Νέα "γκρίνια" μεταξύ των συμμάχων ΗΠΑ και Γερμανίας με αφορμή την Κούβα

Για άλλη μια φορά η κυβέρνηση της Γερμανίας καταδίκασε, σε μια συζήτηση στο κοινοβούλιο, τον οικονομικό, εμπορικό και χρηματιστικό αποκλεισμό (bloqueo) που έχουν επιβάλει οι ΗΠΑ στην Κούβα για περισσότερο από μισό αιώνα.

Σε μια επερώτηση του σοσιαλιστή βουλευτή Βόλφγκανγκ Γκέρκε, ο Υπουργός Εξωτερικών, Μίχαελ Ροτ, επισήμανε την ετήσια ψήφο της Γερμανίας στη Γενική Συνέλευση του ΟΗΕ: "Όπως τα προηγούμενα έτη, η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση έχει ψηφίσει μια ακόμα φορά για την άρση του αποκλεισμού των ΗΠΑ κατά της Κούβας", είπε συγκεκριμένα ο Ροτ.

Ο υπουργός απάντησε σε διάφορες ερωτήσεις του Γκέρκε σχετικά με τη θέση της κυβέρνησης για τον οικονομικό αποκλεισμό και τις εξωχώριες συνέπειές του. Σύμφωνα με τον Ροτ, μεταξύ των ευρωπαϊκών κυβερνήσεων υπάρχει "μεγάλη συναίνεση" σχετικά με την καταδίκη αυτής της πολιτικής της Ουάσινγκτον. "Υπάρχουν πολλοί λίγοι συνέταιροι των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών σε διεθνές επίπεδο που να υποστηρίζουν αυτή τη γραμμή", υπογράμμισε το στέλεχος της κυβέρνησης, αναφερόμενος στις ετήσιες ψηφοφορίες στη Γενική Συνέλευση του ΟΗΕ.

Απαντώντας στην ερώτηση του Γκέρκε σχετικά με τους λόγους καταδίκης του bloqueo εκ μέρους της Γερμανίας, ο Ροτ είπε: "Η γερμανική κυβέρνηση πιστεύει ότι τα μέτρα των ΗΠΑ είναι παράνομα από την οπτική γωνία των εξωχώριων επιπτώσεων τους". Ταυτόχρονα, το Βερολίνο φάνηκε διατεθειμένο να υποστηρίξει νομικά και πολιτικά γερμανικές εταιρίες που υφίστανται κυρώσεις από την πλευρά των αμερικανικών αρχών.

Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα του γερμανικού τύπου, οι τράπεζες Deutsche Bank και Commerzbank βρίσκονται υπό την επιτήρηση των ΗΠΑ εξαιτίας της δραστηριότητας τους στην Κούβα. Επιπλέον, παλιότερο άρθρο των NY Times για την Commerzbank, μιλούσε για πιθανή εξωδικαστική συμφωνία που περιλάμβανε ένα πρόστιμο 500 εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων για τη δεύτερη σε μέγεθος γερμανική τράπεζα. Σε αντάλλαγμα, το υπουργείο δικαιοσύνης των ΗΠΑ θα παραιτούνταν από την απαγγελία επίσημης κατηγορίας. Σύμφωνα με τον Ροτ, η γερμανική κυβέρνηση δεν μπόρεσε να παρέμβει σε αυτές τις υποθέσεις, διότι οι εμπλεκόμενες τράπεζες δε ζήτησαν βοήθεια.

Τέλος, το Κόμμα της Αριστεράς Die Linke ανακοίνωσε νέες πρωτοβουλίες για την αποφυγή της εφαρμογής του αποκλεισμού των ΗΠΑ κατά της Κούβας στο έδαφος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.

Είναι ξεκάθαρο ότι οι σχέσεις των δύο χωρών βρίσκονται στο χειρότερο σημείο των τελευταίων ετών με αφορμή τις παρακολουθήσεις της NSA, αλλά φαίνεται ότι υπάρχει κάτι περισσότερο από αυτό και ίσως έχει να κάνει με την απροθυμία των Γερμανών να απεξαρτηθούν από τον Ρωσικό ενεργειακό εφοδιασμό.

Καθώς οι ΗΠΑ οδηγούν στα άκρα τον νέο ψυχρό πόλεμο, κόβοντας κάθε σύνδεση με τη Ρωσία (http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2014/06/blog-post_25.html) περιμένουν μια ανάλογη στάση και από εκείνους που θεωρούν συμμάχους τους. Είναι πιθανόν ότι όποιος δεν συμμορφώνεται και δεν ακολουθεί παρόμοια πολιτική απέναντι στη Ρωσία να θεωρείται ότι παίζει διπλό παιχνίδι και ότι δεν είναι πραγματικός σύμμαχός τους. Όσο οι Γερμανοί επιμένουν στην ενεργειακή εξάρτηση από την Ρωσία, σε συνθήκες κλιμακούμενου ψυχρού πολέμου, είναι πιθανόν να θεωρούνται "υποτιθέμενοι" σύμμαχοι και όσο και αν φαίνεται ακραίο, ίσως αυτούς να φωτογράφιζαν τελικά οι πληροφορίες που διέρρευσαν από την NSA. Αλλά υπάρχει και ένας υπόγειος οικονομικός πόλεμος ΗΠΑ-Γερμανίας, ο οποίος φυσικά δεν διευκολύνει καθόλου τα πράγματα:
