Trump's failure to start a civil war in Venezuela could be proved disastrous for the plans of the US imperialists

by system failure

Donald Trump and his bloodthirsty warhawks are about to break the record of failed attempted coups against a single country. Concerning Latin America, the US imperialists were setting the desirable conditions for their corporate beasts usually by overthrowing governments and supporting military dictatorships.

But Trump himself has already broken another record. The record of not keeping his promises to the American people - every one of them. The 'anti-interventionist', 'anti-establishment' Trump, has already started a war against Venezuela, which so far includes brutal economic sanctions, sabotage operations, attempted coups. Trump not only does whatever he can in order to satisfy the US neocon/neoliberal establishment and the deep state, but especially in the case of Venezuela, he follows the obsolete CIA playbook to the letter.

So, after a series of failed orchestrated coups, Trump's warhawks attempted to start a civil war in Venezuela by mobilizing both of their puppets, Juan Guaido and Leopoldo Lopez. This latest attempt failed again miserably as the Venezuelan military generals and the vast majority of the military have pledged their loyalty to Maduro, one more time.

So, 'naturally', the only option left for the US imperialists is a military invasion against Venezuela. The typical sequence followed in these cases.

However, it appears that this latest option will come with a very heavy cost, which the US imperialists and their Western allies can't handle.

First of all, Trump may lose the opportunity for a second term. A number of Trump's supporters already express their disappointment, as they see that the US president has failed to fulfill his promises. That is, create jobs, prevent mass layoffs, reduce taxes for the middle class. If he follows the warhawks into another disastrous invasion - especially against a country that by no means poses a threat to the US - instead of focusing on the enormous problems of the US middle class, he will likely see his popularity dropping rapidly.

This will force the US deep state to accelerate plans for a second invasion against Iran, because Trump's warmongering cabinet may not be there under another president after 2020. Yet, this would be a complete madness. The wounded US beast can't handle two major wars in different continents thousands of miles away, even if the Sino-Russian bloc remain neutral, which is almost impossible.

But even if Trump manage to survive and win a second term, the war against Venezuela will not be a piece of cake. It is not just the military supporting Maduro. Millions of Chavistas across the country are ready to take the arms in order to defend the Revolution and their country from a US imperialist invasion. It will be almost impossible for the neocons to focus on Iran with the Venezuela front open, causing heavy loses in lives and money. Not to mention of course the reaction of the Russians and the Chinese.

An alternative option for the moment would be a proxy war against Venezuela. It could be organized by the CIA, using a mixture of mercenaries and US puppet governments like the ones in Brazil and Colombia.

Still, with the support of the military and millions of Chavistas inside the country, as well as, the support of Russia and China, Maduro would likely win again.

It is perfectly understandable why the US imperialist warhawks are pushing so hard for regime change in Venezuela. They are running out of time and they are very far behind the schedule.

But the neocon/neoliberal establishment has one more reason to be nervous: a possible big surprise in the 2020 US election, with an 'undesirable' person as the next US president that will destroy its plans for good.

  2. maybe endless confusion, disorder and chaos is the aim? Winning' is nice, but unneccessary, The effect on the US middle class is irrelevant to those benefitting from the chaos. Order takes energy, chaos saps opponents energy. I haven't looked, but I bet there is order and security wherever the oil is shipped from!

is about 20% and you are lucky to see $15.00
an hour...full time work VERY rare now to...

Headlines like this cause massive cognitive
dissonance among the sheep on the streets
so the suicides and drug use and learned
    helplessness you see are unsurprising...
