Η Ουκρανία και οι άνθρωποι πίσω από ένα δημοφιλές βίντεο

Πρόκειται για ένα βίντεο με μια ιδιαίτερα όμορφη νεαρή Ουκρανή που καταδικάζει την κυβέρνηση. Το βίντεο διαδόθηκε με εκπληκτική ταχύτητα και στην Ελλάδα από τα κυρίαρχα ΜΜΕ. Ποιοι είναι όμως αυτοί που το σκηνοθέτησαν; Ο Άρης Χατζηστεφάνου από την εκπομπή του infowar αποκάλυψε ορισμένα ενδιαφέροντα στοιχεία:

“Η κοπέλα της ιστορίας μας παρουσιάζει την Ουκρανική κυβέρνηση του Γιανουκόβιτς σαν μία βάρβαρη δικτατορία που πυροβολεί και σκοτώνει διαδηλωτές. Γεγονός το οποίο, αν και αποτελεί τη μισή μόνο αλήθεια, δεν είναι σε καμία περίπτωση ψέμα.”

“Εμείς, ως αφελείς παρατηρητές, θα μπορούσαμε να υποθέσουμε ότι πρόκειται απλώς για ένα καλογυρισμένο βιντεάκι με καλό φωτισμό, τέλειο ήχο και όλες τις τεχνικές προδιαγραφές που θα ζήλευε μια μεγάλη παραγωγή.”

“Με μια έρευνα μερικών δευτερολέπτων στο ίντερνετ λοιπόν, διαπιστώσαμε ότι ο σκηνοθέτης του συγκεκριμένου βίντεο λέγεται Μπεν Μόουζες (Ben Moses), και ήταν ένας από τους συν-δημιουργούς της ταινίας “Good Morning, Vietnam”. Για την ιστορία, κατά τη διάρκεια του πολέμου στο Βιετνάμ, ο Μόουζες υπηρέτησε πραγματικά στο ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό της Σαϊγκόν τον οποίο περιγράφει και στην ταινία του. Ήταν μάλιστα στο ίδιο στούντιο με τον Άντριαν Κρονάουερ (Adrian Cronauer), τον αληθινό εκφωνητή, τον οποίο υποδύεται στην ταινία, ο Ρόμπιν Γουίλιαμς (Robin Williams).

Ο σκηνοθέτης μας βέβαια, θα περάσει το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της θητείας του, όχι στο Βιετνάμ, αλλά με το να υποδέχεται Κουβανούς αντικαθεστωτικούς που εγκατέλειπαν το νησί.

Στη συνέχεια, τον βρίσκουμε να φτιάχνει τα διαφημιστικά βιντεάκια της General Electric και να συνεργάζεται με ορισμένους από τους μεγαλύτερους τηλεοπτικούς σταθμούς των ΗΠΑ.

Και κάπου εδώ, φαίνεται πως ξεκινούν και οι κακές παρέες, που θα τον φέρουν στη μεγάλη αγκαλιά της Αμερικανικής κυβέρνησης, να φτιάχνει βιντεάκια με τους αντικαθεστωτικούς της Ουκρανίας, της Βενεζουέλας και άλλων “ενοχλητικών” καθεστώτων.”

“Είπαμε μερικές προσωπικές και ενδεχομένως ασήμαντες ιστορίες για τον σκηνοθέτη του [βίντεο]. Φτάνουμε όμως στη στιγμή που κάνει την επαγγελματική συνάντηση της ζωής του. Γνωρίζει τον κύριο Λάρυ Ντάιμοντ (Larry Diamond).

Πιθανότατα δεν τον γνωρίζετε όπως δεν τον γνωρίζαμε και μεις μέχρι πρότινος. Το βιογραφικό του όμως, θα σας συναρπάσει, γιατί ο κύριος Ντάιμοντ έχει εργαστεί για το Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ, τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη, την Παγκόσμια Τράπεζα, το ίδρυμα Ρούσβελτ, το ίδρυμα Χούβερ και την κυβέρνηση μαριονέτα που εγκατέστησε η Ουάσιγκτον στο Ιράκ αμέσως μετά την εισβολή.

Κυρίως όμως συνεργάζεται τώρα, με το διαβόητο ίδρυμα National Endowment for Democracy (NED), το Εθνικό Ταμείο για τη Δημοκρατία. Πρόκειται για το ταμείο που δημιούργησε ο Ρόναλντ Ρήγκαν το 1982 με έναν και μοναδικό στόχο όπως έλεγε: να κάνει αυτά που δεν μπορούσε να κάνει η CIA. Την ημέρα που το ίδρυσε βέβαια, το 1982, ήταν λίγο πιο μαζεμένος στις δηλώσεις του.”

“Το Εθνικό Ταμείο για τη Δημοκρατία, έπιανε δουλειά. Άρχισε να εμφανίζεται στα πιο περίεργα σημεία του πλανήτη. Πρόσφερε όπως έλεγε και ο Ρήγκαν, ελπίδα σε πολλούς και διάφορους ανθρώπους.

Το 1984 λόγου χάρη, πρόσφερε ελπίδα στον δικτάτορα του Παναμά Μανουέλ Νοριέγκα, ο οποίος τύχαινε να είναι και πράκτορας της CIA. Το 1990, έδωσε ελπίδα και μαζί 9 εκατομμύρια δολάρια στην Δεξιό υποψήφιο της Νικαράγουα, Βιολέτα Τσαμόρο (Violeta Chamorro), η οποία τελικά κέρδισε και τις εκλογές.

Από το 1990 και μετά, έδινε ελπίδα σε αντικαθεστωτικές οργανώσεις του Ιράν και από το 1992 χρηματοδοτούσε αντικαθεστωτικούς και στην Κούβα. Και ύστερα, άρχισε να βοηθάει αντικαθεστωτικούς και ΜΚΟ στην Ουκρανία, τη Γεωργία, τη Σλοβακία, τη Σερβία, το Μαυροβούνιο, τη Β. Κορέα και την Κίνα.

Και φυσικά, το Εθνικό Ταμείο για τη Δημοκρατία, δεν δούλευε ποτέ μόνο του. Μετά την εισβολή στο Αφγανιστάν, το πεντάγωνο κατάφερε να τοποθετήσει στρατιωτικές βάσεις σε σειρά χωρών της κεντρικής Ασίας. Σε αυτό, που ορισμένοι αποκαλούν “μαλακό υπογάστριο” της Ρωσίας.

Εντελώς συμπτωματικά, η μία μετά την άλλη, οι χώρες της περιοχής, γνώριζαν εξεγέρσεις, που ανέτρεπαν ή απειλούσαν τα αυταρχικά, φιλορωσικά καθεστώτα της Κεντρικής Ασίας. Εντελώς συμπτωματικά επίσης, οι εξεγέρσεις αυτές χρηματοδοτούνταν από ΜΚΟ, που συνοδεύονταν με Αμερικανικά ιδρύματα, όπως το USAID, το International Republican Institute, το National Democratic Institute for International Affairs και το Freedom House.

Για να μην τις μπερδεύουν μάλιστα, οι διοργανωτές έδιναν σε κάθε μία από αυτές τις εξεγέρσεις και από μια κωδική ονομασία από ένα λουλούδι, ή ένα χρώμα. Στη Γεωργία είχαμε την “επανάσταση των ρόδων”, στην Ουκρανία την “πορτοκαλί επανάσταση”, κ.ο.κ.

Πρόκειται, σε κάθε περίπτωση, για γνήσιες λαϊκές εξεγέρσεις, οι οποίες εξέφραζαν και τεράστια τμήματα του πληθυσμού. Εξεγέρσεις όμως οι οποίες είναι αμφίβολο εάν θα πετύχαιναν χωρίς μια μικρή βοήθεια από το εξωτερικό. Και αυτή τη μικρή βοήθεια φαίνεται ότι λαμβάνει το τελευταίο διάστημα και η εξέγερση, ή, ο εν δυνάμει εμφύλιος της Ουκρανίας.”

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that.
