης, ώστε να φτάσει σήμερα στα 52 εκατομμύρια περίπου.

Τον Δεκέμβριο του 2017, η FairCoop αποφάσισε να ορίσει την επίσημη ισοτιμία του νομίσματος στο 1 ευρώ, η οποία πλέον είναι στο 1,20 ευρώ.

Όπως εξηγεί η κοινότητα «το οικοσύστημα της FairCoop και η ομάδα ανάπτυξης του FairCoin είναι αφοσιωμένα στο χτίσιμο μιας δίκαιης οικονομίας από τα κάτω, πέρα από τα όρια του καπιταλισμού και των κυβερνήσεων».

Βασικές προϋποθέσεις για τη δημιουργία ενός πραγματικά δίκαιου συστήματος για όλους είναι κατά τη FairCoop η συνεργασία, η ηθική, η αλληλεγγύη και η διαφάνεια.

Η κοινότητα λαμβάνει αποφάσεις σε ανοιχτές συνελεύσεις που γίνονται μία φορά τον μήνα, στις οποίες η συμμετοχή και η υποβολή προτάσεων είναι ελεύθερη. Οι συναντήσεις γίνονται τόσο online -σε διεθνές επίπεδο- όσο και με φυσική παρουσία -στους τοπικούς κόμβους.

Οι συναλλασσόμενοι μπορούν να αγοράσουν προϊόντα και υπηρεσίες από ένα δίκτυο τοπικής και παγκόσμιας αγοράς.

Στην Ελλάδα λειτουργούν τρεις Τοπικοί Κόμβοι οι οποίοι είναι ανοικτοί προς όλους όσοι θέλουν να γνωρίσουν περισσότερα, να αποκτήσουν τα πρώτα τους FairCoin και σταδιακά να συμμετάσχουν πιο ενεργά:

- Τοπικός Κόμβος Ηρακλείου (Κρήτης) – heraklion@fair.coop

Οι κόμβοι αυτοί χρησιμοποιούνται από ανεξάρτητους παραγωγούς και συλλογικότητες. Επί της ουσίας πρόκειται για μία ανοιχτή συνεταιριστική ιδέα καθώς ο καθένας μπορεί να είναι μέλος της FairCoop απλά δημιουργώντας το δικό του ηλεκτρονικό κατάστημα με αγαθά και υπηρεσίες στο on-line Fair Market.
