Ράπισμα στην ΕΚΤ από τον Ευρωπαίο Συνήγορο του Πολίτη για σχέσεις με τράπεζες

Ο πρόεδρος της ΕΚΤ θα πρέπει να αποχωρήσει άμεσα από την «Ομάδα των 30», ένα πανίσχυρο λόμπι τραπεζιτών και νεοφιλελεύθερων οικονομολόγων, αναφέρει σε έκθεσή της η Ευρωπαία Διαμεσολαβήτρια Έμιλυ Ο Ρέιλυ.

Το γεγονός ότι μπορούσε να διατηρεί για τόσο μεγάλο διάστημα και τις δυο θέσεις, επισημαίνει η ίδια, αποτελεί σαφές δείγμα «κακοδιαχείρισης».

O Ντράγκι έγινε μέλος της Ομάδας των 30 όταν ακόμη εργαζόταν στην Goldman Sachs. Έκτοτε όλο και περισσότερα στελέχη της ΕΚΤ συμμετείχαν σε συνεδριάσεις και εκδηλώσεις του πανίσχυρου λόμπι.

Όπως μετέδιδε ο συνεργάτης του INFO-WAR στις Βρυξέλλες Γιώργος Βασσάλος, «η Ομάδα των 30 αποτελείται από κεντρικούς και ιδιωτικούς τραπεζίτες και νεοφιλελεύθερους – κατά βάση – οικονομολόγους. Ένα τρίτο περίπου των μελών της εκπροσωπεί ιδιωτικούς χρηματοπιστωτικούς γίγαντες όπως η Goldman Sachs, η JP Morgan, η UBS κα»

Η «ευρωπαία διαμεσολαβήτρια» κινήθηκε μετά από υποβολή αναφοράς από το «Παρατηρητήριο της Ευρώπης των Πολυεθνικών (CEO) το οποίο παρακολουθούσε για τουλάχιστον έξι χρόνια την υπόθεση.

Όπως έχουμε επισημάνει και στο παρελθόν η ΕΚΤ είχε μετατραπεί σε «γιάφκα» τραπεζιτών οι οποίοι από θέσεις ειδικών συμβούλων προωθούσαν συμφέροντα του τραπεζικού κλάδου σε βάρος των Ευρωπαίων πολιτών. Το θράσος όμως του προέδρου της ΕΚΤ να συμμετέχει παράλληλα σε ένα από τα ισχυρότερα τραπεζικά λόμπι του πλανήτη δεν είχε προηγούμενο, ακόμη και για τα δεδομένα της ΕΕ.
