Ruthless Donald Trump proves he could even provoke a civil war in his effort to maintain power

Latest completely absurd Trump tweet against the 'Squad', demonstrates how ruthless and dangerous he is. Trump tweeted:

The “Squad” is a very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart. They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left, and were against humanitarian aid at the Border...And are now against ICE and Homeland Security. So bad for our Country!

Trump found a way to regroup his far-right base by attacking the four progressive Democrats, in order to boost his stagnating popularity. But the absurdity of his latest tweet is beyond imagination. While he has been proved to be the most racist president in the modern US history, he accuses the most progressive group of congresswomen of being racists!

Why did he choose now to escalate the war against progressives?

As we approach 2020 presidential election Trump's attacks will becoming more frequent and harder. That's because his policies so far are nothing else but the typical neoliberal norm. The usual policies that aim to protect the interests of the oligarchy, while leaving the majority of the Americans to struggle to survive in an already dead welfare state. Trump will use such attacks to distract voters from his failed policies.

Trump will also use such attacks to distract the American public from his systematic effort to escalate tensions with Iran in order to find a pretext for another US invasion. Behind the scenes, his warmongering criminal cabinet is trying to find ways to justify another war.

Through this ruthless tactic, however, Trump makes the most progressive Democratic quartet, a target for the white supremacists and far-right racists.

On the one hand, we have the conservative part of the American society. A significant portion has been brainwashed to believe that the immigrants are the primary cause for the loss of jobs and the rising criminality. These people are moving fast towards the ultra-conservative far-right of the political spectrum.

On the other hand, we have a progressive base, consisting mostly from young Americans. The base is growing bigger, making the leftist faction of the Democratic party more and more popular.

So, we now have a clear ideological gap in the American society, which grows bigger day by day. Instead of trying to close it, as he ought to, Trump is doing everything he can to divide the Americans further, in his effort to maintain power. Trump has lighten a match inside a room full of explosives. A single spark could be proved enough to trigger a civil war in the United States.
