Δέκα δηλώσεις του Γιούνκερ για τις οποίες θα έπρεπε να ντρέπεται το ΑΠΘ

Μια μαύρη σκιά θα κουβαλά στην ιστορία του το ΑΠΘ ύστερα από την απόφαση του Πρύτανη, κ. Περικλή Μήτκα, για την αναγόρευση του Προέδρου της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, Ζαν Κλοντ Γιούνκερ, σε επίτιμο διδάκτορα της Νομικής Σχολής του πανεπιστημίου.

Ο άνθρωπος που, ως πρωθυπουργός του Λουξεμβούργου, επέβλεπε μια από τις μεγαλύτερες επιχειρήσεις ξεπλύματος μαύρου χρήματος στη σύγχρονη ιστορία της Ευρώπης έχει μετατραπεί και σε έναν από τους σημαντικότερους εχθρούς της δημοκρατίας στην Ευρώπη. Και το ΑΠΘ αποφάσισε να συνδέσει το όνομά του μαζί του.

Δέκα παλαιότερες δηλώσεις του το αποδεικνύουν:

1) «Η νομισματική πολιτική είναι σοβαρή υπόθεση. Πρέπει να συζητάμε για αυτήν μυστικά στο Γιουρογκρουπ […] Δεν έχω πρόβλημα να κατηγορηθώ ότι δεν είμαι επαρκώς δημοκρατικός [..] είμαι υπέρ των μυστικών, σκοτεινών διαπραγματεύσεων».

2) «Δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει δημοκρατική επιλογή απέναντι στις ευρωπαϊκές συνθήκες».

3) «Πρέπει να ψηφίσετε ΝΑΙ (στο δημοψήφισμα) όποιο και αν είναι το ερώτημα».

4) «Συχνά, ληστές τραπεζών και λαθροκυνηγοί είναι οι καλύτεροι αστυνομικοί» (σε ερώτηση για τις σκοτεινές φορολογικές συμφωνίες στις οποίες ήρθε με την Amazon και άλλες πολυεθνικές όσο ήταν πρωθυπουργός του Λουξεμβούργου (κ πρόεδρος του Γιούρογκρουπ).

5) «Όλοι ξέρουμε τι πρέπει να κάνουμε. Απλώς δεν ξέρουμε πως να επανεκλεγούμε αφού το κάνουμε».

6) Αποφασίζουμε για κάτι (την δημιουργία του ευρώ) και το αφήνουμε στην άκρη για να δούμε τι θα συμβεί. Αν κανένας δεν κάνει φασαρία, αφού οι περισσότεροι δεν κατανοούν τι αποφασίσαμε, συνεχίζουμε βήμα προς βήμα έως ότου φτάσουμε σε ένα σημείο όπου δεν θα υπάρχει επιστροφή».

7) «Αν ψηφίσουν ΝΑΙ (στο γαλλικό δημοψήφισμα για το ευρωσύνταγμα) θα πούμε «ωραία συνεχίζουμε», αν ψηφίσουν ΟΧΙ, θα πούμε συνεχίζουμε».

8) Φυσικά και θα υπάρχει μεταφορά εθνικής κυριαρχίας (με τη συνθήκη της Λισαβόνας). Είναι όμως σώφρων να το επισημάνουμε στην κοινή γνώμη;

9) Όταν τα πράγματα σοβαρεύουν πρέπει να λες ψέμματα (για την οικονομική κατάρρευση της Ελλάδας το 2011).

10) «Το ευρωπαϊκό κοινοβούλιο είναι γελοίο».

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique.
